my lovely robron friends :cheer:
totally ot I know but just wanted to say this
we don't get the show big brother here but I obvs know what it is as is usually all over ds and this afternoon my friend and I (she's better at finding stuff on yt and everywhere than me) have watched a load of stuff with Cameron. if you see that show you'll know who he is. Fair play to him and I hope lots of lgbt lads and girls in England have seen it. My bestest friend is a girl and we've know each other since we could talk and sure we have talked and talked but from what I saw today any gay lad would be very lucky indeed to have a straight friend like Lewis. I hope people over there keep him in the show.
sorry for going ot and looking forward to tonite's joined up hour ed :) and seems for once the new channel its breaking it up
I watched as I always watch Big Brother and will hugely miss it when it has gone. Cameron was very brave. Only 18 years old. Well done to him and a big thank you to Lewis for his support.

No. It needed just half an hour. Very disappointing episode though we did get an explanation from Graham regarding his relatioship with Joe and Kim Tate. However, James has still not been mentioned.

Well I went against advice and watched it .... I am afraid I agree with you all 30mins would have been more than enough, I thought the masquerade ball was going to be exciting and fun and the Kim/Joe/Graham stuff more thrilling ... all in all they are trying to milk a dry cow at the moment.
I agree Melephunk2010 having Debbie moping around does not fill me with happy thoughts.

On another note, do we think ED will change Robrons' surname to Sugden-Dingle or have we been fooled, the language/dialogue used by :ninja: & :cartman: really did sound like they were officially going for a name change, wiki has changed for bits of :ninja: but not :cartman: and the ED site has not been touched but then again the picture of :cartman: is ancient.

There were to many references on screen to Sugden-Dingle being their new name for them not to change it. Maybe they will have to do it by official channels, like when :ninja:changed to Dingle and it will be referred to on screen when the paperwork comes through. I do hope so.

Well i’ve at last watched last nights. It definetly wasn’t worth an hour episode - so this is Kim’s big week and she doesn’t even warrant an appearance in the double episode! Why invite all the Villagers to a big charity ball when there is no way any of them could afford to bid on anything. Is that exit really the end of Joe - it’s a bit feeble surely. Makes you wonder why Kim’s return has been hyped so much when most of it was given away before she even put in an appearance - surely it would have been a much bigger impact if they just left it until she appeared at the ball in a mask. Damp squib expression comes to mind.:thumbsdow

Hi Matty - Kim is an iconic figure and it is a shame if they’ve brought her back just to kill her off but I do feel that something is lacking. Maybe it would have been better if she’d just put in an appearance at the ball first -the impact didn’t seem all that great with the villagers, after all there’s not that many people left now who actually know who she is. I do hope they are going to make a reference to her son James, as you say it’s beginning to look like they’ve just forgotten about him. I’m not finding this storyline entertaining really - it’s maybe just me but it appearances very disjointed and history has been rewritten just to suit what they want to say, Up to now I don’t feel it has warranted the nearly 2 hours screen time they’ve given it. As Eddy said earlier - thank goodness Robron are not involved in this.

I don’t think Joe is actually dead but I could be wrong. That’s an hour of tripe we could have done without. Thank goodness Robron are having a lovely time somewhere away from all this.

I really expected this week to be overwhelmingly good and it has just delivered a pile of underwhelming, rinse and repeat rubbish.
I like Moira and Ross but the Simon story should have been compelling, heart wrenching and dramatic just lost momentum because they dragged it out in such a unrealistic fashion, they could have taken half an episode to deal with it on a journey from rage through to upset and disbelief for the acid attack, it dragged out so much that it lost pace and purpose - shame.
The Kim return was just like some rather worn drag queen entering the room, over made-up with a bad repertoire in one liners, the masquerade ball would surely have been more extravagant and if on a fundraising mission surely would have excluded the villagers. I do not know what the writer or producer had been smoking but the whole thing has been rather random and quite frankly bizarre - comments across social media have not been good for ED at all.
The whole impression is they have run out of smart ideas.
I see ED have changed the banner on Twitter to Joe/Graham, I would have thought this week would have been Kim and the gang.
Shame, lets hope things improve next week.

