I laughed to myself that Lily/Seb seemed completely uninterested in Lachlans presence but kept looking over at Aaron /Danny instead. 🙂
There did seem to be a few instances tonight where Lachlan was talking about PD in the past sense - made me wonder a bit if she is actually still around - maybe that is just wishful thinking on my part and them building up the surprise for her returning.
I don’t blame Matty being like that with Vic - I’m sorry but she deserved every word he said to her.
Not sure about tomorrow night but I know that both Aaron and Robert are there on Thursday.

Hi Fellow Fans wet day got we today while i went for a walk lol back watching Lewis at 5pm on itv 3 and then Star wars on itv2 after ot looks like the soaps mags in the w/e papers not giving nothing about laclan stuff and nothing about Robronlivion only a bit about sandra wants LIv to come and stay and Aaron+Liv plan a trip to to see her but that will change when all the Laclan stuff comes to light

i’ve just now sat through Fridays episode and t be honest I’m wondering why I did.
Brenda giving her opinion about Liv’s results I thought was none of her business.
The Marlon, Jesse Pete & Rhôna stuff I found unnecessary. I do wish they’d dress Jesse better, those costumes (which I’m sorry but they remind me of sofa covers or curtains) are not flattering and she deserves so much better.
Thank goodness Misty has gone, constant talk about their sex antics was becoming uncomfortable to watch.
How many more lies is Lachlan going to come out with and how much longer are people going to believe every word he says - t’s just getting so repetitive.
The only good bit were the chats that Doug & Liv had.
Everything just seemed very filler stuff. Sorry to whinge guys - I just miss our boys when they are not on.

His storyline comes to an end soon, he would have been found guilty of his crimes or he gets killed .. those scenes would have been filmed already so I am quite happy to see him look for work and I hope he gets it soon, he has become a cracking actor during his time on Emmerdale in my opinion.

I total agree with you. Thomas Atkinson has hugely grown as an actor. Good luck to him for his future career.
It's such a pity that Emmerdale didn't take Lachlan's story in a direction that was going to require his eventual departure.

Rodney is not a character that I am normally interested in, though he is ok. But, I was interested in what was happening tonight. Patrick Mower is a great actor and his performance tonight was superb.

I don't think it's a red herring. I think it's only a question of when Lachlan will go, not 'if'.

He is definetly the better actor of the White family left around (although Lily/Seb does have some wonderful facial expressions).
Shame the story hadn’t just simply been that PD caused the car accident and the only survivor was Lachlan and he and Belle managed to start a new life together - he had a lot of potential for other stories that didn’t actually need for him to be a killer and he could have been the bad boy turned good storyline for a change. I know that wouldn’t have made for long screen times but not everything has to drag on for months and months and have characters involved that no one is really interested in.

Considering she hasn’t bothered at all about Liv for months and why would you want to move in with your Step-son & his husband/partner when they are planning a wedding. Doesn’t give a very good impression as to what is important to her really, just what’s convenient when it suits her. :hmm:

I quite liked the Robron stuff tonight although it was funny that they were eating in both there scenes, I am sure the writer/director could have been a little more creative but at least they were nice domestic scenes. Robert clearly doesn't have any time for Sandra but I suppose she is the reason they were lumbered with Liv so early in their relationship (although it doesn't matter now) and Sandra does not seem to have been supportive at all. I didn't see Robert saying he was staying behind as any more that he did not want to see Sandra, and Aaron's view was that is would be almost bearable if they went together but he clearly wasn't that bothered either way, he didn't even ask who Robert was helping out.
Overall, nice to see them and obviously Robert staying is so he can look at hot and bothered in the barn when Lachlan is waving his weapon around.
Robert sitting outside at the cafe was plotty random as well.

I broadly agree with you. I'm pretty sure that Robert is not shot. At most, he may get shot at by Lachlan but the bullet will miss.
Looking at the spoilers, it seems that Robert falls ill. He has a seizure of some sort after Aaron and Liv return from their visit to Ireland.

i also still don’t think seb is roberts and never have. could be all this adoption talk is to build up the hurt of the guyz when the truth finally comes out. if he is roberts and one way or another rebecca isn’t around and they adopt him as a couple i really don’t think i’d go on with it. if ed wanted them to adopt this was just absolutely the wrong way to do it.
anyway i’ll deffo stay with it to the wedding and see what happens. i think it could just be that the truth comes out about seb at the wedding . . . so tears of sadness and joy but maybe that’s just me wishful thinking :wub:

Emmerdale need to tighten up their story lines. They drag them out for far too long, especially the better ones. But, viewers are getting bored and a lot of people are complaining just like you. For example, the Lachlan stuff was good but has been spoilt as it has been dragged out. This has been going on ever since IM took over. So, now that he has gone, I'm hoping things improve.
Another trait from IM is a huge lack of attention to detail. Too often characters forget their own recent history and personality. Again, I'm hoping that this will change with IM's departure.
There has been some good stuff in recent weeks, like the arrival of Ryan. Matty is not working too well for me but I'm going to give the character a chance as he is so new. The weakness being that having made a huge fuss about his history, it now seems that it has been forgotten and he is just another straight male looking for 'fit birds' (his words, not mine). A similar thing happened to Joe Tate, the Ross acid attack and elsewhere.
PS - I live in outer north London which is quite a long way from the Notting Hill carnival in west London. I've never been and would never go. I hate it.

I don't like the character he is playing but Rocky is playing the part very well. Rocky Marshall is a good actor with a lot of good TV and film work to his name.

Bails is a real sleazy character I do hope that Charity does go through with the case and he gets his come uppence. The trailer dates made it seem it was going to happen this week but I think it was maybe that it was meant that the trailer would be shown during those dates but would really start to take place when September came. Thanks Eddy. i’ve eventuality caught up on it. Charity & Ryan were good. Debbie annoyed me at first with everything being about her and how was she going to cope with it but she did redeem herself later by actually trying to get to know him. I know it’s a lot for Noah to take in but I do feel he ended up acting the spoilt child who wpuldn’t listen to reason. I only really watched those bits properly, the rest I skimmed through and I’m sorry but I find Rishi very annoying and I can’t be bothered to watch any of his scenes now so if any of them are worthwhile I will have missed it.

I cannot imagine they are doing a :cartman: has a seizure story without it having a purpose otherwise whats the point of it, it has to be leading somewhere. I would hope we will get dialogue which will make it all a little clearer,
Another thought, I can appreciate :cartman: being distressed mainly for Seb (not himself), the little boys Mum is allegedly dead but there is no body and everyone is building a memorial (weird in itself), I think I would be frustrated without more searching and evidence.
Finally, :cartman: loves :ninja: ... as much as I want PD gone I do not get that hung up on it, Robron have to have some form of relationship with her if they are going to share Seb and its been made pretty clear that they will all be civil and Aaron will deal with it (see above about why Robert is fussing).

My problem is that the Robron story feels like it is stuck in a groove with her. We have had to witness them dealing with one Rebecca led issue/situation after another since her arrival. We have had this for 2 years and it is difficult to remain interested, it's no longer fresh. Roxanne is a disgrace. She has a very LONG history of bullying and intimidating others by suggesting that they have behaved inapproppriately or violently towards her. Ryan Thomas did nothing and yet she repeatedly made accusations that could easily have ruined the life of a decent, gentle and innocent man with a young family to raise. The lies she told can easily ruin lives.

Let’s just say I was OTT with a comment I made about an article and really showed myself up in the process and it ended with me admitting I was wrong and could we forget about it, but that I wouldn’t change my opinion on the actual character. It was very scary to watch and Lachlan has just completely lost it, he is frightening,
Brilliant acting from all involved in this storyline - Ryan as usual was amazing with his expressions and of course looked great, armless of any situation he was in.
I don’t know how long he can be on the run for but I think it will happen for a while anyway.
The other stuff was filler.

