The Taylor scenes were so well played and upsetting. I may be a loan voice but I am glad Jane didn't die. It is going to be intetesting to see where the Max storyline goes.

I loved Kim in the Vic when she was trying to pull everyone together, it had a very strong message about the city and i am sure every Londonder would have agreed with her.

As Max was lurking looking through the door at Jane going in, I was shouting "Don't let him in there" .. He's going to have to finish the job.
Maybe he'll get caught and get sent down for something he actually did.

yes he is going to want her really dead think this all part of max exit

I think he should be let off as he has already served time for something he didn't do. They cancel each other out. Or the police inspector might say, "Poor Max, he's been through enough already."

I enjoyed the episode apart from the end, but EE don't do stunts but there will be further blasts this week.

The sceens with Max and Jane were excellent and I cheered when Billy thumped Phil. I agree Linda must be wearing the wheels of her suitcase out with all the comings and goings. Abi is a delicious cow, rotten to the core.

Some of the comments on social media and another forum we won't mention were moaning about the stunt. Sadly much of the soap audience of today (who are a little bit wanting) expect big budget style stunts and are disappointed when they don't get them. This is the BBC and Elstree and not 20th Century Fox and Hollywood. (Rolls eyes and tuts)

Silly Billy hitting Phil was ridiculous

He's scary! (What's the quote about the biggest villain ever?)

The whole property development storyline is going to melt into a puddle of something smelly soon I hope too.

I thought the ending was a little bit of an anti climax. This may be how they are reducing Davood's involvemnt with the show while he does Strictly.

Really disliking Lynda right now... she is just one walking judgemental she bitch... she abandoned her whole family for 9 months and suddenly wants justive for them, forget the police shes going to get it yelling and screaming the odds while dragging an old lady down the road.

Winston .... still missing in action.

Bloke in my block had one of those inbuilt defibrillator things, lovely but strange guy, he refused to get a land line installed which was needed to monitor him 24/7. But he was of the type who refused to have even a TV or Radio, instead spent his energy moaning about others having a tv and radio he could hear in his flat... but he did have a mobile and at least twice he rang me up to tell me his defib thing had launched him across the room when it restarted his heart .. it wasnt me he should of been calling it was 999.

Even in soaps medical professionals are treated like scum add to that in real life they are paid a pittance n wonder no one wants to be one, the take away those coming into the country to do it as they will be booted out again in 2 to 5 years time.. queue no nurses or doctors .. hence why they are making those they have got got work all the hours under the sun.

Maggie Steed really impressed me tonight and was the stand out performance for me. I am biased because I do like the actress. Maggie was in one of my all time favourite detective shows, "pie in the sky" which also starred a very young Samantha Womack (Janus) as she was then.

I liked the scenes with Dot and Joyce in the minute mart. Also liked the Sharon and Michelle scenes on dating, highly amusing Ben giving tips to Michelle on this. These are the normal everyday scenes Coronation Street need to be doing and EastEnders are doing very well.

I wonder if Ben and Luke are going have a fling/thing? A sparkle there? Adam Astill is excellent in the role of Luke but he was very good in Holby and more recently Doctors.

Lovely tender scenens with Berndette and Karen. I wish Stacey had smacked Carmel, I will do it for her. The scene with Kush, Stacey and Martin were very powerful, all gave tip top performances, but for me Martin - James Bye was the stand out star.

Ah yes he was also the barman in Coupling.

Could they please just section Stacy now and save us all a boring bout of deja vous.

Cloisters. One of the most expensive places to stay in Europe all to give the link a Diana P of W basis, its not even ski season and cant see either going on mountain walk or bike.

Maybe Max does know about James and Cathy, he is not adverse to murdering a woman so why would he care. Then he was the one who killed Steven, he shoved him into the counter causing the liver bleed.

But can Max please acciidentally do away with Woody, be fitting if he was lumped over the head by Blues greatest hits, mind you that would be a very small lump.

29-09-2017, 00:37
Does Bernadette want to get pregnant again? I want to smack Carmel in the face, even though she didn't do anything, its just the look she gives.

So EastEnders is following in Emmerdale's footsteps and having a lady Dawn French Vicar. I had to smile at Joyce's Victoria Sponge, Dot being out sponged there me thinks. kim was funny with her 'combine harvest' line.

Lacey Turner and James Bye put in another great performance, your heart goes out to Martin and more natural (normal) scenes with Sharon and Michelle and nice nods back to their past with poodle perms and the mention of Kelvin.

There is a spark between Ben and Luke. It will be interesting to see how that one plays out. So Phil has tunred out to be a bit of a Johnny Craddock in the Kitchen. John and Gregg would be impressed. Poor Michelle, a creepy Duff Duff. The ending was almost a gasp, he's behind you. :(

Splashy

I would swear that he died because of a fire he started himself

Ultimately you are correct he did die as a result of his murderous intent, but the family relations officer in the pub told them he died of a bleed on his liver or kidney or swim bladder not sure now, but not from burns or smoke inhalation. In the scene in the kitchen Max shoved him hard into a kitchen unit of some type causing the mortal damage to him. He then ran out and was treated for smoke inhallation.

