Sorry to go on about this but there’s too much of her tonight for it being a Maxine’s episode - I thought we’d have more Charity.:nono:
Very annoying. :mad: Get her off my TV screen, and she can blooming well take Laurel with her. :mad:

I know it’s ridiculous but hearing PD even talk about Robert sending her a text annoyed me.
Don’t think that episode was worth an hour slot. Not up to Maxine’s usual excellent standards.

There was some good Maxine stuff in there tonight with Charity & Vanessa and it was good that she made a point of making a mention of our boys going out for the night - she’s great at adding those bits in to her episodes. That was a nice bit with the prayer at the end as well. It sort of pulled it together.
I do hope you are right about the Seb parentage stuff coming out again - I do think it’s strange that if Seb is staying that after all this time they are still having him being played by Lily the girl - you would think by now they would have changed the baby to a boy as it is becoming a bit obvious that it’s a girl baby. Maybe that is because Seb is not staying around long term. :hmm:

yea absolutely agree that Robert is not Seb father and never thought it was but I think they going to spin this out for a while yet sadly

Yes, I had a lot of people agree with me which was a pleasant surprise. I notice that the DS mods deleted all the posts that were causing an upset.

You can see Aaron is attached to Seb now so both him and Robert will be gutted if Seb is belong to Ross who already has Moses

hi there yes they both are more so Aaron he`s really taken with baby Seb now that Robron are back togther and Rob will be there for Liv this week and next and Rob will be there for Aaron and suport him now they got there little Family of there own and to topple that will be there wedding sometime this yeah i bet if ED+IM do go that route whose the daddy it will come out and this DNA test will come to light

26th (8pm) - Charity and Vanessa fear for Tracy's safety, Daz receives devastating news, and Debbie bites the bullet.

Hi Matty - I may be wrong but I think both Debbie & Joe are of the wrong age to be the child from this. IM did talk about a face from her past coming back in her life - it is either the poilicenan or maybe the child now grown up is going to appear. It looks as though it was a boy as the baby clothes looked blue in colour. It will come clear in the next few weeks.:hmm:

27th April - Daz struggles to contain his emotions, Vanessa pleads with Charity, and Rishi needs Frank's unique skills
I posted the rest of the week yesterday.
I didn't like the Chas and Paddy stuff. I also think that too much time was spent on Charity and Vanessa and I'm not really finding it believable. But, I loved the Liv scenes tonight, especially now that Gerry is back. And huge respect to Doug for doing the right thing and organising that meeting for the girls.
Too much Ross for me.
Are we about to have another triangle? Rhona with the 2 Barton brothers? Anyone else thinking along these lines? Or has the fact that I was sitting in a dentist's chair for over 2 hours this morning barbecued my brain?
Just caught up on the second episode.
If I was Chas I would be using Aarons phrase ‘Do one’ to Paddy he is so OTT with everything and it all has to be what he wants. I’m pleased she got annoyed at the end of the episode.
I may be looking at this completely the wrong way but I do think it is a shame that they have turned Ross’s acid attack into a drug addiction storyline. Even his scars seem to have gone down awful lot more to what I would have thought was believable in the time that has passed.
I’m actually finding the Vanessa & Charity stuff a bit cringeworthy - there’s a time and a place for some things.
Liked the Liv & Gabby scene’s. It’s a shame they had to take things down the route they did with the Ketamine thing.
Thought we might have had one of the boys in the second episode.

I like Gerry cos I think he means well even though he doesn't always say it right and its nice that Robert obvs seems to be fine having him being around and joshing with him
agree with you don about ross and painkillers but I think ed prob done lot of research so maybe an issue in rl but you also right abut his scars which do seem to be getting better but I think they must also have looked into that and it's lime we viewers know him so it maybe like how friends would see him kinda looking through the scars to the person. His hair and beard getting longer I suppose to shoe he doesn't care
It's prob that English and Irish humour bit different but personally I can't see point of constant body function stuff specially if having your tea at the time

It was a bit contrived that Joe just happened to be passing at that time and of all the Solicitors he just happened to know her. You can imagine what will happen if the boys find out he had anything to do with it. It does look very much like Liv gets sent down for a while after seeing that clip of Zach & Lisa after the trial and the way they are talking. Isobel will be great in those scenes, if we see her, or maybe it’s a way to get her off screen for something else but hope it isn’t and as you say Robron will support each other through it. Please let this be the end of all theirdramatic stuff for a while and let’s have some tender moments for a bit.

