Some great one liners tonight:-
Shirley: "Barking Up Ginger Nuts' Tree"
Suki: "If a cat has nine lives, that rat has 10."
Ash: "I'm a doctor, you're a shopkeeper"
And i just howled at Tiffany with Mo and Jean.
A better script tonight. I cheered when Shirley beat up Katy, boy did she have it coming. The only scenes dragging the show down are the ludicrous Sharon scenes in the Vic and Sharon's line to dotty "Get out of my pub" was woeful.
You would never know there is a pandemic on in Walford. Dotty throwing a party. Completely irresponsible and ridiculous! It is hard enough getting some of the morons in this country to follow the rules without this.

If we're going for blame Ian locked him in because of the way he was treating Bobby, and when the boat crashed DUE to Phil mucking about with a gun he was instantly below decks trying to free him. Though Sharon of course will never dare to consider that Denny was not a perfect example of a human being.

Also, with the crack about Sharon getting Ians money and businesses, I wonder if its entered Kathy's mind, that although she threw Ian out the house, if I remember right, the house is technically Ian's, and I can bet that Sharon would be quick enough to take possession.

Although they have changed the character of Chelsea to suit the storyline, Zaraah Abrahams is pretty decent in the role, quite interesting seeing her in The Bay with a northern accent.

The ideal outcome would be that Ian was found not to be mentally competent when he made that statement that he Vic was to go to Sharon, and then that could be nullified. Sharon really and always has been a self entitled git. She like playing the would be gangsters moll with Phil for long enough.
Also, to state that the Vic belongs to Sharon is rubbish, since the show started there have been a fair number of owners/landlords. Apart from Den and Angie I can remember Kat and Alfie, Eddie Royle, the Carters, Grant and Phil (owners not landlords due to records), Peggy Mitchell and I'm sure there's been a fair few others.

Well, who would have thought it, EE going to deal with a very distressing storyline that actually affects a lot of people? They did it in the past with Stacey's bipolar. I don't know about bipolar but Schizophrenia is very serious to the point of murder can be involved.
Case of how far ee are prepared to take it, on a scale of mental health this must surely be one of the most heartbreaking to have close to you

Nobody can do trollops like EE, the other soaps don't come close. Loved the beginning of the episode with Kat and Phil, even the make up and lippy was spot on. Could you imagine a scene like that in Corrie? :D I think some of the viewers might hyperventilate and keel over.

I for one am grateful there is generally no mention of covid or any masks to be seen, nice to have a break from all that.
Also would be difficult for them to keep up with frequently changing rules regarding lockdowns etc being filmed weeks in advance.

Their problem is that they have to keep the pub open, the club open and the cafe open so they just pay lip service
The other soaps have the same difficulty, but nobody in any of the main soaps appears to have caught covid

we have seen some with masks i think and couples families living together are distant in scenes, whitney was going to hug kat the other night but kat stepped away back, max and linda big friendship romance started in lockdown as did honey and jay

They are only distant in scenes because of the rules in the real world. Strangely enough, of course, families who live together could actually be much closer to each other than they are in EE, but because the actors are not really related they have to remain socially distanced, which sometimes makes it look even more nonsensical.

I believe Stacey had literally stopped working on EE and within 2 days she had the baby ( Trilby Fox was a bit early at 6 weeks) Lacey returned to work within days to finish some current scenes,
but is going to be off till August.

Focusing on the positives, the Bobby and Kathy scenes were very good. Clay Milner Russell is a real find and one of the best recasting's in Soap land. I do like the dark side of the Nu Chelsea a real nasty piece of work. Scott Windsor has a permanent sore throat in EE.

No, but Phil's 'advice' was that basically as soon as Kush was inside was to pick someone smaller and weaker (typical Phil cowardice) and beat the crap out of them. That's just an example of Phil being a cowardly would be thug and nothing else.
