Something I noticed on re-watching the end scene, Aaron's pint was more than half drank which means he'd been sat there with Robert and Rebecca (and Liv) and not had an issue until she said anything.
oic yea he obvs downs his pint much quicker than Robert :lol:

Just caught up with the episode - genuinely baffled by the :cartman::searchme:: (or Robeccaron as I refer to them) situation
Not overly bothered about :searchme: in general, but it would be nice to have a bit of consistency and continuity in the story:)
I didn't really understand what that looking in the mirror scene was trying to convey:hmm:
I think the scene was to show :searchme: was aware :ninja: was there & she didn't look upset by him watching her. I think she knows she's getting to him & is probably pleased about that.

Just rewatched tonite and when :searchme: says that thing :ninja: kinda screws up his face but I actually just love the expression on :cartman: I thought for a minute it was almost a guilty look that he had told her but don't think it is now it was just him thinking how :ninja: felt (hope I got those right way round)
I thought Rob looked horrified when Bex first said that & then poor Aaron told him quickly not to explain to her about it when he thought he might say something more.

Well I've just caught up with tonight's episode and even though I enjoyed it, it was rather a weird one! Did I miss an episode where :cartman: and :searchme: made up after that scene in the pub where she basically told :ninja: that :cartman: was after her? And did I miss another episode where :ninja: and :searchme: also settled their differences?

Yea thats maybe why, just seems strange to have it different, although bonus for us as we get extra scenes! I love the later bit on the end of the bed, and also the 'almost kiss' where there was a knock at the door. Robert didn't want to waste a second of his time with Aaron :love:

IMO, Rebecca was aware of Aaron's background when making that comment. I think she knows exactly what she is doing in baiting him like that. She wants to make Aaron appear to be the one with the problem so that he will force himself not to trust his instincts and thereby allowing her the opportunity to hang around. She is still after Robert. She's hanging around, asking for Robert's advice and help, in the hope that Robert will see the error of his ways and try to remove her knickers. She has been obsessed for 4 years, that sort of thing does not just go away.
As for Robert, I really do not like the way he is being written at present. Are we supposed to believe that he has suffered a complete memory loss? It seems as if we are given last night's scenes with Rebecca.

It's the sort of thing you would expect from someone that is obsessed with an ex-lover. They make it their business to find out all they can about the life of their ex-lover. They have to because they can't move on.

Yeah Rebecca must be aware of Aaron's background because she seems to know everything else. TBH if ED want her to become likeable then they're going a funny way about it because I just find her irritating :(. At a push I prefer Chrissie because at least she doesn't hide her dislike for people :moonie:
As for Robert, yeah that is a bit confusing too! I guess when he was with Chrissie he was desperate to keep Aaron away from her because they were having a passionate affair but because there's absolutely nothing going on between him and Rebecca, at least not on his part, he doesn't see anything wrong with talking to her? I just wish they'd give her something else to do!!

This heart of gold she's supposed to have must be buried pretty deep. Sorry, but I just can't take to her at all no matter what she does unless she moves completely out of their orbit but I can't see that happening soon unfortunately.:angry:

I think she will use it to her advantage in some way. We have already seen her blackmail Robert (though he seems to have forgotten all about it.) Well I think she may now about the abuse but I don't think she knows about :ninja: and :p inheritance that was a private family matter which wouldn't really be in the public arena and no was do I think :cartman:

I think the whole heart of gold was a case of mis-spelling. I think it was meant to say heart of COLD but someone hit g instead of c :nono:.

Yes indeed, our sensible view has to be that they are getting married, the clip we saw yesterday of Danny and Adam in the scrapyard Danny had his engagement ring on and this was for filming Mid-February so he is still engaged then. We just have to trust IM and ED to develop this story, SSW was excellent and to be honest I haven't found the Robron story so bad so far since its the :searchme: thing and how she fits in that needs some sorting as she doesn't have any place apart from at HF and even there she is having to work at proving herself. I would personally get :searchme: the helicopter back to take her away :moonie:

Yes indeed, our sensible view has to be that they are getting married, the clip we saw yesterday of Danny and Adam in the scrapyard Danny had his engagement ring on and this was for filming Mid-February so he is still engaged then. We just have to trust IM and ED to develop this story, SSW was excellent and to be honest I haven't found the Robron story so bad so far since its the :searchme: thing and how she fits in that needs some sorting as she doesn't have any place apart from at HF and even there she is having to work at proving herself. I would personally get :searchme: the helicopter back to take her away :moonie:

As an observer, I really don''t get the hate for Rebecca. Its obvious that she is just being used to push them closer together, and lets be honest she isn't doing anything hat Aaron didn't do. I'm not a Robron fan or a Rebecca fan really, but with a decent storlyine away from Aaron and Robert (probably with Ross) she would be really good.

As an observer, I really don''t get the hate for Rebecca. Its obvious that she is just being used to push them closer together, and lets be honest she isn't doing anything that Aaron didn't do. Anyway I'd say that pretty much confirms they've erased Robert's money in some way, yet more abysmal writing, not sure I can handle much more even for my Robron/Dryan love.

We don't know she hasn't got the message to be fair. Robert is more than just a good shag, he's good at business which would obviously come in handy to her to make Chrissie look bad. I'm still on the fence really and think she could be up to no good but equally could just be trying to be friendly.

WOW, amazing powerful scenes by Aaron with Rebecca in the 2nd half today. Danny again making me want to hug Aaron, when he got emotional telling Rebecca about his abuse!! :(
That was a good episode - Bex not totally redeemed but slightly better. The only thing for me was I think they went a bit too far with the final remark from Moira - I think the being cosy one was enough. But at least Robert looked disgusted by it.

yes it was a good episode but a drunk Moria had to put the downer on well at least she`s given up at last and the look on Rob`s face he didnt like it and Aaron`s face at the end all worried but it be ok and we have a lovely Robron scene at xmas:cheer::cheer:
The episode also knocked any blackmail tactics for the robbery on the head - Bex looked a bit shocked that Aaron had told Robert. That's a true couples honesty for you! 👍🏻

A lot of good stuff tonight with a couple of scenes that were pure gold. Great to hear Robert's comments to Aaron about loving all those things about him. Also Robert's reactions to Moira's comments.
But ...
- I am disappointed that Rebecca is being left in the Robron circle. Can't she go and find some other friends?
- Where's Robert's money? I was really hoping he would be buying a share in a home with Aaron.

It would have been better if Robert had been included more in the house buy but they did make the point that it was the deposit Aaron was looking for - maybe he wanted to be solely responsible for that at the beginning and this thing about Robert's money will clear things up and he's more involved then.
I thought they were heading for another argument but the way it ended was great - a kiss would have sealed the deal though- but you can't get everything.

Very odd considering the circumstances of it and when you remember the conversation Aaron and Rebecca had for him to suddenly think something is going on not long after. I hope Aaron isn't going to get overly possessive and start making demands but I can see it happening.

From the ep it does seem Robert doesn't have enough money (even for a deposit) especially since it looks like Rob was trying to raise some to get a deposit.
I still don't totally trust Rebecca, but I agree she seemed genuine & I thought those scenes with Aaron were great.
Aaron needs to be reminded that Robert was willing to stay & die with him rather than go on without him when they nearly drowned, shame he's letting what Moira said get to him.

The Moira comment was simply bizarre :cartman: and :searchme: were simply chatting and clinging glasses to celebrate a business deal well done, there was not a inclining of any flirting - weird plot point.

I think she's just there drinking rather than looking for anyone. I think we need to stop looking too hard at 'why' people are in certain places and just face up to the fact that characters will be where they 'need' to be to drive the plots forward. She is there to stir up things between Robron.
Anyway Robron are at the Dingles on Christmas day as there's a spoiler vid of them in a scene there. Poor Robert looks a bit of a spare part just stood there.

Well...I never thought I'd say this but I actually didn't mind :searchme: last night! Yeah -exactly. It was very brief but you could see that Chas was actually quite shocked by what she said. If this hadn't been for plot purposes Chas would have probably told her off. I do think it was a bit uncalled for that comment especially with Liv being there too! But then again plot plot plot as you say!

