More to the point, are we meant to believe that Keanu coudn't flatten Phil if he really wanted to. Phil has never been convincing as the invincible hardman the show creators want him to be, even less so now. Keanu could knock him down no problem.

Philip Mitchell an aging over weight man who is a bit wobbly on his feet, not to mention his liver op, pushing 60, Keanu a 20 something, well built, can handle himself. One punch in Phil's gut and it would be all over! It is a joke that the producers keep pushing Phil as this hard man that nobody can beat or challenge, in the same way the producers in Emmerdale feed all this nonsense that Cain is the hardman and no one can knock him off his perch. At least in Emmerdale we had Graham who could have knocked seven shades out of Cain.
I want to slap Billy. It was highly amusing Bernie giving Ted advise on healthy eating. :D
My advise to Sharon, go for it girl, this could be your last chance.
sharon is a very lucky lady after being lumbered with phil to now get keanu but her seduction gogey eyes facial expressions are very carry on skit

More " fun" than you can shake a stick at ff and Phil's taxi barely off the square.:D

Just caught up with last ep of the week. Sets next week up nicely with the Carters and Stuart.
So Sharon and Keanu finally kiss. I know it will end in tears, but Sharon go for it!
Billy you only have yourself to blame. I like the friendship and scenes between Honey and Kim in the minute mart.
stuart now reminds me of

Was Sharon sneaking out of the house at night leaving the kids alone to have her fun with Keanu?

Believe so , she must be overcome with fun! Be blackmailing material if her little Denny catches 'em .:D
Was Sharon sneaking out of the house at night leaving the kids alone to have her fun with Keanu?
Yes she was. I think Lou was in the house tho. So not completely unattended.
is that the canal den or eddie was killed at?
doubt any carter a killer, linda thinks it mick hence taking the gun
who and where is dylan
I give up, no one switched on a light and it took me ages to realise it was Lynda at one point.
How did Dennie get Stuart back in the pub?
Why did no one call the police?
Personally I think Stuart shot himself. To set the carters up.

I've spoke ill of Sharon in the past, but hell, if she's going to have some fun, go for it, she deserves far better than grumpy Phil, not that there's any other version. I just really wish the writers would get over the idea that Phil is just not convincing.
You want an aging gangster style character done right, look at Brick Top played by John Ford in the film Snatch.

I like the night time episodes and how they film them.
I have not got a clue who shot Stuart. If he did it himself how did the gun get under the bar counter?
Kellie Bright was superb.
I think it will be dragged out until Christmas. :thumbsdow

I think Keanu may have gone to the police? Kellie Bright has been the stand out actor in all of this mullarkey.
I really don't care about Mel, Ray and Munter. Jack you are well rid and you are spot on, Mel is no Ronnie, she does not come close!
The episodes have been good this week, although i prefer to have a range of characters mingling and not just concentrate on one/two story lines. I will be glad when the who shot Stuart story comes to an end. I want my normal mundane EastEnders back with the Carters in the background at the heart of the show but not centre stage.
I also found Karen funny tonight, especially when she found out Ray was a copper.

A good start to the week. I think Whitney shot Stuart. Kellie Bright again was the star of the show for me tonight.

I'm beginning to wonder if that looney tune Stuart somehow shot himself or pre- arranged for Dylan Box to do the deed.
I think he shot himself. There’s no evidence to say the gun, Linda disposed off, Was the one he was shot with.
Personally I think Stuart shot himself. To set the carters up.
yes i think nutter stu shot himself

Funny to hear "Highway to Hell" playing in the Vic Friday night, guessing it was Shirley's choice
what is amy's plan, new evil child demonic joining dotty, bobby and denny
so sharon spent the day cuffed to her bed waiting on keanu

So Stuart has told Halfway it was Mick, no surprise there then? What will Halfway do?
I thought Davood Ghadami was excellent showing Kush's grief and I thought he was spot on. Carmel needs to respect Kush's decision, it is his flat and he needs to grieve.
The Keanu/Sharon scenes were a little gratuitous, although it was nice to see Keanu topless. Love Karen calling her boss "Mr Poppadoddle" :D
tammyy2j
19-09-2018, 22:16
I am glad Bruno's mother was honest with Carmel, she could be a good character if made full time
Hayley's mother reminded me of Heather's mother
I have zero interest in Stuart's lies to get at Mick and I don't care innocent Mick is in prison

