I presume that it was his flat, very fortunate that he lives nearby. I found it very difficult to believe in this story. Did the Guy think Elaine was a much younger woman, because of the way she dresses, or has he got mummy issues. Personally I think George should have left her a long time ago, even if it means losing the Vic. I have never been invested in their relationship. I much preferred the original Elaine.

Bert and Ernie were not the only ones feeling sick in this episode, I was too. What a cringe fest this was. How could a limo disappear without anyone noticing? And to find an open top bus in a matter of minutes, especially as it was Jean and Billy who were charged with doing it. I do hope the wedding does go ahead, so that we can find out if Joel tricked Tommy into including a lot of toxic nonsense into his speech. How Eastenders won "Soap of the Year" I will never know, can only assume the others were thought to be worse.

Most again Eastenders brings back a character from the past in dramatic circumstances, I wonder if a returning character will ever turn up, and just say, they decided to come home. My problem with returning characters is that my brain does not does not retain their past history and I am struggling to understand what is going on a lot of the time. Like when Zoe said "after everything Sam put me through", I have no idea what she means. I wish they would put more effort into introducing new characters instead of the lazy option to bring back old ones.

I also feel a bit sad for the actors who leave Soap's hoping to move onto bigger and better things, only to be forced to return when it does not work out.

When I said Watford I just meant it was the place that Elaine had lived for a long time and Linda was brought up there. The pub in Marbella was George and Cindy's. As usual they never tell us how much The Vic was sold for, but if I remember right from the Wayland affair, The Vic was freehold, so must have been well in excess of a million pounds, as Sonia's house was worth nearly a million, and it it much bigger than that. With the price of property in East London it would make sense to move somewhere cheaper and have money in the bank.

Ravi said Eve had managed to get back control of their assets from Bernie, and then he said that they would move somewhere bigger. As usual they do not go into financial details, money just seems to appear when needed. I am confused, as I thought Suki controlled everything, or did Nish give everything to Nugget and Avani, in which case is Ravi spending his kids' money? When the Panesars were introduced to us they owned various properties, have these been sold or just forgotten about, like the call centre and pest control business? There is very little that I understand about Eastenders nowadays, including Zoe's story, is she on the run from someone or just saying she is? Considering Sonia'a house was worth nearly a million pounds, I am not sure they could afford to live in the area. Not sure a lot of the characters could afford to live there unless they have controlled rents.

I am finding Zoe a thoroughly unpleasant person, and I have difficulty engaging with this story of her trying to find her son. She talks as if he is still a young child, when he is of an age when he could he ready to leave home. I cannot see any motherly qualities in her. She was angry with Kat for not telling her, she was her mother, yet she does not seem to consider her son may be angry with her for abandoning him. Her efforts to find him I think are more to ease her guilt at leaving him, than to enhance his life in any way. If he has had a happy home life he might want nothing to do with her. We have already seen the chaos that followed Zack revealing he is Barney' dad.

Personally I think Eastenders relies to much on bringing back characters from the past, I have trouble remembering their past history, and new viewers will have no idea of it.

There is a lot of things that happen off screen. I would like to know how Harry ended up chained to a radiator. We see Ravi putting on his gloves next time we see Harry he is chained to a radiator apparently unharmed.

Soaps tend to overdo the dramatics beyond what is realistic and believable. If she had managed to reach her phone and call for help, we would have been deprived of her dramatic entrance and collapse in The Vic.

I do not think we saw Joel smash it, Vicki was not even holding it when he hit her, but somehow it ended up on the floor near her when he left the house. She could not reach it with her right hand, but it looked to be within reach of her left hand.

One thing that Eastenders cannot do is show a convincing car crash. Two women end up in hospital as a result of Nigel's slow motion crash, one who was not even hit by the car. They tried to convince us that Nigel accelerated hard when his foot pressed the accelerator instead of the brake. Yet when he came to a stop Jasmine was lying in front of the car and Gina was just behind it. So obviously the car was not going fast.