James attacked another women, I didnt remember that! He really is a twisted fish then coming back to do more evil.

parkerman
01-10-2017, 10:59
OK, so here's my latest thoughts on the matter.....

Max was sent down. Ian and Jane lied, along with half the Square, who all knew the truth about who killed Lucy. In spite of knowing the truth, they allow Max go to prison for what could have been a very long time. As it was he was in prison for a year.

When the truth about Ian and Jane comes out, the police do nothing about it, with the ridiculous cop out line that "the Beales have already suffered enough." Plus one of the police involved actively connived in getting Max sent down and keeping him there, even though he was told the truth.

No justice and no-one to turn to for Max. So he seeks his own revenge. Normally you would tell people not to take the law into your own hands but to rely on the police and the good old British justice system, but as we've already seen that didn't work and Max had nowhere to turn and, as he saw it, no alternative but to take the law into his own hands.

Now this is a big problem for the Eastenders producers as many people sympathise with Max and want something done to make Ian and Jane face justice. But Eastenders don't want to lose Ian and Jane, certainly not Ian, who has been there since day one. So they make Max into a villain who is not only out for revenge by various nefarious means on the Beales but everybody else it seems, though most of those also knew that Max was innocent. But even making Max into a bigger villain than Gavin doesn't stop people having some sympathy with him still and wanting to see him succeed. So, for EE, one last throw of the dice thought up in one of their weekly conferences. They bring back a real villain who absolutely nobody likes and everyone has utter contempt for - James Wilmott-Brown - to be part of Max's revenge plan in an attempt to finish off sympathy for Max once and for all so the Beales can live happily ever after, while Max is seen as the baddie after all. So, by the greatest of coincidences, Max just happens to share a cell with Willmott-Brown's son, Luke. And the scene is set for the return of a character 25 years after his last appearance, who would, under normal circumstances, have never been revived.

Karmels going to just report her to social services then sue for custody I bet.

But I feel that needs to be done, Stacy does need help and we saw how rough she was with Lilly.

But if I was Karmel I would do it on the quiet anonymously, but she wont and Kush and her will be cut out in a shot.

Max could have had massive compo considering the circumstances. Did he ever bother to claim.?

Lacey Turner has shown us why she is so good. She can deliver at the drop of a hat. Carmel you are in deep doo doo.

I do like Ted and Joyce, I hope they stop in the square. Sharon was the star of the episode for me, I cheered when she blew the whistle down the phone. I do like the scenes with her and Michelle.

I do like Ted and Joyce, they remind me of the old East End. They are always eating, but everytime they are having their tea I just want to pop round and join them. That mash looked tasty.

That doesn't stop Corrie doing far worse.

Indeed.

Cutting his ear off might make him think about what he's done. :)

Im still confused as to who Maxs cell mate was? or is or is now?

Fe .. Mr Brown pretty much has mentally tortured her it seems, hope she gets the dangling sphericals to kick him down in the end.

I definitely suspect it's a big, fat lie. When Kathy retold the events of that night step by step, she built up a picture of a calculating manipulator who would say anything to get what he wanted. You only have to see the way he controls his family to see that. Really creepy guy. :thumbsdow

Just watched Thursdays episode, Gillian was very good. I smell trouble ahead for Billy, what an idiot.

I liked the scenes with Michelle, Sharon, Karen and Denise. And a good ending with Phil wanting to get revenge of Wilmott-Brown.

Alas I hear Mick is selling him off for spare parts to save the Pub, because as he said "he needs five bags"

Bless poor innocent Ben needs to be protected from the truth, he may of maimed his school boy mate, killed a women with a picture frame stole his dead cousins belongings while she lay on a common but this would destroy the little mite.

The community came together when they heard about their local. In the real world would they really care? how many folk go down the pub these days? If it was turned into flats, so be it. Shame they won't be social housing. If people want a drink or 3, they can go to the minute mart and get it half the price. But this isn't the real world this is Walford. :D

Well said... our politicians have killed off the local pubs with their massive taxes on booze and music, then they let the supermarkets flood us with cheapo plonk we take home and consume alone while playing online bingo. Oh but the politicians get to keep their pubs inside Westminster while they them (allegedly) mess with their staff.

My local became a rubbish house, no more darts team or pool team for me, I suppose I could go to Coasta and just while away the day making up names to put on my coffee cup while I play online bingo.

Bex is/was obsessed with the fella, she was never going to stop, she couldn't care less about what he wanted, she was going to have him or destroy him if she couldn't.

He made all the wrong choices and played into her adolescent hands, the kiss was excusable because he was hurt/dazed and Bex was the one that lunged in while she was treating his cuts.

His major mistake was then courting Sonja, well on so many levels :ninja:
