It's being suggested that both Danny and Ryan will be at tonight's soap awards, along with many more from Emmerdale. Apparently they will be seated next to each other.

Yes, once he has had a few drinks, Danny talks a lot. Given this, we might get a little bit of Robron info.
Yes we might well get a few snippets of what’s to come, he’s good at that and Ryan tends to say things without giving too much away. 👍
There’s a few other cast members it would be nice to see also but there are a few others that I wouldn’t be bothered about if they don’t put in an appearance.:rolleyes:

Emmerdale's choice for that category, Graham and Joe, was an awful decision. And that punch they keep showing looks so fake.

I'm going to say it and I'm sorry but Emmerdale did not deserve to win best scene in the last 20 years. Didn't even deserve 2nd place but well done to them anyway. Their win probably had a lot to do with that fact that it was the most recent entrant.

I agree. I think the best bit of that whole week was our boys episode and the lake scene. The rest of it was surpassed by other nominations.

I’d love to see Iain’s face, his jaw is probably dragging on the floor by now with the lack of wins for his scenes this year so far.
Feel really sorry for the cast, but I really feel they won’t win Best Soap this year. Will probably be wrong.

I found it interesting that whenever Corrie cast got on stage they mentioned KO and how it was a shame she was leaving - didn’t hear the same about IM in the brief appearances that ED cast made.
The new producers will hopefully repair and rebuild a lot of the damage and casting mistakes that have been made and will give the Viewers the Wedding we should have had originally.:heart:

Ryan just being professional as usual in that iv but seems absolutely clear that there will be a wedding this year unless ed really don't care about their viewers at all :eek:
thing is I think robron really deserve a happy proper wedding :wub:
I know its soap so there can be little dramas like have they lost the rings but find them at the last minute :rotfl: however I just don't think its on to have a second wedding ruined by maybe Lachlan trying to kill Robert or otherwise messing it up :mad:
I also think we don't need the wedding to happen for a reason like maybe Robert is very ill after an attack :(
why not they just decide they love each other so much and want to get married in a happy way :love: hopefully that is how it will happen

I have heard something similar to this before. That Lachlan will play a part in the Robron wedding or that something that he does earlier on plays a role. I think Ryan knows for sure and just dropped his guard for a moment and made that comment.

So IM has managed to have just about every couple in the Village cheat (Doug & Brenda) in his time at Emmerdale. What an achievement to be remembered for!:hmm:

ED+IM needs to really think what they doing and why they didnt win best soap award over the w/e stupid s/`l`s and cheatdale get a grip or you will lose viewers and ITV wont like that
We don’t want Lachlan to kill off any member of Roblivion, there’s plenty of other ‘useless and unnecessary’ characters he could target instead.

Hopefully, the end of the constant cheating is in sight now, mainly as there’s hardly any couples left, unless Bob cheats on Laurel and after all he’s had about 7 wives so it wouldn't be a surprise.
It surely must have been noticed by ITV, the number of negative media comments about Emmerdale storylines, not just from a Robron fans, there has been during IM’s time there and they wouldn’t want that to continue. It’s a shame that ED went from winning so many awards last year to getting nothing hardly this year. That is not the casts fault as they make a brilliant job with some of the rubbish they’ve been given to do. Hopefully the quality of the storylining will improve and they’ll head back up the popularity ladder where the cast deserve to be. 👍

Morning Don well said i think we could get a second wedding propsal from either one Of Robron yeah and this wedding is defo happening and i think going by what our Maxine said when the new prodcuers was anouced she was excited and going by that looks like we might have respite and i wonder when IM left he gave Maxine the eps when Robron gets married but hold in there we will get some lovely scenes over the next few im sure and im Sure ED+IM will give us fans something back to keep us fans onside

That was unbelievable. How could the writers forget what part Joe played in getting Liv imprisoned? And I use the word 'forget' deliberately because I'm nearly certain that is the case.