It was great to see the lovely Claire King back in Emmerdale but I sensed that things were going to go very seriously pear-shaped as soon as I heard her describe her back story with Joe Tate. That made no sense at all. Why would she care so much about the son of a man she hated and who hated her back? Why seek him out when he was so far away in Australia and no threat to her? Why would the eminently decent Zoe Tate abandon her beloved brother's son in a boarding school? Why would Kim Tate pay to place Graham in Joe's school to look afer him? I could go on. All utter nonsense.
I expect Soapland to take liberties with reality for dramatic effect, but not like this.

just speculation my prediction
10 spoilers for the week beginning 22/10/18.
1. Ellis is privately stung when Victoria tells him that she isn’t looking for a serious relationship with him.
2. April tells Rhona and Marlon the reason Leo is being left out at school is that he keeps hitting the other kids and gets special treatment.
3. Megan and Leyla are shocked when they find a mysterious woman, Suzie, ransacking the house but Leyla appears to know who she is. Suzie grabs Leyla’s handbag and a load of jewellery spills out. Suzie declares that Leyla stole them along with her fiancé, Clive.
4. Lydia opens up to Sam as to why she couldn’t attend Grace’s funeral.
5. At Take a Vow, Megan is fuming when clients start to cancel due to Susie’s scathing review about Leyla. Leyla laments over Clive and then gets angry at herself for believing that he loved her. When Clive suddenly appears and begs for a chance to explain things. Leyla is torn but will she forgive him?
6. Ross suggests that they leave the village, Rebecca is surprised and wonders if he is serious.
7. Debbie is left speechless when her solicitor tells her that she has been given bail and can go home but alarmed to hear that she could be looking at five years in prison. Debbie sobs in earnest at her doomed future.
8. Moira’s frustrated when Cain won’t answer any of her questions as to where he’s been and what’s going on with Graham.
9. Chas and Paddy are overwhelmed to see the villagers lining the street towards the church. Chas and her family make the painful walk towards the church.
10. A scheming Kerry takes secret tanning bookings behind Bernice’s back. As she prepares Jimmy for a spray tan, they hear the door unlocking and hide in the spray tent. Bernice and Liam enter, begin kissing and she drags him upstairs.

He does currently care for Seb but he would need to be appointed legally and I would assume :cartman: would want :ninja: to be jointly responsible, part of the legal process would also ensure PD had access rights as well.
The point is that the courts, the police, the legal profession, the medical profession and the social services would all refuse to allow Rebecca sole custody of her baby. Her mental health history is the reason.
My guess is that she would only be allowed access/visits to her son providing there is another suitable adult present. An awful position for any young mother to find herself in. However, in situations like this, it's not about the 'wants' of the mother. It is all about the very best interests and the welfare of the child/children involved.
Her association with a drug abusing criminal like Ross, will only makes matters worse.

Well said Eddy, as I say any court at this stage would give :cartman::ninja: custody, they have proved their ability to care for Seb, are married, have their own stable home, not on the breadline and generally a good proposition.

