I have to say Robert looked stunning - even if he didn’t even say a word, Tanned, blond, blue suit - say no more.:p
Sorry but Vanessa is just annoying - can she just keep her mouth shut when Charity is being spoken to by the police.:wall:
Apart from too much Sharma rubbish and the Megan & Graham stuff and annoying Vanessa that was a reasonable episode.
It would have nice to see more Robert content than just seeing him standing there looking good silently. Would it have been too much to ask to have a scene with him talking to his husband about what had happened with his Mum.:heart:
I must be honest and confess that I did enjoy watching Charity tormenting Megan about the Graham nonsernse.

Everyone knows my feelings about PD and how her being a victim would be received. What I find interesting is that with a lot of the articles that are out about his possible 3 victims, Liv, Robert & PD, that there are many vocal comments attached to them on Social Media about it not being Robert or Liv and not a large number about it not being PD - similar to when it came out about Gerry that there were a lot of comments about not wanting him killed off. Surely this must say something about the reception of a certain character. :hmm:

I suppose "lifeless body" doesn't necessarily mean she actually dead and while I'd be happy for her to go but ed really can't leave question of who is father of seb unresolved (although we haven't seen him much lately) :searchme:

PD - stands for ‘Plot Device’ and Rebecca White has been that since she arrived so that is how she is referred to on here by some of us.

PD stands for 'Plot Device' and is the name given by many fans of Aaron and Robert for Rebecca White. It is felt that the only reason that she was bought into the village was to provide them story lines like the 'one night stand', and to provide them with a child.
PD also serves as a useful abbreviation.

I am quite liking some of the ED stuff at the moment, Chaddy is OK and well acted, Matty is also well acted and a nice evolving story.
I hope this next phase of the Lachlan (evil) curve is going to bring that story to some kind of conclusion as it is feeling somewhat protracted now, if Lucky tops PD then he will get a gold star from me .... :cheer::cheer::cheer:
Looking forward to Robron being together again, they do seem to always be off screen in July, I am liking that :cartman: is parenting Liv it shows they really are a family unit.
I really would like more detail on their engagement but I suppose a surprise is always nice :clap::moonie:

Still, not a drop of rain here yesterday, despite all the forecasts. Just too hot and too humid. Apparently, Londoners will have to wait until Tuesday for 'cooler' weather with temps of about 25c.

We know there’s bound to be a drama leading up to the proposal but hopefully PD won’t be too involved as unfortunately from seeing a cast list for next week it doesn’t seem she’s going to disappear for long. Hi Don all true i see the Metro is making a big thing about this week saying laclan kills 3 people the most brutal yet but we know its not Rob or Liv yeah because they in it next week when Aaron is asking Liv about asking Rob to marrying yeah but i wonder if we have a hosptal scene or 2 thjis week or next week and they are Rob bedside and its Aaron turn at Rob`s bedside seing if he wakes up well some of the stuff is emborged yeah for certain reasons yeah

I said that too - that I didn’t see him tamper with anything else. It’s being talked about a lot on Twitter too. This could be a major slip up from ED’s editing - they seem to have missed a scene. :wall:

as for the mill I thought that carbon monoxide poisoning happen when something like a boiler is faulty but we didn't see any of that and they wouldn't be having heating on now :searchme:

I am obviously missing things because according to some places, apparently Lachlan had blood on his shirt when he came back from killing Terry on Friday and I never saw it. That’s right that it has to be the actual gas equipment that causes the leak so unless he does something extra tonight I think they’ve slipped up there - again!
I agree with you about Matty & Vic it all seems far to quick for something like that to develop. After all Vic is still officially married to Matty’s brother Adam and Matty said himself just the other day that he has never fancied Vic - do the writers even look at previous episodes to see what a character has said recently?