Yes but at least we know Rob loves his Christmas jumper. I was most excited at seeing both boys in their Christmas Jumpers in the Spoiler pic. Plus looks like Belle is getting another Birthday Party for her actual Birthday. I actually had 3 Birthday Party's when I turned 18 (many moons ago) abroad. Those were the days.... sighs..... :cheer:

I'm absolutely not worried about rebecca now. Robert is clearly just interested in her for any money schemes she has that might help him and his future husband.

I am not suddenly becoming a Bex fan and I know you can't judge things from spoiler pics(as we know from past experience) but in one of those pics Bex does actually look quite embarrassed when Chrissie is supposedly mouthing off about Robert.:D
In that quiz scene last night Robert whispered something into Aaron's ear and Aaron laughed and I got the feeling that was actually Ryan saying something to Danny not as their characters - it looked so natural. :heart:

Yes I think this was the point (two fold really), to show David & Tracy are not really suited and to also show that :cartman: & :ninja: are absolutely suited.

Some thoughts on Robron + :cartman: and the house.
:ninja: has paid the deposit, we don't know whether the remainder of the balance is :ninja:/Liv share of their inheritance + :cartman: although as you state :cartman: alluded to the fact that he would pay the renovations so we are currently making assumptions he isn't contributing (has Robert ever said he doesn't have any money??)
We also don't know who will appear on the deeds of the property, property can have multiple people on the deeds. Also, if Aaron and Liv are on the deeds and Robert isn't then once Robron are married :cartman: will legally be entitled to a proportion of Aaron estate if they separated or divorced, that should be enough.
I get frustrated with people elsewhere stating that the writers are disrespecting the fans, to date and I would say pretty much since the abuse reveal Robron have been well written and exceeded most expectations. Spoilers have pretty much always been better on screen, when something has happened on screen the issue/problem has usually been resolved well above our expectations. In general I feel the writers and IanM have delivered a fabulous Robron story since Aaron told Robert about the abuse.
I also think they have written Robert really well, he returned with Chrissie as her fiancee and since the Aaron affair started the story arc has been pretty logical if you look back. He has clearly had men before from what he said to Aaron but they were quick shags and never seen them again. With Aaron he was tempted more than usual but also Aaron was in the same village and lets say, easily available. I get the impression Robert didn't ever consider a relationship with a man until Aaron came along (I met you and you changed everything). Previously, all the angst and drama was caused by Robert not accepting he was bisexual. Obviously we have seen his love for Aaron grow through to SSW and through that time Robert has changed as a person, he is now 30 years old, realised he is bi, knows he loves a man (Aaron) unconditionally and want to spend his life openly with a man, he is happy and changed and the writers, I believe, have done an amazing job making that change in :cartman: both believable and convincing. I love now how :cartman: still likes the thrill of the deal (and being crafty) and how he likes Aaron to be crafty and naughty sometimes as well, they are perfectly suited and the story has been pretty well crafted.
We will never have a quiet time with Robron, lets be honest if they were baking cakes and crafting that wouldn't be very exciting. They are both challenged characters but they love each other and I don't believe ED will break this relationship for quite a long time. They will have issues, problems, dramas together and separately but they are a great couple together and ED know that.
If there is ever an affair or temptation I don't see this happening for well over a year as there are lots of stories to do yet - wedding/house buying & reno/moving in etc .... tons of material - Sorry this is so long + only 8 emoji per post ..

Well I don't disagree that we do need to understand this as ED made a massive plot of :cartman: getting the BIG cheque from Lawrence/Chrissie of £500k, we know he spent around £40k on the haulage business, we don't know if he has spent anything more but we have not been presented with any large purchases made by :cartman: so we are left to assume he hasn't.
He lives with :ninja: I cannot believe if they pay rent that it is a huge amount, :ninja: & :cartman: don't live a massively lavish lifestyle (shower gel excluded), they don't have hugely expensive cars and I would assume :cartman: pays himself a salary from the haulage business. Taking all this in to account he must have a large bank balance, worth considering, he may have invested it and doesn't have immediate access (this should have been explained), he doesn't want to declare his cash position (I find it hard to believe he would not be honest about this to :ninja:) - so its a mystery.
Based on the writers excellent performance with Robron this year I will see what comes up in the next 1-2 months, I would be surprised if it is not mentioned.