So Stu pot shot himself, no surprise there, the truth will come out once Mick - Danny Dyer has done his whatever and comes back after this break from the show. I hope Kate Oates cracks down on this, certain stars like McFadden and Dyer can do pretty much as they please. They need to realise EastEnders is their bread and butter!
The Kush and Carmel scenes were excellent.
Steve McFadden is sure to be away again for panto season after his current break. Some of the top soap stars supposedly getting upwards of £170 grand for these stints ,not bad for about 8 weeks work Perhaps with this time off clause EE can pay less for their tv services. Not sure whether corrie allow the same contract terms. Still annoying midway through a storyline.

The thing is, ballistics can usually tell when someone has turned a gun on themselves. Although that's maybe more the case with a corpse when it comes to powder burns, angle of gun etc. With Stu being alive, the police wont be able to check that.

Davood and Bonnie were excellent again tonight and the actress playing Sophie (Melanie Harris) is amazing.
Hayley's mum is vile. No wonder Hayley turned out like she did. Loved the ding dong with Kat and Bev. Line of the night goes to Bev when talking to Kat and talking about her appearence. "When Girls Aloud took HRT!" :D
Ollie Carter has to be the most adorable soap child.
amazing stacey has kept the same mobile number even when away on the run for killing archie that ruby had her number for what 12 / 13 years and also ruby looks about 14 herself even with all the slap on
sharon never saw ruby in the vic, the daughter of the man who had dennis killed

I wasn't a huge fan of Ruby before, but I didn't realise at first it was the same actress. There's something really fake looking about her, especially her teeth somehow.
And Richie Scott Wonderlawyer/Crooked Lawyer is back....
Is it me or is she what they had in mind when they thought up the phrase "Looks as hard as nails".

Not the best end to a week. I think 4 episodes is too much for this soap, perhaps it needs to be cut down to 3?
What is the point in ruddy Ruby? I wasn't keen on her first time round. :wall:
way too much michael carter in prison
jack still wants mel after she picked ray
keanu and kat have good chemistry, katnu has a nice ring to it

I've just caught up with Monday and Tuesday's. I thought the prison scenes were good, not original but watchable, Danny acted them well.
Sonia not seeing what Bex wants, but her heart is in the right place. Kat is doing well with the knowledge, i could see her being a taxi driver. I actually felt sorry for Hunter. What is Ray hiding?
Called Stuart from the very start of the shooting storyline.

God, the denizens of that prison look like all the worst stereotypes.
About the only one missing is a guy with a swastika tattoed or carved into his forehead.
so was that zara's mother who visited mick and kissed him to pass drugs?
anyone else think maybe mick's roommate would turn out to be the real top dog and all the others his minions but all working for stuart who has a hell of a lot of pull from the outside

What a waste of post it notes. Silly storyline again.
The prison stuff is okay but i hope we don't have weeks of this. How long is Danny Dyer taking a break for? I presume he is going to be on remand for a bit, before it goes to trial, then he will be found innocent and come back to the show? Saying that i have to say Danny is playing a blinder in the prison scenes.
I believe the prison scenes were filmed in one stint a while ago so Danny could take a holiday before he takes on his next project.
Sheanu is getting on my gonads.
The best bit were the scenes with Carmel and Rebecca.

01-10-2018, 23:41
Mel deserves all she gets, Jack was always too good for her, she deserves the likes of Ray and so does her Whiney brat of a son.
Tonight I did enjoy the Sheanu scenes and Letitia played them very well. That cap so suited Keanu.
I love how Tiff and Bernie play their scenes so naturally, Corrie take note!
We can see which way the storyline is going with Linda, will Mick be able to forgive her?
And Munter got the Duff Duff.
I enjoyed the almost normal (ness) of the episode.
so only now sharon realises keanu's age, does it matter both are not bright sparks, have fun

I am beginning to wonder if Ray is now a copper? I wonder where this story is going? Sean Mahon as Ray is very good.
Love Bernadette , Tiffany is an idiot of the highest degree.
Would Stuart have that much clout in the slammer? so there is a 2nd gun? Linda is going to regret not sticking by Mick.
I did LOL at Sharon's line to Keanu "You'll never survive Phil Mitchell" what a fat wobbly blamage. Keanu could knock him into next week with one punch.
Mel is doing my head in. :wall:
I wondered the same about ray. I was supprised he was a cop, being the brother of Ceira and having Adian as a ex brother in law.

If Ray's car has a passenger ejector seat then he's probably 008 Bond, Ray Bond. As a undercover cop ,gets his underage son drunk, knocks seven shades out of the guy that knew him ,hasn't ticked any boxes yet?
Linda suddenly turning against the love of her life Mick ,doesn't ring true particularly with Stuarts history. Set up for Stuarts benefit ?
Do wonder whose side Richie Scott is actually on. I think the one person who could stir things up a bit is absentee Phil Mitchell ,must know of Stuart and certainly some of the prison in-mates.

Yes, I also have the feeling that this public spat between Linda and Mick is some sort of set-up, maybe thought up by Richie as a way of flushing out Stuart....though I'm not sure how. No doubt all will be revealed at Christmas either this year or next or 2020.

I agree. I have had a thought on Linda's u turn over Mick which is so out of character. Is Linda playing Stuart to give him enough rope to hang himself? For it to work she would need everyone to believe she had washed her hands of Mick? When Stuart called Linda L it seemed so creepy.
Ray is a nasty piece of work. I am surprised how good and realistic the Tiff and Jagger scenes are. The actor playing Jagger is very good. Not sure we need another gang/drug storyline mind you.
I love Leitita Dean's dirty laugh, wonderful. Who's phone was it?

Billy is a silly goat and Honey is well rid. I liked Jay into tonight's episode. I hope Kate Oates makes use of his talents more. So Ray has a double life. A good episode and written by no other than Lorraine Newman.
For goodness sake Bernadette cut bullying Tiffany adrift , who for sure will soon be begging for you help when she gets out of her depth with the drug gang.

I'm one of the few that likes Mel, except with how daft she's acted recently. However, with her proposition of marriage and Ray moving in do you think she's testing him to see what his response is?
Surely she can't overlook the 'Simon' coincidence in the hospital and the fact that the other lady said he had wanted her son to be named Ray.

I am hoping Keanu gets Jagger on his own and beats the crap out of him.
Good to see Dot back, she managed to get in one of her quotes " I'm not one to judge". When she meets up with Dr.Legg ,the pair will peg up 183yrs of age between them. Wonder if this is going to be the finale for one or both, hope not.

Jean has worked it out with Alfie and Hayley. I don't know what to think about the Ruby storyline, it is turning into a bit of a mess! What signals is it sending out? The BBC are playing a dangerous game.

I'm sorry, I know there are some "important" storylines going on in Eastenders at the moment but I am finding it increasingly tedious and uninspiring. In fact, I am finding it stultifyingly boring. I can only put this down to the poor and insipid writing. It is just as dull as ditchwater. It is full of cliched conversations with no real spark of life. If it wasn't for Jean trying to make the best of a bad script and Kat showing off her bosoms at every opportunity, I might have given up some time ago.....

Lovely scenes again with Dot and Dr Legg. Poor Dr Legg. :( A shame Sharon misseed Dr Legg, it would have been nice if they had a scene together. I did smile when Dr Legg was saying did Martin have more of a look of Pauline or Arthur.
Martin is torn between his mates and Ruby. We know Ruby has been raped but the way they are playing it, it does make you have some doubts, no wonder Martin is confused.com.
Katie Jarvis playing Hayley was excellent and Jessie Wallace put in a good performance.

I enjoyed the Mariam and Arshad scenes. I thought the Karen and Keanu scenes were well played. Lorraine Stanley and Danny Walters work well together. Good to see they came up with a new idea that has never been used before in Eastenders. I am talking, of course, about the fact there were road works when someone wanted to get somewhere in a hurry. Those imaginative scriptwriters do come up with some novel ideas.

Karen miscalling Sharon as 'Blondezilla' was a bit rich, she's no Kate Moss herself. That is, if the insult was directed at her size of course.
The thing is, Sharon really despite her moans about Phil's ways will never give him up, she seems to like acting like the would be Gangsters moll at times and I think she's too comfortable with the money Phil has. Though god knows how a tatty little garage brings in the money that Phil is constantly waving around.

Nope, but lets face it, most areas aren't short of garages. Even a wee town like the one I live in has a few places that do MOT's and servicing and theres a larger town a few miles down the road that has at least a dozen. It's a thing there's always competition in. Granted, once you find a reliable garage you stick with them, but Phil never actually seems to do much except sit at the desk, gurn, and shout. God knows who'll do the actual work now Keanu is fired.

A slightly better episode, but poorly written, it did not gel very well. Billy is a prized idiot. Jessie Wallace was probably the best thing about the episode tonight. Jean was funny drunk.
As for the Keegan storyline, I can understand what he did, but did we really need this to happen? I think Carmel is doing the right thing and leaving Walford.

After Mondays excellent episode, not the best of episodes tonight, EE is one step forward two steps back.
Always a joy to watch Ann Mitchell. I can't work out Linda, to start with I thought she was playing Stuart? If she isn't this is not Linda, there is no way she would turn on Mick and side with Stuart.
The scenes with Hayley and Kat were watchable, I could not careless about Mel and Ray. They both deserve each other.

Do Jagger and Rainie know each other? from her druggie days?
The scenes with Bev and Hayley although a little repetitive were very well played.

Nice to see Dot and Dr Legg again. Lovely scenes with Dr Legg and Jay. Such a wasted character on EE.

I can’t work out if I enjoyed this or not? It was certainly OTT and over hyped, the acting was very hammy with the Mel/Ray scenes. It reminded me to much of all that Phelan stuff on Corrie. At least Hunter has killed Ray? Well I hope he has. So will we get another body buried in the woods? Will Jack help? Or will it be a secret that is kept between mother and son? Will Ciara come back into the show looking for her brother? Now she is way more menacing than Ray.
The best part of the episode for me was Jessie Wallace. Superb.
When Mel hit ray with the car, I did say, she should go back over him a few times, just to make sure. And that hunter should shoot a few more times, for good measure.

Mo was in the house with Hayley.
Mo was in the house with Hayley.
so mo was babysitting, i would think kat would want to be near her boys worried alfie would take, change his mind

I was hoping Ray was still alive and would be at home waiting for them to return
I do not understand why Mel did not ring the police when she found Hunter

Fridays episode was OTT, but there was some good acting from Tamzin and Charlie.
Jack knows something is cracking off, I wonder if he will come to their rescue. For me Jessie Wallace slayed it again. So good. Glad we are seeing the back of Alfie.

Is Alfie gone for good with Cherry, I cannot believe he left the boys, Tommy does not want to stay with Kat
No follow up with Mel and Hunter, did they just leave?
I prefer Tiffany and Bernadette as friends

Yes, I wonder what happened with Mel and Hunter. The last we saw of either of them it seemed that Hunter had been fooling around with a gun and decided to off himself.
I double checked iplayer that I hadn't missed an episode. I see Danny Dyer is back to his one method of acting, walk around with a wooden expression on his face. Hopefully we'll get rid of Alfie soon, and that bloody ringtone of his is goddamn irritating.

I hope we do not have Evie in the show much longer. I see Rat Boy was the kid from Holby City who is Fletches youngest. I wonder what is wrong with Rainie? Not a brilliant epiosde, but there has been worse. At least there was no forced comedy or slapstick rubbish like the soaps on the other side.
is rainie up duffy by jack another miracle pregnancy
alfie/hayley/kat/cherry is like deja vu merry go round, no movement in the storyline
abi is 1 but her close family miss her birthday

What was all that football coach nonesense. Glad we had Bev come back, I thought to start with she was a nasty piece of work, a good twist at the end, she was actually genuine for once. Sad really. Ashley McGuire is brilliant, I hope we have not seen the end of her. Would Hayley be better off getting away from the Slaters?
st. ber should have knocked evie out

Evie really didn't sound convincing when trying to do the Phil Mitchell school of threatening people.
