Have we ever seen any visual evidence that the gormless Highway is a police officer. Did he ever go to training school ?

It is pretty rich the way that Stacey and Kat get so enraged at Kush's silly antics when you think of the various things they have done over the time. Especially Stacey both with identity theft and monetary theft.

His inability to communicate does annoy me.
However, we had wonderful scenes in the Highway household. I have loved Tanya Franks since sje was in The Bill but now IO appreciate Ricky Champ as well.

You might think that he's beautiful. I think that he has a very strange shaped head.

I did laugh at Kat wanting Phil to provide the "muscle." What is Kush?
Some splendid acting from Tanya Franks and Ricky Champ. Also a mention for Linda Henry and Danny Dyer.

Does Jay fancy Honey ?
I wondered that a wee while back, not that there's anything wrong with that. Honey is rather sweet, no pun intended and to be honest I don't think he's quite into Lola as much as he was. Alternatively he's being protective towards her.
I'm not sure that's what he wants.

honey is like a mam to him even though their scenes are sweet, really good as both good actors

While I'm here...just another question. Why do people in soaps always hand over large wodges of cash instead of making a bank transfer or writing out a cheque?

Let's face it, did Kat, Stacey and Mo actually do much cleaning, or more moaning and gossiping as well as planning shifty stuff. The only one I could see actually doing the job would be Jean. I certainly wouldn't trust them as far as I could throw them.

It seems to me that tonight's episode was written by the Weatherfield Primary School children on a trip down to London.

While I think the dogpiling on Ian all the time gets ridiculous, (especially when you think some of the crap Max has pulled in his time) regarding the cafe it would depend if he bought it and put it in her name. I suspect this was the case and it would be regarded as a 'gift' to Kathy, therefore hers to do with as she pleases.

He can't go on the run. Kat and the kids need him !!!!!
Why doesn't the demented Detective inspector use a few brain cells.
Kat is his girlfriend
Kat is the cleaner
Kat took phil to the offices to help her.
The night watchman would be able to identify Phil. He needs to have a good chat with the night watchman.
Half remains hopeless and a disgrace. He should not be living with a gang of criminals. If he was serious about being a Police officer he should have asked to go to the other end of London.

You are making the mistake of confusing the Walford police with a normal police force. They have a 35 year history of failing to investigate properly, missing what's under their noses, not following up on leads, arresting and prosecuting the wrong person and generally just doing everything wrong that that could do wrong. Why change now?

I agree with all that. Kat drove everyone to the scene of the crime in her taxi. She left in one of the stolen cars, leaving the taxi at the scene. I want to know what she answered when the police asked her why she left her taxi at the scene of the crime. Halfwit continue to be an idiot.

Thursday episode, there's a room at the Police Station with cameras to monitor everything but it won't be regarded as suspicious that all the cameras have been turned away....
I can kinda see Ian's point to Sharon regarding Phil, since it seems to be the bigger piece of scum you are in Walford the better you get on. Though if he trusts Suki he really is stupid.
On that note though, you have to laugh at Tina going on as though the Vic was a family heirloom. The Carters have been some of the shorter owners in the shows history. Not to mention the outrage about Ian being crooked, practically NO ONE in that show is above reproach. The Mitchells, the Slaters, Suki, Max, the Cottons, etc. They're practically all guilty of something.

Well that would answer Ian's question why Sharon stuck up for Phil. He always seems to be walking around with wads of money in brown envelopes (Phil that is). How a decrepit garage is doing this I don't know.
Also, really I have no sympathy for Kat even trusting Phil to hold up his end.

It's getting worse and worse. Eastenders has just turned into a completely farcical comedy cop caper. Mind you I am looking forward to the Keystone Cops turning up dressed in ill-fitting, unkempt uniforms in their jerky speeded up Tin Lizzie, with about 12 cops hanging on for dear life as they collide with one another around corners or become entangled in clotheslines, ladders, or folding tents while their facial expressions of dour dignity never change.
No, on second thoughts, that would be a far too realistic portrayal for Eastenders. Their cops are much more farcical than that.

I'm not sure I am quite understanding this Mick and the children's home storyline. I mean, I know it is about him being abused by Katy, but what I don't quite understand is the way they seem to be talking about Shirley as his mother and abandoning him. But she was put in the care home as well and Mick didn't know until many years later that she was actually his mother and not his sister.
On another point, why is Max having to move out because Amy needs her own room. I thought all the houses round Albert Square had at least six or seven bedrooms. Space has never been a problem before!
Same I didn?t know whether he was talking about Shirley or not.

This is ridiculous, Sharon is manipulating Ian now. She's made it plain a few times that she's not interested in Ian, but now he's saying that he has to sell the pub, and I can see that he will with the situation that he's in, suddenly "I'll be by your side", what till Phil decides to nod his bald head in her direction again?
And sorry, I just can't buy the Panessars as the Asian Krays, it doesn't seem convincing.
Max also has a cheek with the way he reacted to Jack.
What I did find funny was Rainie and Stuart with Tiffany at the beginning and Stuart's reaction to Rainie being way over the top. He really should have added the line "I'm eating" which might have seemed a bit cliche but would be understandable.

Agreed, this story that Ian 'stole' the pub is complete nonsense. It was sold fair and square.
This happens all the time in EastEnders, someone owns the pub for a time and it's suddenly treated as a long time ancestral home m
Isn't it also funny that Ian can be arrested on one person's say so but the scum Mitchell's constantly get away with everything. And Ben has a bloody cheek 'turn on your own', the Mitchell's do that with Billy, treat him like absolute crap until they want his help then it's "remember you're a Mitchell'

The problem is it is now very difficult to find anyone in Eastenders who either hasn't been convicted of some crime in the past or has recently done something illegal for which they have not yet been caught. There are more criminals and ex-cons living on the Square than there are in the nearest prison.
By my calculation, only Winston has led an entirely blameless life.

Maybe Tracey as well.
Among the regular denizens, it seems to be that in my memory only really Denise and Honey seem to have been fairly decent living.
Lets look at some of the others.
Max, from the moment he appeared in the show, you got the impression from his ex, Tanya, that he had been a serial adulterer with her, in fact his marriage to her was because he was unfaithful god knows how many times to his previous wife and Tanya had been one of his later conquests. Hell, when Abi died he tried to make advances to a grieving Tanya which was pretty low even for him. He's been involved in plenty of shady crap over the years.
Phil. It would be easier to list what he's not been involved in, so that's animal molestation, witchcraft and necromancy I guess. :)
Ben, among all the other shady crap he's been involved in, he murdered Heather.
The Panesars are just here and already we're seeing them get involved, mainly Suki who is a wannabe slum landlord.
The Slaters bar Jean are pretty bad as well. Stacey lately committed fraud to a large degree, a story that seems to have been conveniently dropped, I guess crime does pay. Don't get me started on Mo's various shady deals mainly performed off screen or hinted at.
We have Gray who has committed murder and seemingly got away with it, at least for now.
Callum is involved with the Mitchells and is a crooked cop.
It's telling that in the last few episodes Rainie and Stuart seem closer to normal people than a good chunk of the square. Talking of them that has been some good scenes and dialogue with them recently. Stuart first talking to Tiffany and Keegan shows that he's not some dumb brute and could sense that they weren't entirely sure.

You have to laugh at Phil "He's got a cheek showing his face after grassing us up". First off, Ian has lived on the square far longer than he has and Phil has no right dictating who lives where. Despite what he thinks he's no hard man.

I am disgusted that Linda would go and cheat with Max just because Mick would not have sex with her, she can clearly see he is hurting, conflicted with something but instead of standing by him trying to break down the walls she chooses Max  the hypocrisy she vented at Mick when Whitney kissed him and at Sharon for cheating with Keanu, no more moral high ground and what about her kids especially little Ollie, now would be good time for Lee and Johnny to return

Hardly, if we go by the actors ages, Emma Barton who plays Honey is 43, and Perry Fenwick who plays Billy is 58, Jay played by Jamie Borthwick is 26. I quite enjoyed that 50 minutes, in EastEnders favour out of the big 3 soaps tonight (yes I watched all 3) EastEnders was probably the best of a mediocre bunch. It was a little camp, we knew it was Sharon for sometime, but i did not catch on about Phil. Diane Parish was very good. Is Gray going to kill Tina? i would be more upset if Tina died than Ian.
I know this episode was filmed in September/early October but why are no characters wearing masks. Is Walford in Tier 1?
Will the show rate well, i doubt it, it will probably be around 4.5m if we are lucky, the only good thing is Emmerdale will loose out to the Wheel and the second half of Coronation Street will be dented by Call the Midwife. Christmas Ratings will be low across the board. There is no crowd pleasers like Gavin & Stacey this year. I think this will be the last year EastEnders will have the primetime slot at 9.00 pm.

I enjoyed Mondays episode for all the wrong reasons, this was ridiculous with Tina, it looked like Gray was wrapping a present with Tina's body. Is she dead? on some forums they are saying she may not be dead even through the actress has confirmed this. Is Oates doing a Emmerdale Ross Barton on us? Louisa Bradshaw-White gave one of her best performances.
I was hoping Lucas was going to kill Phil. Who had Lucas beat up? seems to obvious it was Phil, was it Chelsea? She kept going to the loo? The best part of the episode were the Fox-Trumans. That family unit works well and Rudolph Walker is superb. It makes no sense axing the likes of Kush and Tina. I know it is budget cuts but i can think of other characters to axe first. Did Ben and Jordan not have some history and Jordan is a bit naughty too?
I suspect Chelsea is in Cahoots with Jordan, as Lucas killed Jordan's Mum, and of course Chelsea should naturally want payback for her Mum, I know I would, if my DAd hurt my Mum.

Danny Dyer has been very good in the Katy storyline. Ballum have become a bore and as for the Sharon Storyline, Letitia Dean needs a break from the show. Diane Parish and the Fox-Truman's are keeping this soap afloat right now.
