I have been finding it really hard to concentrate on recent episodes, there is hardly anything that holds my interest. Todd and Theo, boring, and dragging Gary in does not make it any better. Carla and Lisa at life drawing classes, I could hardly contain my excitement. Betsy putting stuff in David's bin, just so that Carla could find the advert for the class, must surely rate high on Parkerman's coincidence scale. Aadi, don't care, likewise Brody. We all know that Soap weddings never run smoothly, but Dev and Bernie's was one of the worse. George's shirt was the highlight for me, but dating apps, yawn!. I can only hope things improve in the Autumn. Apologies to anyone here have enjoyed these episodes.

I am constantly having to retype my posts because "I do not have permission to post". Meaning I have to refresh the page and lose everyting I have written, anf then rewrite. Does anyone here know how to copy and paste. I can manage to "select all" and copy but that is more by accident than by deliberately intention. But only once have I managed to paste. I get a little blue blob which I can move around and even sometimes two blue blobs, but do not understand their purpose. Is there a hidden menu that controls these things? Also Bold, Italics and underline, as these do not seem to work for me.

OK, I used my right click to highlight your text and pressed copy, I then went to reply with quote and right clicked to paste the text, that is how it works for me. Never seen a blue blob...The Bold function and all the others now available again work fine for me.. I wonder if it would work for you if you deleted SoapBoards from your sites and re-install it, whether that might make a difference??? I am a technophobe and have very limited knowledge of how IT works but I always find that uninstall and re-install apps seems to work for me but that might just be sheer luck ... :D

Not yet, I am a bit reluctant to, as I hate change, and am afraid it might create other different problems with other sites I use. I keep getting messages about an expired or missing token or security token, which seems to suggest the problem lies in the sopboard.

Many, many thanks for telling me this. It also allows me the use Bold as well. I am always puzzled as to how people know this stuff, when nothing seems to came with instructions any more. I did manage to copy and paste by accident once, but could never repeat it. I think I was not holding long enough. I sometimes find that touch screens do not respond to me, I believe I have "Zombie Fingers" which is a real thing, something to do with electrical conductivity of the fingers. Once again thank you very much.

You are very welcome. I'm not an expert, but I have been using a computer since the mid-90s (I'm still learning things) & Google is very good for finding answers to most of my questions. I always access this site (& most other sites on my desktop) because it is just easier to navigate (I prefer a mouse). I do own two tablets, a Samsung & a Fire tablet, but I only use them for two things. Are your hands cold? I have trouble with touch screens when my hands are cold. Also, most tablets have a setting where you can adjust the 'touch' feature (make it more sensitive to your touch).

Why did he just not tell her that. The whole story is rubbish, Tracey blackmailing people with no money. OK, so Carl can get money through Fiona, but I do not think Tracey knows that. Has he been using this money to pay his debts? Instead of paying Tracey he could pay off his debts in Germany. Abi hoping to persuade Tracey not to tell Kevin, good luck with that, we know Tracey is not that benevolent. Trouble with Soaps nowadays is that they make characters so unlikeable is that no one, well maybe just me, care about them and have absolutely no sympathy for them.

I agree, I used to like Abi but this affair has put me off her now. Never liked Tracy, such a shame she broke up with Tommy, hope she finds another rich guy that will take her away from Weatherfield for good.

Another twist to add drama, at the expense of a story making sense. It seems unlikely that Carl really loves Abi or wants to settle down with her in Germany. He might think he does, but would probably soon tire of her now there is no challenge. That being the case why does he need to pay Tracey or work for Fiona. He obviously does not respect Kevin either. Would it have been a better plan if he slept with Tracey and tried to get her to drop the blackmail. His life would be far less complicated if he just moved on.

It is no longer a "sin" to live together, sex before marriage is now normal, one night stands are much more routine, sex is talked about more openly a lot more, homosexuality is no longer a crime. To that extent, Corrie, for once, is reflecting real life and our changing attitudes and culture.

True - I just feel Soaps have become over reliant on it, it fills up time. Almost every story has a sexual element to it. I think it has made them lazy, instead of making more effort to think up more interesting stories. Todd and Theo for example, I found Todd a far better character before Theo turned up, I am pretty sure their relationship will not last, so I just want him gone.

I am finding that when I watch TV it has become essential to switch on Audio Description, otherwise I frequently will not know what is going on. Sometimes Audio description will use a characters name before that character has been introduce in the programme. I always use subtitles now although I can hear what is being said. But I do find that audio description sometimes displays subtitles when nothing has actually been said on screen! As to your question, I can't help. I replayed the ending three times and still couldn't see what that was all about.

Do you mean the cars at the beginning of the episode or the vans at the end. I have rewatched with it switched off and I did not get the impession she thought she was being watched. Maybe I am slow on the uptake, to see the inference. Audio description says Lisa "senses" she is being watched, not that she sees anything. Without audio description I would have no idea why she suddenly looks worried. I am beginning to think programme makers make programmes assuming we keep it switched on all the time, as more and more without it I would clueless as what is going on. Not just Corrie but drama in general.

Sorry, cannot tell you. I am not able to watch a full episode paying attention, I am always a bit distracted by doing Duolingo to learn Spanish or some online work I occasionally get to do. And to be honest ... Carla/Lisa is boring me, Kit and Castello is boring me as so far we really do not have a clue what is going on.. yes, Kit suspects police corruption from what I have read but I have not really have gotten a clue what tf this is about and I also do not care so far..