Spoilers for week beginning 29/10/18. Week 44.
1. Ross and Rebecca start breaking the news they are leaving the village. They prepare to tell Charity and Robert but their attempts are thwarted. But soon Robert overhears a conversation about their plans and doesn’t like what he’s heard.
2. Cain tries to hide his guilt but Moira tells him if he can’t tell Debbie whatever the truth is, then he will have to leave rather than sending Debbie away. When an angry Moira presses him further regarding Joe, Cain makes the horrifying admission leaving Moira utterly stunned.
3. Rishi airs his worries about going to the next level with Manpreet but Nicola has a suggestion for him.
4. As the bad feeling grows, Rebecca suggests to Ross that they wait a few months.
5. Ross is upset but prepares to go alone, he says some emotional goodbyes. Will he really leave alone?
6. A troubled Moira confronts Graham seeking assurance they can trust him not to ever tell Debbie. She’s pained to learn Joe was coming back for Debbie. Moira then hears the voicemail where Joe told Graham he loves Debbie.
There’s some good spoilers coming up in the next few weeks, the only thing I don”t want to see though is :cartman:possibly talking PD out of leaving the Village. I know she isn’t a threat anymore but I’m still ffwd through her scenes, didn’t hear a word she said last week.

Hope everyone has had a pleasant weekend. i’ve had company again since Friday so have been out of the loop. Eventually caught up on part of Fridays episode and have to say I think the week was very over hyped. Claire Kings acting talents were really not given the chance to really shine this week and the fact that she is now out of the picture for 6 months - was this build up really necessary? Even the Simon & Debbie acid attack drama seems to have lost a lot of it’s momentum now - especially as Joe is now no longer around.
Thank goodness the boys are back next week.:heart:

I don't think Adam Barton is coming back just yet. I think this is all about Victoria some how finding out that he has moved on from her, perhaps met someone else or something like that. Once she knows for sure, she will be free to link up with Adam's brother.

The way that both Robert and Aaron's love for him has been emphasised seems to be leading to heartache like Rebecca maybe takes Seb with her. If its revealed by then that Robert is not Seb's father then it will all have been a pretty pointless sl (and maybe a change of plot) but does mean we can see them supporting each other and moving on.
If Rebecca goes leaving Seb with the guyz and it is certain that Robert is the father then I know a lot of people will just accept it but actually I think is wrong in lots of ways cos I don't want Robron having a baby through a drunken ons. A future baby or even an older child for both of them for sure but this was the wrong way and although I not a fan of Rebecca its also pretty insulting to her as well.
If Rebecca leaves without Seb but there is no further information that's bad as well cos its too open for her to return at some future date with "the truth".
Best result: whether through an accident or illness or something like, that the truth comes out that Robert is not the dad so Rebecca leaves with her son and if its Ross then I hope they will all be very happy

Great to see Aaron and Robert. However, there was far too much of Victoria. I'm pleased that she now knows that Adam has moved on so that this story of hers can move on in some way. I’ve finally caught up with the episodes from Wed last week to last night. Won’t dwell on it too much as it has all been discussed by everyone over the last week anyway. All I will say is -
Vic was incredibly annoying.
PD just appeared to be taking up unnecessary space and screen time for no apparent reason. Won’t miss her, you know me, if she does leave in the next couple of weeks.
Seeing our boys in the quality scenes they were in and working together as a couple and a team were wonderful scenes to watch.:heart::wub::love:
Hopefully this throat problem is clearing up and I should be back to normal fitness soon - I wouldn’t wish it on anybody.

The 'bold proposal' is Aaron suggesting to Robert that they have a baby.

Major new spoiler for Aaron and Robert for the week beginning Monday, 05/11/18.
Following Rebecca’s departure, you would think that life as a newly married couple would be a happy time but this is Emmerdale so the chances of that are 0%
Aaron takes his frustrations out on a car and looks for answers from Robert. Aaron feels betrayed and Robert feels terrible. Aaron and Liv are surprised when Robert arrives with Seb, and the family throw an early birthday party for him. When Liv suggests keeping Seb, Aaron’s left with food for thought.
Aaron watches as Robert and Liv say goodbye to Seb and Aaron covers his unease at having to take Seb back to Rebecca. Later on, Robert is worried when he receives a call from Rebecca to say that Aaron hasn’t turned up….
Later Aaron broaches the subject of him and Robert having their own child and Robert is stunned. Aaron is about to reveal their surrogacy plan to Chas but Robert stops him and Aaron realises he’s stalling for time.