I thought that Roberts money is all going to be explained shortly :hmm: but there's so much stuff everywhere I get confused as to whether its real spoilers or people just guessing but although ED do mess up with sls I think they'll know this would be picked up more than some little errors so I'm sure it will be explained at some point, even if its just a stupid throwaway line :(

I love how :cartman: comes up with the one liners, when :searchme: was dropping him off and she asked where he found his arrogance and he said "shop next door to where you left your spine" and his "todal off then and work on your apology to me" brilliant.
There are many more of course and Ryan delivers the lines so well.

Ryan is a very good but different type of actor to Danny. He plays such a complex character that is often hard to read but that's all down to how well Ryan plays him, even his biggest fans are left doubting him and his motives at times such is the ambiguity of the character.
You don't tend to win awards for this though. Jeff Hordley faces the same problem.
Someone like Danny nails the big emotional angst time after time so it's obvious why they throw it at him and it's always a 'hit' with viewers.

Good point I think this must be right because showing it now only gets up our expections :wub: but if we were sad after Christmas cos no nice robron kiss they ed would have out that out then to make us a bit happier :) also if there is more stuff they may be worried about those people with nothing better to do who have complained that there are too many gay charecters :thumbsdow although Kasim sl might not be what they expecting :nono:

I thought the other soaps there had a lot more erm to complain about :p I cannot see it but i have a cousin in England who watches Holly Oaks and she says they are getting their kit off in almost every ep (prob an exaggeration though) :rotfl:
I think Kasim is probably the fittest in in but it seems that sadly he will turn out not to be very nice for poor Finn :sick:

But I think we have seen them being affectionate, it cannot be all the time otherwise the general viewer would just get fed up with it, currently I am happy with their intimacy

I think he is shy, Gemma Atkinson has admitted this but it think he's only shy/nervous when he's himself in a less comfortable environment for him, such as filming a video on his own or even with Danny tbh where he's been happy to let Danny take control.
I think if it came to just meeting people and chatting to them he wouldn't be shy.

i dont watch CS i argee Robron are in for the long haul just like what IM said when he ove from KO he loved them from the start and yeah we had drama but Robron are the power couple in ED and when when Chas leaves soon when Lucy go`s on materiy leave they wil be the main couple for ED untill Lucy gets back i wonder if we have the wedding a bit early then end of march or April ? i heard Maxine has written 2 eps for Feb and none for march i thought she be the one will write it? i know they got good Robron writers like JP or KH or CM i know IM said they got 3 or 4 Robron fans yeah:cheer::cheer: btw i hope we have a good kiss when they say you can kiss your partener :cheer::cheer::heart::heart:

Amazing episode tonight, a very clever and well thought through way of showing such a dreadful disease, it really showed the complete confusion and distress it causes not just to the family but the sufferer as well which is rarely shown for fear of misinterpreting it.
My father suffer from the disease and one thing that hit me tonight was Ashley's trouble with getting in to the church, steps and doors are big issues for dementia suffers it took me 20 minutes to get my Dad into and out of a restaurant he just didn't want to go through the door.
I loved how different actors played known characters but we got fleeting glances of the real person, superb ... I am also looking forward to Aaron/Laurel chat tomorrow,

Been out all evening have only just caught up with tonight's episode.
Very powerful and heartbreaking - my heart goes out to family and friends who have to cope with someone they love who suffers from that. :heart:
Brilliant performance by John tonight and the actors who played the parts of the regular characters were fantastic - you could tell straight away who they were supposed to be. Definetly award winning material. Well done ED.

I think Ian did a brilliant job but I can see why he would worry, it was a risk but it paid off, very clever to use different actors indeed, as you say highlighted the confusion people with dementia suffer and it also shows the loss relatives feel when they are no longer recognised by their loved ones. All in all Ian gets a pat on the back.
Lets hope he sees the light regarding the White family and Robron and keeps them apart but I suppose he has to finish the current story path until the end.

I am on a hospital committee for patient experience and its very distressing to see how poorly some hospitals score on dementia awareness and care, even in communities with a higher than average proportion of elderly people.