Some lovely Robvlivion scenes so far. Liv ok which is good and Robert recovering - even in a hospital gown and with the bed hair looking good. Aaron doesn’t seem to be too damaged after the chicken pox, o facial scars.:heart:
I like Thomas Atkinson. Good actor. I wish that Emmerdale had taken his Lachlan character in a different direction, one that would have made it easier to keep the character in the village. But they didn't do that.
It is what it is and the Lachlan stuff has now dragged on for far too long. It's become far too unbelievable and totally boring and needs to come to a quick end.
Enjoyed that tonight some really good full scenes with the boys and Liv. :heart::wub:
Could have done without the David stuff but there’s got to be other things going on as well - can’t expect the boys to fill the whole episode as much as we’d like it.:D
I’ll say it now! I enjoyed that tonight for a lot of the Robron content but also because PD wasn’t on screen - if only this was what we could expect from now on.:rolleyes:

Tuesday – Graham is plagued by his past. Chas is caught in the crossfire. Lydia receives terrifying news. (one hour long episode)
Wednesday - A sad anniversary bonds Sam and Samson. Lydia arouses suspicion. Ross exerts his power over Cain.
Thursday (7pm) - Ross has a breakthrough. Pete is embroiled in a criminal act. Police descend on the village.
Thursday (8pm) - Ross faces a race against time. Paddy admits his deception. Bob makes a monumental decision.

It looks like Lachlan has got away with what he caused and yet again Robert has ended up thinking something was his fault when it wasn’t.

Loving the pacing of the boys stuff tonight. One scene something seems to being put to the side and then in the next scene it’s being discussed again as a possibility and rethinking is going on about the situation.

Yet another way of dragging this storyline on. At least Robert and maybe even Paddy are both thinking she is telling the true facts. Really enjoyed the Robron interactions tonight. I’m not sure who the writer is for the double proposal. Maybe Eddy knows as he’s really good at finding out that sort of info I’m never sure where to look to find the writers names. It would be good if it was Maxine but hopefully they are saving her to write the actual wedding episode.
I do think Liv will be the one to bring about Lachlans downfall. Robert is already very doubtful about him and believes Liv’s ideas and it will only be a matter of time before Robert talks Aaron around to their way of thinking and then they will all be involved in it. There will be some brilliant performances no doubt from all three of them, I can’t wait for this to happen. It really is time that this Lachlan storyline was brought to a close.

So the police believed every word that Lachlan said - that is ridiculous.
Lachlan a teenager going to The Mill with Lydia (who should be keeping her nose out - it doesn’t concern her) and talking to two grown men like that is absolutely appalling. If Robert and Aaron don’t start to doubt this now the producer/writers have completely lost the plot.:wall:

I love that they are both at the same stage in their relationship in wanting to get legally married, it obviously is important to both :cartman: and :ninja: to have that level of commitment and all of that currently seems because they love each other not because of a baby/sister or anything else just LOVE.....
Some have complained throughout the week but I think Robron seemed more of a couple than ever even without any kissing, its the relaxed nature of them being together and completely in tune that has given it a special feel to me and also the very visible acceptance of :cartman: as :ninja: partner with Chas and Paddy. :cheer::cheer:
Overall, very encouraging and loving the suggestions that the proposals will be light hearted and rom-com style, a pleasant change. :heart::heart:

I agree with you about Best Bad Boy as he has played it well as long as they don’t drag this storyline on for too long though as it is starting to get very predictable and also more and more like a storyline already told this year elsewhere - especially the captive bit!

I agree with you. Lachlan's story line has gone on for far too long. Despite that, I really do feel that Thomas Atkinson deserves to win that award for all his work since his character's arrival in Emmerdale.