Tonight's episode was very good. Aaron and Robert were there, and there were some superbly acted scenes with Chas and Paddy. Lots of Bernice, Kerry and Leyla, 3 of my favourites.
I could have done without the Rebecca and Victoria scenes. Not sure why Emmerdale think they are interesting or necessary. What purpose do they serve? (I don't want Robert's sister to leave the village but I hate her.)

Just my view but I think that the stories have improved recently.
It's interesting that a surrogacy baby is what most Robroners have always wanted. Well, perhaps we will now get it.

Hi guys still in catch up mode after sickness but I’m getting back on track now I think. Caught up on last nights and good to see the:ninja:family scenes, shame his hubby wasn’t around also though. The Chas & Paddy scenes were so sad but brilliantly acted.

Agreed. I don't understand why it is Dingle only. It's not just Moira and Robert that were not there, but also Pollard and Victoria who works with the Dingle family in the Woolpack.

It’s just a shame they had to interrupt these poignant scenes with what I feel were unnecessary scenes that could well have been left for a different day. I did ffwd through those so I didn’t actually hear any of the dialogue.

Hi Don all very emontional from everybody and really pleased Rob was at the service and the gravside and the wake to and with whats happeneing to oiur Robron over the few weeks and months its a new start with them and yes of course our Rob would start a family with his beloved husband but mybe its not the right time to think about it with mybe losing Seb and with baby Grace yeah but if its our Maxines eps i no doubt it be it be well written by maxine

I found the funeral episodes very well done and clearly lots of aftermath to come from both Chas and Paddy.
I thought they struck the right balance with :ninja: supporting both his Mum and Paddy (Dad) and it was so nice and natural that the Sugden-Dingles were sat together in the church with :cartman: being the supportive and caring husband - lovely.
It is really not surprising that they have introduced angst for Robron so quickly after the wedding, it was building that PD was getting with Ross and she would use that as her chance to get Seb back. I am not sure what legal right :cartman: has but I am sure he could go for main carer with clear guidance on PD's access, :cartman: & :ninja: have been caring for Seb for quite a while now, have proved their ability to provide a stable, safe and caring home, :cartman: is Seb's Dad and is in a committed and legal relationship with his husband and have a very suitable environment for the family to live, they have a solid support network in the village, seem comfortable financially and both work (even though we never see them doing so)
What does PD have, she is moving to a strange city with no support network with a man she has known 5 minutes, her only track record of looking after Seb is when she put him in danger, she has memory issues and therefore could put Seb in to an unsafe situation not knowingly but certainly possible and dangerous. PD stands for Plot Device.
It was a nickname coined for her on the DS forum I believe, because she was only ever in scenes when the plot required it and never really had a story of her own. :)

The Chas & Paddy scenes and :ninja:appearances were the only thing I found interesting tonight and you’re right he looked good.
I know I should probably be more invested in the Cain, Joe, Debbie storyline but to be honest I’m not that interested anymore.
I’m sorry but if all Rishi is good for is sex talk and waxing ( which conjures up unnerving images) I really think it’s time he moved on
It maybe and hopefully is PD’s last week but I still have to ffwd through her scenes unless they include the boys as I really don’t care what she does or says anymore.
Hopefully we’re going to see more of the boys as the week goes on.
I agree about the Cain and Debbie stuff. It's just dull. I just don't care about Debbie. Such a waste of Cain and Moira to have to be in those stories. The acid attack finished off Debbie as far as I am concerned. The best thing that Emmerdale can do is to rest that character for a couple of years.
What has happened to Rishi is so sad. I feel sorry for the actor who is talented.

Have to say I managed to put up with PD being in a scene and actually being able to listen to her speak because of the fact that :cartman: was in those scenes and he looked so good. :heart:

I loved :cartman: he is so WITH :ninja: everything is about the two of them, this Seb stuff will be painful for Robron and clearly the issues when :ninja: mentions having their own is connected to it being too soon for :cartman:

In the early scene where there was just Roblivion talking amongst themselves - :ninja:did make a reference to it along with some of the other things that Ross had done. That was actually a lovely family scene to start things off.

It was good to see our boys so united and in such agreement together, their reactions were what made those scenes bearable to watch - their chemistry together is still amazing. They looked good too.:heart::love:

I agree with you about seb and I thiunk it may happen because its maybe being set up that way with Aaron so accepting and caring of him and also being so supportive of his husband that it all just seems its leading up to heartache and them losing him
I think it will be good and they may have a child of their own soon after :angel: and I seen Duncan has a spoiler about Aaron suggesting it which wouldn't seem likely if Seb still around
the only thing is I want it to be clear before Seb goes that Robert is not his father and don't really care how its done :cool:

Well that second episode was worth waiting to watch. Not!! Crocodile tears and this is really all about me not Seb I’m the badly done to one - it’s just vomit inducing to watch her poor victim act. I know this isn’t a nice thing to say but I’m sorry if this case was to go to court I would not be reeassured if I was a legal person to believe that PD was a fit person to be the main parent for a young child if she still has to write things down in a book because she can’t remember them - that is not disrespect to anyone who has undergone an injury like that, there’s has to be a limit to the amount of responsibility that is given in PD’s circumstances.

I'm not sure about Robert not telling Aaron as I think we will see that although it seems he's right to be upset at the moment it might not be that simple and Robert will explain more to him in a little while and that why he makes surprise suggestion. It will all be fine in the end :wub:

Haven’t read anyone’s comments yet but have just watched the episode and I’m sorry but that was a crap ending to this whole PD/Seb thing. It s absolutely ridiculous that a big momentous life changing decision such as letting Seb go off with his brain damaged Mother was made off screen in what appeared like an episode that had a chunk missed out and Aaron wasn’t even consulted.
So Saintly PD happily leaves the village with her son and boyfriend - with her driving a car and yet she has to write everything down because she can’t remember things. She disappears with the happy ending she always wanted - the poor victim.:angry:
Left behind is a devastated family that will never be the same for the loss of Seb, all because she couldn’t keep her knickers up and her hands off Robert - but that doesn’t matter as long as she leaves happily.:angry:
The only good thing about this is that hopefully we will never need to look at her face or hear her whiney, woe is me voice ever again.:cheer::cheer::cheer:
The boys were absolutely gutted, but I have to say they still looked great.:heart::wub:

We know Robert can be evil manipulative and cunning so why did he just give up Seb to Rebecca, I wish we had seen on screen his reasoning of why, was it guilt of all that happened to the White family, a scene of Robert warning Ross to take care of Seb and Rebecca would have been needed too, I felt it was very hushed and made zero sense to me

I agree Robert should prob have talked to aaron first but I can see where hes coming from and in the end its all going to work out ok because if aaron is going to suggest adoption or whatever soon it maybe mean that they come to some agreement about seb :)
Danny is just such a natural with kids :D and he will make a great father he has a big family like me with lots of nephews and nieces and it great being an uncle cos youre always the fun one
as for laurel and bob I thought it was going to wrap up tonite but seems its going to drag on for a bit yet :(

I thought all those scenes of Danny with Lily were so natural looking - I think there’s was a lot more Danny actions there than Aaron..
Hopefully it looks as though the disagreement about adoption/surrogacy doesn't last long and an agreement may be reached soon.
I think the Bob & Laurel thing comes to a close when they are in the pub - in front of everyone.
Maxine excelled herself again tonight, she can really rescue any mess that our boys get in to. She knows how they interact together so much. :heart:

Yes, Robert threw it on the bonfire. I think he just didn't like the idea of Seb drinking out of it.
Great episode tonight. Thank you Maxine for undoing a lot of the damage of last Friday night's episode. :)