I can't make any sense of this sudden appearance. Why has Becky now suddenly appeared? Presumably she has been under-cover or in witness protection or something. Is she now out of all that? If she is, why didn't her superiors call in Lisa and Betsy to let them know? Or has she just decided herself to reappear? Roy saw her in the hospital, why was she there? Why had she taken the chance on being seen before going to Lisa? Going back a bit, who identified her body when she was supposedly "dead"? If she was in witness protection or something, wasn't that a bit cruel on Betsy? A lot of questions to be answered. No doubt, the Corrie scriptwriters will cobble something together in their break between lessons.

If she was in witness protection or something, wasn't that a bit cruel on Betsy? A lot of questions to be answered. No doubt, the Corrie scriptwriters will cobble something together in their break between lessons.
Seems to me they have been having too many energy drinks. I find it a bit of a stretch that Roy would later recognize a stranger, he met briefly in the hospital, from a photo he saw the next day. Especially as Becky was wearing a cap and has had her hair cut.

We are watching teenagers in a small village with little escapism... I believe a lot of young people then and now would benefit from what I remember as going to a youth club, you had to be of a certain age (14) but you were in a warm, dry and safe environment .. young people were able to socialise and usually the place was supervised by a youth worker so they had access to a listening ear.. Sadly, costs to keep a place open and employ someone to make sure they were safe and had a listening ear if needed meant closure to all that what was available at that time... Weatherfield.. what does it have to offer to teenagers.. nada.. zilch... I believe that recreational facilities for young people need to be made available with appropriate adults being able to give advice and support.. I like to think that there would be less crime committed .. just my opinion..

The car might not be worth as much as we think, depending if has a high mileage. Who knew Bernie would be such a whizz at manipulating a PowerPoint presentation? In a matter of what, a couple of minutes at most, she managed to create a new well designed slide and insert it into the programme while keeping the title slide on the screen and all in front of people watching. Generally I would say that was abuse, but if the 14 year old girl was a precocious teenager and had seduced an immature 20 something year old man, would it be so clear cut abuse. Of course the man should have known better than to give into temptation, but it could be argued that he was the victim. In Tim's case he has been blissfully ignorant that he was a "victim" of abuse for all these years, I question what benefit it is to him now, if this matter brought into the open and he is told that he was. Perhaps Trisha was immature for her age, as Tim said he made all the moves. So I repeat the question "was Tim abused if he did not know he was abused" Corrie has not given all the details of what actually happened, but legally I suppose it would be considered that he was abused. Of course if Trisha is still seducing school age boys now that would be a different matter. The way she has started to pursue him, I feel there is something that we are not yet aware of, perhaps it is a child?

They are obviously showing how child abuse can have long term effects lasting to much later in life but Tim is quite proud to have had his first sexual experience at 14 with an "older" woman and so far has never shown any indication that he was traumatised but then we would not have seen this being portrayed, I guess. Maybe that is yet to come. Also, abuse victims are not always aware that they were abused. Maybe they are trying to show that abusers can face charges much later in life to encourage victims that do suffer from mental health issues from abuse that happened many years ago..

I agree, it would have happened in the early to mid 80s- but we are just at the start of a storyline so all kind of things will happen that will make it clearer to us :)

And another thing I find irritating about not just Corrie but all soaps, is that events, such as the Mr & Mrs event at the Rovers tonight, are hardly ever advertised in advance. The flyers are given out and posters put up on the day and people are expected to be able to attend without proper notice. I think if we did that at my theatre we'd go out of business pretty quickly!

You mean Betsy"s friends can repost it to their friends, then what is the point of Betsy restricting it to her friends, if they can post it on. I doubt any of them would send it to Costello or the bad people. Incidentally I did not think much of Betsy's designs.

Once it's out there, it's out there! Betsy might not have any friends who Costello knows, but there are friends of friends and then friends of those friends. It just goes on and on.

I do not think assets are no always split 50/50 in a divorce, if Kevin owned the house and garage before marrying Abi she may not be entitled to half. On the other hand Abi has Alfie but he is not Kevin's son.

They have also been married only for a very short time, unless Kevin put Abi's name on the deeds, it is Kevin's house, he has lived there for a long time before he met Abi..

I don't think he works at all. I think he just pretends to work as a scaffolder so he can walk about in a vest. We rarely see him do any work. He does not seem to have a yard to store his scaffold tubes and boards. I do not understand his partnership with Gary, surely Gary does not need a scaffold for every job. I think truth be known he is a secret millionaire who is slumming it.

Not only do I not care about Betsy and her two mothers, but I have completely lost the thread as to what is going on. Why does it seem Betsy is being fitted up for damaging a police car? Did Costello act on his own when Becky was packed off to Spain or was this a legitimate police action? The only ray of hope is that the three of them all go to Spain.

If he worked for a company he would not be in a position he make deals with Gary. From what we have seen he works on his own, but I think he did have a mate when we first met him. Not very realistic portrayal of how a scaffolder works.

Still do not understand why he is fitting up Betsy, this seems to be as a result off the video going on line. But it is involving more people and drawing attention to her. Unless it is to exert pressure on Becky to disappear. I do not mind Betsy so much but the two mothers ........

Not quite sure what you are getting at? Do you mean he was actually older than 16? Because if he was only 14, it doesn't mature how "mature" he was for his age, she still committed a crime.

He said he was 14 at the time, but I do think it was made clear if she knew his age. If they lived near to each other she could have known he was still at school. If she though he was 16, I suppose it could be said she unknowingly committed a crime.

I know when it became public, he was not embarrassed and was bragging he was 14, he seemed rather proud he "bagged" this older woman.
My point was, she may not have known he was 14 and therefore did nothing wrong. I can't remember at any time she mentioned his age?
