No way would that knife have penetrated Sid's shoulder. It looked like Tommy threw the bag at him, and it hit him flat on. The knife seemed to be placed vertically in the bag, so it is unlikely that it would have cut through the bag, which looked to be made from quite substantial canvas, never mind Side's clothes and shoulder. Even though a knife has a pointed blade it needs a force applied to it in order cause damage. I do hope they are not going to have Sid bleed out and be found dead or seriously injured, at most he would have received a small cut, and more likely no injury at all..

Personally I thought the rape scene poorly portrayed. I know in those circumstances people can freeze and be unable to react, but Ben has been portrayed as a gangster, taking part in robberies, running about with guns and beating up people in the streets, so it seemed out of character for him to just lay their and "think of England". I find it hard to believe Lewis could have held him down, Ben is heavier than Lewis. All he had to do was roll off the sofa. I have never really bought into Ben's PTSD story. It seems they change his character to suit the plot.

I doubt Grant would come back, Ross Kemp has built a successful career since he left, he has no need to come back. It is possible he may return for a short time, if the money was good, but it would be better spent on some decent scriptwriters. Although Dayle Hudson has been more wooden than David Hunter it is ironic that his last scenes were very good and his best performance in the role. I do like Bobby but I understand Peter not being able to forgive him, as much as he tries to.

Will we get a Peter return with a new head? As much as I used to like the character I do hope not. It is getting too silly for words. I also do not want Ian to return. So it's Granny Kathy, her bit of fluff Rocky and Bobby at number 45.

It is dire, no effort is made to write stories that make any sense. For a programme that made It's reputation on "gritty realism" it has travelled a long way from any semblance of any realism. Unfortunately it has not quite reached the position of the original Crossroads, that was "so bad it was good".

Grabbing the gun would be OK with his hands tied. Apparently it is quite easy to escape from cable ties, if you know the "tricks". If you raise your hands above your head, then bring them down fast and forcibly while pulling them apart, the tie will snap. You must have the confidence and the courage to do this, if you are hesitant or half hearted they will cut into your wrist and hurt you. There is also a method that you can use your shoes laces to saw through them but this will take a little longer. You can see these methods on You Tube. Whether or not Lewis would know these "tricks" is another matter.