Apart from the Ryan & Charity scenes and the very brief Robron & Liv scenes I thought the rest of that did not deserve an hour episode. Too much PD & Debbiedale. :nono:

I'm not happy at how little Robron content we had tonight compared to all that Debbie/Ross nonsense. However, the Charity story line saved the double episode for me.

I did laugh at Aaron calling Robert 'tubby' for wanting one of the doughnuts. I also adored the Doug/Liv hug.

That was funny. It is a shame though that the only thing we can remark about Robert from this episode is his liking for doughnuts. That hug was very touching, it’s a shame Diane wasn’t a bit more demonstrative too.

I don’t know about other parts of the country but up here in the North unless it’s a Private Family Only funeral, anyone can attend without an invitation.

I totally agree with you. ED do have a habit lately of bringing in big issues/serious subject storylines and then after the first reveal of them they aren’t followed through completely. Something such as trans is literally a life changing subject and needs to be handled with the respect that it deserves for those involved.

Emmerdale tick another politically correct box ... boldly promoting diversity in their characters and their story lines. Nothing wrong with that. I just hope that they do a transgender character, and the issues that they will face and which Emmerdale will exploit, a lot more justice than they did to the acid attack character and their issues, the bisexual character and their issues, the gay couple and their problems, the merntally ill characters and their issues, drug abusers and their issues, and so on and so forth.

Hi - yeah a lot of Vera done just down the road from me. They get the accent right as well. I’ve thought that about ITV3 that it’s a shame that they don’t do Classic episodes of ED - it would let people see what the original characters and storylines were like.:thumbsup:

What was the point of that PD scene - it wasn’t essential to the plot, they really are just making her into a standing joke now, there’s nothing else they can find for her to do. I still think it’s ridiculous that she has such problems with remembering things and yet working behind a bar is thought to be a good idea.
Don’t like that Charity drunken phone call to Ryan - very insensitive for somebody with the condition that he has - do not think there was any need for something like that to be included in the storyline.
Lovely scenes with Aaron & Liv - it is a shame, as Matty said earlier on here, that Robert wasn’t there to help with Livs maths homework or even warranted a mention that he’d help. No reference at all as to where he was today.

No explanation at all as to why Robert wasn’t at the funeral of someone who lived in his home.

Nice weekend even though it was wet. Hope you had a good time.
It was a pretty boring episode. Would be nice to think there would be something. Only got the two of them on Wednesday. Unless Robert puts in an unexpected appearance on the days we know that Aaron is on. We can but hope.:heart:
Tonight was a bit a bore, once again. Something that has become quite common in revent weeks. Take the Doug story and it's endless twists, there would be nothing wronbg with that as a background story line which is featured for a few minutes over a week. But, Doug is not popular enough to dominate an episode with his stuff and nonsense, no matter what story is given.
Get lost Laurel. IM has ruined one of my favourite characters for yet another of his cheating story lines. Can't stand her anymore.
So a young man who killed an innocent person with a heavy boulder just stands there and says nothing while a older man gets arrested by the police for bending a windscreen wiper. This story just gets worse.:wall:

Hi Matty - yeah seeing them on Wed will be an extra bonus I thought we wouldn’t see them at all this week and thought the no scenes would be from now on for the next few weeks. There has to be a build up to the Wedding this time not just talked about for a couple of days and then it happening, we need to see them organising it properly. ❤️

Hi Matty - I know it would be so easy to just put a short piece in to give an idea where Robert was and it would help cut down the media queries as to why he’s not around when Liv & Aaron are seen out and about. He doesn’t have to be with them every minute but it would just be natural and realistic that he would at least warrant a mention. Liv isn’t go to let it rest about Lachlan and I do this the phone message will be part of it - maybe Liv finds it on the laptop and also I think the comic book drawings will reappear somewhere too. I really hope they don’t have something happen to Robert that involves Lachlan on the wedding day. I don’t think Lachlan would hurt Belle but he’s already going to do something to someone involved with her because she’s thinking about moving away. We’ve got all of them tonight but unfortunately after that we won’t for a few weeks - can’t wait for when they are all back together.