I reckon Joe doesn't necessarily know he's taking a lawyer off Liv, he probably thinks that Louise is defending Aaron or Robert for something they've done. I wonder if Aaron and Robert find out this week about Joe. I also think Bex is a goner in four weeks or so, but then again, I'm always wrong. :cheer:

I do think that Liv will end up being locked up for a while but I don’t think it will be months. Maybe they will go down the appeal route again because of an ill prepared Lawyer - if that can be used as a reason? You could be right about Joe I do think he would probably more target Aaron or Robert and not Liv, if her Lawyer was any good she should surely not go into details about who is actually involved in her case anyway. :hmm:
I do hope you’re correct about PD being a goner - there will be a big party if she does. :cheer::cheer:

Have just caught up with the episode. That was ridiculous. The Solicitor looked as though he’d been down the pub for hours before going to court and if you’ve paid for a Solicitors service up front surely they should honour the agreement or at least call you in person to explain why they can’t do it, not send a text message. This is becoming ridiculous that Joe appears just at the right moment every time. It doesn’t actually say much for the Solicitor if she let Joe buy her off as he must have done. He is just a complete and utter ****. Poor Liv she did not deserve that and yet again Gabby walks away with very little punishment. I’m sorry this may sound very controversial but I honestly have no sympathy for Lisa, she deserves everything that happens to her - she has come out of this with no after effects at all.
The only good thing about that episode was that the boys looked great.:heart:

I'll just add, that in the real world, the judge is highly likely to have thrown out a solicitor like that and ordered a postponement. No way would they have imposed a custodial sentence on someone with that sort of representation, especially when aware that the client's original solicitor was not present.

Well lets be fair Liv didn't help herself did she, rubbish solicitor (I would sue) but having a 'whats the point' cocky attitude did not help at all, a little remorse would have been helpful.

True, Liv would have maybe stood more chance if she’d at least said sorry rather than nothing at all. I do hope ED have some kind of follow up about that useless Solicitor as it did not give a very good impression at all.
Aaron was entitled to take the action he did tonight, and Robert was a lot quieter than he would have been in the past but he was there to support and comfort his man.

If it is necessary for a programme to repeat a similar storyline they could at least wait longer than just over a year ago before they do it. It doesn’t show much originality when you have to do that and must make it boring for the cast involved.:nono:

I totally agree with you. I feel like they are portraying Robron like a couple of doormats that people can just walk all over. No matter how they have supposedly changed the characters of Aaron & Robert to be more tolerant and open and talk things through, that didn’t mean they had to take all the fight out of them for what is right and wrong.

I’ve just caught up with tonight’s episode been washing and doing gardening and real life stuff.
I thought they were lovely scenes with our boys, very short but Robert showing his concern for Aaron’s well being and Aaron showing that he was taking notice of what Robert said and what were the real important things to be thinking about. :love:
Sandra has got a bit of a nerve kicking off about the way that Liv has been cared for. How much interest has she actually shown during the time that Liv has been living there?:hmm:
I’m sorry but I don’t really find Paddy & Marlon very funny, I find them rather childish the way they go on. That scene with them in the pub before Marlon asking Jesse out was like kids in a play ground.:nono:

There's not much there that interests me apart from the Graham/Megan story line. I can cope with the Ross stuff with Peter and Rhona but I lose all interest when Debbie is factored into the equation. Far too much Borel and the latest Jimmy and Nicola 'funny' stuff just sounds totally tragic.
I guess I will not be watching all of next week's episodes but I am keeping my fingers crossed that we get some decent Robron spoilers on Monday evening.