I wish I could be like that I know I must be annoying to you all going on and on about her. Hope you’re right that she’ll be gone soon. We must be getting near the start of the new ones stuff but I suppose some of the storylines will have been done a while in advance so we may have to wait for the complete change. It sounds like things could improve a lot. There is some good stuff coming up for our boys that will make up for anything else. :heart:
There does seem to be a lot of things all going on at once tonight and not a lot of focus on one thing. Not the usual Maxine way of doing things. Not sure what the Marlon & the girls thing is about - mustn’t be paying enough attention to that story ark. Really liking the scenes with Ryan - he’s a breath of fresh air and quite witty with it. Good to see Vic getting involved with other people again. Missing the boys though.🙂

Hi Matty - I’ve seen that article too. Hope it’s true. This has been discussed since the baby was first expected but nothing was ever written about it until now, so it does make you wonder if it’s actually going to come to something after all. Especially as Ross is leaving. Let’s keep our fingers crossed and the boys end up having a child together a better way after they are married.:cheer:

(There are a few tweets that said that they were pleased to see her again but most replies are like the ones above. There are also quite a few people that are annoyed that this is too close a story to what happened in Coronation Street recently.)

Two naughty soap locals have done something they shouldn’t together. And someone knows. Cue awkwardness – and a step closer to a very angry reveal. Yikes!
Things are getting far too much for a troubled resident who is holding more than one secret. Can anyone stop them leaving for good?
A trip out leads to a spooky series of events for a group of soap youngsters. this lot aren’t – this is some serious danger they may never come back from.
One soap favourite is confused when he sees his BFF flirting up a storm with someone and gets the wrong idea. Which makes things more than a little complicated.
Desperate to impress, a soap teenager takes on a dangerous and criminal job for a gang. And he could live to regret his actions in a major way.

I think the third one relates to the Emmerdale children playing in the woods close to where Rebecca is being held.
Hi Fellow Robroners lets all stay postive and im sure ED+IM will give us some loveley scenes for there propsuals and in the layby where it all began and im sure we get a lovely hug+Kiss for certain and this wedding be well worth it Robron forever and if a certain poster donet like it they can shove of put there nasty comments somewhere else Robron are the best thing that has happened in ED for ages and the wedding will be the icing on the cake and it be all romantic:heart::heart::cheer::cheer::moonie:

Hi Matty - i’m sure the next few episodes about the proposals will be great. Some tender scenes coming up - I’m certain. There are ways of passing a comment about something without being unnecessarily nasty and that’s what some of the other forums are there for - not us! The wedding will be wonderful.:heart::wub:

Finally, we've had some quite heavy thundery showers, from mid-afternoon onwards. Thunder was so loud! Very nasty but so welcome. Temperatures quickly fell from over 30c to about 27c right now. Still too humid and hot but things are moving in the right directio. I'm hoping that I may get a good night's sleep for the first time in a long time.

We’ve had it here too. It’s down to 24c in my part of the world. I do prefer it a bit cooler - uncomfortable when it’s too warm - after all we’re not used to hot weather ‘Up North’.:lol:

I like hot and sunny weather but not like this. It's been far too hot and humi. To make matters worse the air quality in London so poor. I just want to have a good night's sleep.

It's such a shame that Jessie has been taken down the comedic road by the Emmerdale writers. Such lazy writing. Jessie is a strong, intelligent, professional woman. She deserved a storyline with intelligence and of more dramatic substance.
After the way scenes have been played this week I have visions of the following on Monday -
Robron eventually arrive at the lay-by - immediately cuts to a long PD scene - Robron scene at the lay-by where both in unison say “Will you marry me?” - immediately cuts to long PD scene - Robron scene where they both say “Yes of course, you idiot” - immediately cuts to another long PD scene and then the credits roll with her alone in the cabin, again!!:rolleyes::wall:

Well, not sarcastic at all. I'm annoyed at the overlap. It takes a lot away from both of the stories. Emmerdale are trying to squeeze far too much into each episode.

As you know I am not a PD fan :rotfl:but the scenes may actually have been more bearable if they had been done as a two hander episode focusing on PD & Lachlan alone.
It goes without saying that anything involving Robron should be focused into an episode including only them. :heart::love::love:
