Loved seeing Pam back yesterday, it really showed the softer side of Max Bowden playing Ben.

Unless I missed something, I really hoped that Pam would bump into Billy (or vice versa) and something might come of that.

did she mention visiting honey billy and the kids or did is mis hear
pam was great back but she saw the fake nice ben, no one told her of the ben who tortures martin louise and phil
you would think linda would accept oli's fast assessment for autism, be grateful for her son
karen and tiff were great with princess louise

I remember her saying she was going to see Honey, but I don't remember any mention of the kids or Billy.

I was hoping Keanu would be honest and tell Louise the truth about Sharon, just to see her face that her perfect life and relationship is not, she seem to think she is above everyone especially Keanu's family, he will never match up for her

Loved the Lisa and Mel scenes and the Carter stuff with Ollie was very well done, I have always loved Jean and Shirley's friendship. I feel sorry for Leitita Dean, the way they are dressing and making Sharon look is pretty dreadful, it almost reminds me a little bit of what they did to Bev Callard in Coronation St.
is that it mel dead no truth out, good crash though

Ollie has mild autism but the over reaction by Mick and Linda (who have dealt with Nancy's epilesy and Lee's mental health issues and also their own health issues) is very exaggerated, he is not dying, I know my knowledge of autism is not high but Ollie is not acting out much, avoiding touch, not sleeping, sensory issues etc.,
I felt the show was trying to recreate Steve Owen's death mixed with the Sharongate reveal for Sharon and Mel, Keanu's acting was awful
Jadefalcon
13-11-2019, 19:01
And we're getting comments about Phil, you'd think he was Al Capone or the South American drug cartels the way they talk about him instead of him being an old out of breath ill health guy.

So there you are, imagine you're a lorry driver and you come across three cars littered across the road with one of them on fire.
Do you a) Stop and see what's happened and see if you can help?
b) At least slow down because of all the carnage?
or c) Plough on regardless?
It's obvious, you plough on regardless and run someone over while you're about it!
no one will believe lisa, she is nuts after all and karen big mouth chantelle is going get it
sharon saving mel putting her baby in harm yet mel dies from a lorry who drives straight through a crash the smoke must be heavy he saw nothing, stupid
flappinfanny
15-11-2019, 23:18
A good mix of scenes with Mel and Sharon and then with Linda, Mick and Ollie. I thought Danny Dyer was good.
If they had done the scene with Mel and the Lorry like Rachel in Cold Feet it would have had more impact.
Jadefalcon
16-11-2019, 03:04
I think there was certainly enough 'impact' as it was. :)

I think Mel's whole return has been stupid
Will any of her family return from her funeral, her brother whom was with Kathy or her father I think the name was Geoff
How did the truck keep driving when cars crashed and on fire

Yes, it has brought back horrible memories! Why don't producers and scriptwriters bother to do any research before writing these stories. They just treat the viewers like idiots.

Not such a good episode tonight, it seemed laboured and lacked pace and energy. Although a worthy storyline there was too much of Chantelle and Gray. I thought Denise was very good tonight. It is alright Kathy giving Ben a wallop when will she do the same to Ian?

Arthur is with Kush I think? EE deserve praise for the stop and search storyline with Keegan, they are very brave to do this.
I should have sympathy for Martin but I don't. James Bye is playing a blinder though. Stacey has moved on quickly hasn't she. Max will never learn. The Kathy and Ben scenes were well played.
has kush arthur full time?
stacey moves fast living already with a new man

James is great as Martin and I do have sympathy for him, I think Stacey has treated him badly, he does so much for her and her family, did she or then ever support him and Bex, is Bex in counselling?
If Kush has Arthur, why can Martin not have Hope, Martin should concentrate on all his kids, get himself together

I know I bang on about the fact that EE has absolutely no idea about local elections and how they work all the time, but what Ian did tonight in his campaign is actually illegal. "Treating" as it's called has been illegal since the 19th century.
Hopefully he, Ruby, the producer and the scriptwriters will all be arrested and thrown in prison for a long time!

The Panesar brothers are not doing it for me, I wanted Shirley to punch Jags. They remind me to much of the Ferreira's.
I thought Kellie Bright was excellent, Karen is annoying all the time in every scene, shut up woman! The scenes with Lisa and Sharon were very good and for me the best scene was between Martin and Kush.

Indeed, the Panesars make Phil look convincing as gangsters, that's how bad they are.

Vote For Beale - Keeping It Real. I loved it when Bobby said he could not say that. :) Sadly they are turning Adam Woodyatt into the Simon Gregson of Coronation Street which is a shame because Adam given decent material is okay.
Kellie Bright has been slaying it in recent episodes, superb.
The Honey and Ash scenes were under played beautifully. I hope Honey does not get back with Billy. The Bailey and Gray scenes were nice and finally Ruby and Martin seems so right. Max being cheated on is a nice twist and one I applaud. Martin was always to good for Stacey and is only in this mess because of the Slaters.

Max is a bloody hypocrite....news at ten. He really does have a cheek and it was laughable him trying to threaten Martin
Again, go Honey, that smug, self superior prat deserved what she said.
flappinfanny

Emma Barton as Honey was superb. Shirley was so funny. It was great Ruby was so honest with Max and it was nice Martin had one over Max for a change.
tammyy2j
05-12-2019, 11:19
I am disappointed that Ruby did not even hestiate sleeping with her best friend's husband even if there are separated, her rape ordeal must have made her want to enjoy herself sexually more and Max when being told and confronting Martin was quite good, karma for him
I hate Sharon's fake eye lashes and how is the stress of lying, keeping her baby secret helping her or our the baby and also at her age I would expect her to be monitored often
flappinfanny
05-12-2019, 23:42
The Mick and Mitch scenes were toe curling. Karen and Billy , Honey is better off on her own.
I loved the Ben and Callum scenes. They are so natural. I hope Ben does not give into Shirley, I like Ben on the straight and narrow.
Scene of the night for me was with Mo and Kat watching through the window of E20, gossiping about Sharon and Phil. I loved it when Kat told Mo to shut up and clean her port hole, or words to that effect. :rotfl:

I believe there is a handy little device on mobile phones called texting. So, for example, if your daughter was giving birth and you were trying to phone your wife but she's not answering, you can send a text that says something like, "Lou having baby, get to the hospital!"

Line of the night: Louise "Ben is no help. The last time he saw a woman's bits you probably had a fringe"! :D
Quite a poor episode to end the week. The Carter stuff was ropey. Even Steve McFadden looked bored in his scenes. He probably thought as I did this was pretty poor. I hope it picks up next week.

Why has Bex not been to see Lou in Hospital? Did Bianca know who Leo was? A few holes in tonights episode. I don't feel sorry for Phil, he deserves everything he gets. It is grating on me calling the baby Peggy, a child has a right to have their own name, it seems wrong some how. Nice to see Stuart tonight again after disappearing. The best scenes were with Ben and Callum. A good duff duff, it makes you want to tune in on Thursday. Will Callum come to Whit's rescue?

Sonia got Kush to let him see and spend time with Arthur which was nice and now Sonia loves him again
Don’t think she stopped from before, when he got back with Stacy.
Happened to tune into EastEnders tonight after many years of absence ... what a mistake.... seeing Phil kick somebody in the repair pit of the garage.. pouring petrol on him.. no idea who it is as a lot of new faces there now which I do not recognise .. and a kick to the door opens the garage just like saying "Open Sesame" ... and why do they not get actors that had the crap kicked out of them, especially the face, to speak with difficulty and mumble .. all soaps are guilty of that though .. anyway, maybe I will tune in again in another 4 or 5 years ...

Gavin was not her dad. He was merely her father. Den was her dad.
It annoys me when soaps refer to someone as a dad when the child doesn't even know them.

I have no idea who is phoning Linda. Whitney has got a nerve, why did Lee need to apologise after what she did. I do feel for Whitney, she is her own worst enemy and I know it may be cruel to say but Lee is so much better off without her, Whitney is too damaged. Danny Boy Hatchard as Lee has been good on his return.

Take a bow Kellie Bright, :cheer: it was clever that we did not see Linda being vile to Mick or Sharon. I think from the Duff Duff Keanu will be alive. I watched all three soaps tonight and EE was easily without a shadow of a doubt heads and shoulders above the ITV soaps. It is such a shame ITV decided to clash Coronation Street (which was a damp squib) I hope many catch up on demand, roll on New Years Day.

Linda should explain to Mick. Married couples should not have such secrets and there is no reason why Mick would blab to the Mitchells.

God, the way they talk about the Mitchells you'd think they were talking about the combined strength of the Mafia and the South American drug cartels rather than some jumped up family consisting of a fat, balding out of breath fart who can barely move and a cocky git. Billy doesn't exactly count for much especially considering most of the time they treat him like something they've wiped their feet on.

I hope the Chantelle/Gray storyline does not drag on too long as I keep shouting at the tv for her to speak up, the hospital if it is the same nurse may contact the police about her injuries again or could Ash examine her as her brothers are being used in the storyline too

I liked that episode, a lot going on with plenty of character interaction. Ben is a tart but the "Ballum" scenes are so much more believable than those of "Robron" on Emmerdale, perhaps it is the quality of the acting and because the two actors don't mind kisisng and are not embarrassed doing those scenes?
Sonia is sticking her nip in again. The Honey scenes are very sad and I just love The Carters right now, nice to see Shirley being concerned about Mick, the Carters are on form right now. I do feel a little sorry for Jamie Borthwick who has been reduced to a supporting artist role in the soap.

I'm hoping someone can explain the stolen money storyline to me because I think I must have missed something somewhere.
As far as I recall, Sonia was desperate to raise £10,000 to pay off Martin's road accident victim. She got Dot to give her a signed blank cheque, which presumably she filled in for £10,000 and cashed. Why can't the bank tell from the cheque who cashed it? And why are they referring to it as a "cyber crime"? If Sonia did somehow manage to fleece Dot on line, what was the point of the cheque episode?
I am hoping someone can tell me what happened. Thank you.

I love EE shot at night, it works so well, better than any other soap. The ending was very good, the Linda and Sharon scenes were brilliant. Linda is becoming an iconic EastEnders character.
The only annoying little twerp apart from Ian was Shirley. She has got some neck, get a life Shril, get a life, perhaps Shirley can jump Phil's bones now Sharon is no longer with him. I can't wait for Sharon's revenge. Cometh the Hour, cometh the Watts. Den and Ang would be proud.

sonia wrote the cheque for 8 grand from dot to herself which dot signed, she paid the hospital hit and run fella 2 grand in cash and then the remainder 8 grand from dot's cheque which now i realise i like you have more questions #confused is sonia still pretending to deal with the bank and telling dot it is fraud robbery cyber crime etc.,

Has anyone explained how Leo got into the attic yet or are we just supposed to accept that it's a perfectly ordinary thing to do without any explanation?

I think this storyline has shown how good they are.

Sharon's Beret. She looks like a right tit!

Bobby gets better by the episode, he is so adorable for a Psycho killer. Was Leo going to stab Whitney with the bread knife?
Has Keanu got a sore throat, give the lad a fisherman's friend.
The trailer looks good for next week.

I disagree about Mick. He would be better off without her but he knows that she would not manage alone

Has Phil even contacted Dennis since he left, Dennis is a minor so has to be in someone's care, if not Sharon
I thought the social worker would end up drinking Linda's extra flavoured tea

Danny Walters is still a terrible actor but I like to see Young Mitchell suffer. Keanu needs to get the money and then kill him.
id say keanu was shocked callum was ok with ben having him killed, that he knew
Leo the nutter has mad eyes
is there chemistry between whit and kush?

That hole in the ceiling and that light fitting gives me the creeps, it is like something out of an Agatha Christie.
Can Mick and Linda recover from this? Will the end of next week bring them closer together? My money is still on Bex snuffing it.
The Jean and Daniel scenes were well played and heartfelt. I loved Mo's line to Daniel, "Most men would give their right testicle to be looked after the way Jean is looking after you." :D
I thought Max Bowden was excellent in that episode.

Linda in the Vic was a hand in your mouth moment. I am rooting for Linda. A brilliant piece on the Carters on DS.
The Bobby scenes were a delight to watch and was funny with Dotty. The only down side is Danny Walters who now grunts his lines and is quite a poor actor. Again Max Bowden just lights up the screen, it is nice to see the vulnerable side of Ben.

The scene in the pub was a typical EE crowd scene where the main players wash their dirty linen in public.
Don't those silly girls realise that if they upset Bobby theycould easily finish up dead !!!
Max Bowden does not impress me. It may, of course, be that I loath the character