That’s right it isn’t, it’s just I don’t feel it’s something they should be making part of the storyline - especially as this is the second time they have done this in a short space of time and no justice has been done.

I think that the actor playing Graham is very good. I hope he's given some decent stories of his own. The one with Frank/Megan is just rubbish, more 'affair' nonsence.
Some lovely family and couple scenes there with Robron & Roblivion. It’s such a shame that Aaron & Liv are going to be away and yet Robert is still going to be in the Village and we aren’t actually going to see him for a few weeks. It doesn’t take a Mastermind to know what Robron were going to get up to when they rushed away home there knowing that Liv was going to be out for a while. Liv wondering about Gerry's laptop is very interesting. She's on the right track and is unlikely to stop just because she is going away for a few weeks. IMO it's now only a matter of time before Roblivion are thrown up against Lachlan. Perhaps for Lachlan's final battle. :)

I think that Aaron was sent away so that he is not in the village to support Chas and Paddy in their baby story. Robert remaining is a puzzle to me because Ryan Hawley was on holiday and unavailable for even longer than Danny Miller.

We’ll be lucky if there’s even a mention of Robert over the next few weeks as his immediate family don’t seem to be bothered if he exists or not some of the time and to be honest I’d rather not hear a certain blond person mention him if we can help it. So I’d rather just imagine him working hard and having quiet nights in looking after Seb and missing the family members that do love and care about him.:heart:

Evening - just caught up with tonight’s double bill. Really liked the Chas & Paddy scenes. Very emotionally acted and so sad.
Liked the way Ross spoke to Sarah but I’m sorry I can’t feel sorry for Debbie after the way she has treated people and now Sarah is turning against her she starts the waterworks - again.
Bob getting angry at Brenda ‘chatting up Rishi’ is a bit much - kettle and frying pan comes to mind. I’m I the only one that got the feeling tonight that Laurel isn’t feeling the love so much now for Bob as he is for her, the novelty seems to have worn off a bit. It’s getting even more boring now and Bob is just really getting on my nerves.
Missing the boys already and there’s a long way to go yet.:(
It's been a long and miserable week, and we still have Friday to go. I've nothing against Emmerdale wanting to tell a few solemn and angsty stories. But, it's too much when an episode has no light in it. It's boring and tiresome to deal with after a day's work, especially when there's been nothing else all week. Some light relief is always welcome.
The Bob/Brenda/Laurel stuff goes from bad to even worse. What's the betting that Laurel ends up kicking Bob out?
Anyone feeling sorry for Debbie? Are we supposed to be feeling sorry for her? Emmerdale can forget it! She needs proper legal punishment for what she did. In other words a prison sentence. Anything else will send out a terrible message to those that have suffered from acid attacks.
I wish IM had not run with this story given that he had no intention of dealing with it properly.

Sorry but I have no sympathy for Debbie at all, when you think of all the things she has done wrong and has never been seen to receive justice for them.
All the serious subject matters that IM has covered has ended up being forgotten and just used as a plot device to something that is often completely unrelated which is disrespectful to the people who have really gone through these issues. I do wonder what will happen with the Chas baby storyline, I do hope it is treated with a believable outcome.

In a way I hope I am, when you consider how upset Liv was when she was getting texts from Noah I don’t think it’s a good thing for her to be doing, but then again if she does ir’s another rinse and repeat that hasn’t been thought about completely.
Am I an awful person? Why I asked that question was because I have absolutely no idea what PD said during that scene in the Cafe as I now just completely zone out when she makes an appearance.:rolleyes:

Been busy all day I’ve got a family friend staying from down South so been out and about.

My niece's wedding day went really well, a lovely time was had by all. She looked gorgeous. :) The weather was dry but rather dull in the morning before the Church, then it brightened up with lots of gorgeous sunshine mid-afternoon onwards. Great to see so many family and friends in one go, very convenient for someone like me who is usually not very socialble. I even managed to make up with an uncle and some cousins that I had sort of fallen out with.
The wedding reception was held at a hotel in London's Bond Street, lovely main courses (roast salmon, lamb 'kleftiko' or some vegetarian nonsence), lots of desserts, traditional Greek wedding cookies gifted to all guests upon departure and so on. A small live band added a lot to the occasion. A very long day, I'm exhausted.

I think the new bosses have a huge opportunity to make something even more special of Robron, they are a popular same sex couple. They have complex stories and complex things surrounding them - Robert's son/Liv/Work/PD/The Mill/Chas/Paddy - months of excellent material just there, then the wedding promise. They also have not tackled homophobia, discrimination, surrogacy.
Robron are an ordinary couple, two guys who are straight acting (please don't shoot me for that one), regular guys who are head over heals in love with each other, they want to be together and have a life together. I don't mind so much about the romance, but I have noticed what people are saying & all the complaints. I think the "straight acting" is a problem unfortunately. I think it's the bad writing.
The actors have been given mixed messages. Like being told their best mates who happen to be together. They've probably taken that on board and it's reflected in the acting, but it's not their fault.
For me I just want an interesting story for them. Even if they argue I don't mind at this point.

Do you mean your post about Amelia? Once again, I have no idea. There are very few firm clues/spoilers about this. I have seen gossip and rumours that perhaps it has something to do with Shawn, her older brother.
As for Robert, my guess is that he will propose when Aaron returns with Liv, having missed him whilst he was away from Emmerdale.

Good morning everyone. :)
My niece's wedding day went really well, a lovely time was had by all. She looked gorgeous. :) The weather was dry but rather dull in the morning before the Church, then it brightened up with lots of gorgeous sunshine mid-afternoon onwards. Great to see so many family and friends in one go, very convenient for someone like me who is usually not very socialble. I even managed to make up with an uncle and some cousins that I had sort of fallen out with.
The wedding reception was held at a hotel in London's Bond Street, lovely main courses (roast salmon, lamb 'kleftiko' or some vegetarian nonsence), lots of desserts, traditional Greek wedding cookies gifted to all guests upon departure and so on. A small live band added a lot to the occasion. A very long day, I'm exhausted.

sounds like you had a lovely day :D weddings are always great when family get together from far and wide and people can put aside little fall outs that they have and sometimes forgotton what it was all about in the beginning anyway :angel:
those cookies sounded interesting cos sweet things usually do for me :rolleyes: so I looked them up and they sound yummy :p

I think the new bosses have a huge opportunity to make something even more special of Robron, they are a popular same sex couple. They have complex stories and complex things surrounding them - Robert's son/Liv/Work/PD/The Mill/Chas/Paddy - months of excellent material just there, then the wedding promise. They also have not tackled homophobia, discrimination, surrogacy.
Robron are an ordinary couple, two guys who are straight acting (please don't shoot me for that one), regular guys who are head over heals in love with each other, they want to be together and have a life together. I think ko really did care about robron but mista iain thought it wasn't his sl so never really bothered and used them for his pet character even when she was unpopular from the start and only had anything nice like the 'wedding' as part of pushing her

Emmerdale was so heavy and very sad last night. A little too heavy for my liking. I'm hoping that the new producer will balance out the story lines in a better way. We need some lighter stuff but it must be well done, proper comedy. Jimmy taking his trousers off for the millionth time is not funny.

Hope everyone is well. I’ve been out of the ED loop a bit this week and have just kind of caught up on the two eps and have to be honest that I’ve probably missed something important as I wasn’t really paying attention as I found most of it pretty boring. I’m sure if there’s anything I should have taken notice of you lovely people on here will make sure I’m up to date.