As for the vets practice, what is a matter with them? After what happened to them recently, I would have thought that they would have made it far more difficulty for someone to walk in? Alarm? Drugs kept in something resembling a safe not a bathroom cabinet?

I think IM was lucky in that he inherited a strong Emmerdale from Kate Oates. And now, he is again lucky in that KO is leaving him with a strong Corrie. I think he brings very little to the table and that we are beginning to see that in Emmerdale.

Sorry, but Ross going about things the way he is, makes him as much a criminal as the one that attacked him. This cheapens the acid attack storyline and to top it all we get Joe involved in this too - when will Joe get his comeuppance, this is becoming so boring.
That was a terrible episode it seemed to jump from one thing to another all the way through.:wall:
At least with our boys on there is a little bit more continuity.:heart:

Unless this storyline is to highlight bedroom problems when somebody is under too much stress ... having Misty as sex therapist does not convince me but maybe there will be more proper professional advice on this subject .. but at the time Emmerdale is shown, I doubt it
All in all, another poor episode, especially the continuous sexual themes which have no plot point to them (at least, not so far).
As for Debbie, I wish she would stop acting like she is the victim. It's primarily her fault for getting involved with a low life like that and telling him to make a mess of Joe. Why is she angry with Joe? It's not his fault on this occasion. He's just trying to help.
All in all, another poor episode, especially the continuous sexual themes which have no plot point to them (at least, not so far).

It was just a case of being fed up with too much overload of the same subject all week that made me stop watching tonight.:wall: The tolerance level is completely different when it concerns people I’m really interested in.:p

ed never the same when theres not even a mention of robron :(
a lot of it pretty boring and expect Kerry and Dan supposed to be lite relief to heavier stuff like Ross and the death of Ali but I could do without it :cool:
in fact ed seem to show half the village at it except our boys :crying:
I think that a large part of the problem for Emmerdale is that they do not have the material and the resourses for 6 episodes a week. And, there are some weeks where this really shows. For example, this last week.

Morning Eddy.:cheer: I totally agree. It also showed I’ve felt this week that this ‘block storylining’ doesn’t really work well especially if your block storyline is based around Nicola & Jimmys bedroom escapades which doesn’t as far as I’m concerned warrant a weeks viewing. :nono:

Well, that story line is one of the worst ever on Emmerdale. It's not funny, it's boring, it's far too contrived, it's vulgar, it's insulting to an adult audience, it's a waste of the actors' talents and it is really being stretched out. It proves the need to drop one episode a week. With less screen time to fill, rubbish like that would not be needed for 'filler'.

My personal opinion is that some of IMs storylines were very good and others weren’t thought out enough to consider the consequences of what reactions they would achieve. Let’s be grateful to KO for giving us Robron in the beginning. IM has taken their relationship to the next level, maybe some times the path he put them on wasn’t always the best but they got there in the end. I would hope that the proper wedding is already in the pipeline and gives us what we want. I’m still not convinced that Seb is a long term addition to the cast as a Sugden family member and I do hope that PD’s days are numbered or at least she is taken thoroughly out of Robrons orbit.

IM has been awful with the exception of a few 'specials'. I will never forget what he did to all the huge number of loyal fans. He gave us the Robron wedding and then allowed the couple no happy period together. He went straight to the ONS with a hated character. Most of his story telling has been slow, often not making any sense. For example, why did he bother showing Rebecca repeatedly sleeping with Ross and then not have a paternity test to see who the father was??? (One of many examples.)
He has ruined several of my favourite characters by giving the constant personality changes and allowing them to forget their history. For example, Victoria not standing up for Aaron. Turning Moira into a murderer, and so on.
I could go on ... he can't do comedic stories as we've seen this last week with Jimmy and Nicola ... he uses serious social issues to get media attention but never treats them properly, he introduces cartoon characters like Joe who are tedious to watch and unbelievable ...