It's still IM's work as everything is planned about 5 months ahead.
Once again, great performances from Thomas Atkinson and Ryan. Superb episode apart fropm the Debbie/Joe nonsense. I could also have done without the silly Matt/Victoria business and the ridiculous plotty lengths that Emmerdale has gone to in order to justify his moving out from Moira's home.

one thing is that Robert is bigger and stronger than Lachlan and would prob have well overpowered him in that struggle specially when he was on top of him (lucky guy :angel:) but all makes for good sl and it coming to a head now and i'm really enjoying it

I may be wrong but I think there’s probably still a lot of IM stuff in this - I haven’t made a point of reading the credits but I did read somewhere that at the beginning of the week IM was down as Producer.
It must be getting to the point where the new producers take over fully soon - depends I suppose how far in advance the storylines were agreed.:hmm:

That’s true - he’s much more animated and watchable in scenes with them.
I would guess from that tonight that it’s pretty certain that PD is not dead.:(

I enjoyed watching Lachlan tonight, I always do. It was a huge relief listening to him confessing stuff to Belle and Robert because there's no way the story can go back from there. It is the beginning of the end of this story and that is just great.

HI Eddy good point when he fell over and banged his head on the table and of course Posineing at Mill Cott too but at least we all know hes going fine and of course he`s got his true love Aaron who will look after him and mybe this could trigger the wedding next month

It was very scary to watch and Lachlan has just completely lost it, he is frightening,
Brilliant acting from all involved in this storyline - Ryan as usual was amazing with his expressions and of course looked great, armless of any situation he was in.
I don’t know how long he can be on the run for but I think it will happen for a while anyway.
The other stuff was filler.
Will watch later but it sounds brilliant.
After Robert's horrid experience with Lachlan no wonder he is obsessed with the PD stuff, he know Lachlan has lost it and he cannot believe there is no body.

That was a really frightening punch that - Roberts head really hit that table hard, I was surprised he was was conscious in the next scene. It’s bound to have had some adverse affects.:(

Debbie is now engaged to the man that she paid to have violently assaulted, an event that led to Ross having acid thrown in his face. She is being rewarded with a millionaire lifestyle. Her accomplice won a £10,000 prize from Joe. Both avoided having to face a criminal court, whilst an innocent man has been permanently disfigured and has had his life left in ruins.
When Emmerdale get it wrong, they get it very wrong. If IM was not forever chasing media headlines, good sense may have prevailed before an awfully cruel message was sent out to the viewing public. :mad:

morning Eddy i argee with 100% its about time Debbie to face some sort of police for the acid attack but of course shes another saint just like PD but that one could be going soon i hope that was IM saint PD who can no wrong and lets all feel sorry for ah no this wedding of Joe+Debbie is a complete joke and farce they have no chemistery at all and i wonder who Graham was talking to ? some think its Zoe ? and some thinks its Joe`s sister Jean?

That’s brilliant. Ryan is so talented.
The couple of clips where he is using his original Sheffield accent is uncanny as he sounds so much like Sean Bean the actor who is also from Sheffield. I’ve often thought if they ever remade the series Sharpe, that Ryan would be able to take over the role and he would be very similar to him, in looks and voice.
Ryan is just so versatile.:bow:

They are amazing!! I love the little squeakiness he's got on the mcdonalds one, and he sounds so different so you go through them... I've probably seen these adverts a million times and never knew it was Ryan so it's a nice surprise! lol
Lots of Robert, always a good start to an episode.
Thomas Atkinson continuing to deliver a superb performance at Lachlan. He deserves to win 'best villain' in all the TV awards this coming year.
Good scenes with Lachlan & Belle.
Great to see so much of Robert and how he is so together with the Dingle family. He looked good too, even with the head bruise.:bow:

It's just great not to have silly comedic filler nonsense. Usually they do whenever a big story is being featured but tonight's episode clearly shows why it really isn't needed.
