Michelle is very annoying isn't she. Tonights CS was a bit hard going, a little boring, having two mediocre episodes in one night is too much for me.
Positives from tonight's helpings, good scenes with Tracey Luv and Steve, also good scenes with Billy, Todd and Summer.
rita forgetting, alzhemiers or dementia storyline?
off to lucy for michelle and robert, good she needs to go, who is lucy?
Fingers crossed , hope this means Rita's leaving corrie, could go and stay with Mavis. As for Michelle and Robert, hope Lucy is a phantom kidnapper, good riddance to the three of 'em.

I think this a ruse re Ritta, I think the story line is going to be very sad as its Rossie with early onset alzhemiers . This week she was unable to remember names for every day items, her sister making a joke about it being that that was the Rossie they know.
Yeah, Micheele, who ever she is with she judges then makes their life hell. Shes a walking bag of misery.
So Chez got 5 grand so how much is Adams cut? Im guessing as it usual for the out of court payment to cover legal cost as well as the lump sum a large bill is coming Roberts way .

Weatherfield and Emmerdale should be listed along with Sodom and Gomorrah, and Fire and Brimstone sent to cleanse them.

IMO the script writers got this so wrong. Mary would never have done that. She is a friend of Erica's and would have spoken to Erica about it first and got her side before going to Dev. Another case of the script writers changing a charcater to suit their storyline.
Simon is locked in a cupboard with all the other Corrie kids. Its like Playschool and what they did with Humpty and Little Ted. :)
I agree .. Mary would confront Erica first, get Erica to fess up and not be a snitch.
Izzie ... going on about surrogacy as a pro .. not mentioning her surrogate wanted to keep the kid and is only out the picture as she be no more. Not to mention she is not with the father any more and took drugs to deal with pain of moving which she needed to do to cope with the baby... oh what happened to that story line by the way is she now magically pain free?
Even after the kid kicked off about the boys going thru her stuff locking her self in the bedroom, the boys where still going thru her stuff and suggesting building a robot.. these geezers are real quick learners:ninja: I vote they build Metal Mickie, hes been missing for while on ITV, maybe they can find him while fishing in the canal one epp.

It was quite fun when it started but I am really getting p**d off with Gemma commenting on everyone and everything. Sorry, not funny any more, just annoying.
Is Corrie any good at the moment? I haven't seen it for months (I gave it up when the Bethany storyline was getting very unpleasant) and am thinking of dipping my toe back in. I've got a couple of months worth recorded but don't know where best to start.

Shame you decided to stop watching .. but I appreciate the storyline was uncomfortable to watch for some viewers, although you don't actually see anything bad happening, it is all in the viewer's minds and you have also missed a lot of caring and nice scenes. Why don't you start watching at the beginning from your recordings and fast forward bits you don't want to see? You want to start watching now if you want to witness the downfall of Emma and possibly Pat Phelan ;)

Hit and Miss, it is an easy watch, but still annoying at times.

CS need taking to task, both Stuart Blackburn and Kate Oates, for wasting the talents of Clair King. No wonder Claire had enough and decided to leave. With such a talent, what they could have done with the character of Erica is nothing short of criminal.

I think this new producer thinks we need story overload. Too much happening at the same time. We used to have one major storyline at a time now it feels like 3 on the go!

Saw that they are introducing more ethnic minority characters. The problem is all the soaps write for them badly as far as i am concerned. I have never been able to relate to any of them and so not that bothered if they had them or not. I rather have good writing. I think the Nazirs have been a disaster except I like Zeedan and his grandma. Dev is a joke. I did not mind Graig Charles character until they brought in his family.

Its a vexing one, but if that was my Nan I would want Gemma gone, she did nothing to help Rita when the louts where going for her in her own home, oh they are my mates wasnt an excuse and Gemma isnt the person now she was when she came into the soap. Gemma storming off to her room was funny, it wont be your room for long Im guessing.
I really was hoping they would give the dementia altzimer role to Rosie not Rita.. the early onset story would of been more interesting on a disposable character like Rosie.

I have no sympathy for Rita at all. I think she's turned into a miserable old woman and I found it shocking that straight away she went accusing Gemma and calling police without thinking that maybe those two girls robbed the shop without her. The first thing she should have done anyway after them two were in the apartment, was to change the code, just in case. And how wasn't there signs of a forced entry? They used a crowbar to get in before turning off the alarm? Again, copying emmerdale with Eric and the shop. Rita could be robbed in every episode and I couldn't care less. She's an awful woman.

Sadly younger early onset alzheimers is a thing... Im not sure how old Rosie is but she must be in her late 20s by now, certainly this awful issue has been documented in those of that age. Yes it is extremely rare and associated with a gene in the family's make up but then so is Huntington disease and Ive lost count how many characters in soap have got that.
Its too easy to give Rita the issue, most older folk suffer memory issues especially when under stress that dosent mean anything more than old age.
No signs of forced entry because the door was unlocked. But then I got confused because I thought they were breaking into the flat not the shop:confused:
I feel in a soap you need stabilising characters, ones you can always recognise while the cast moves in and out around them, Ritta in corrie is one, she glues together story lines while not ending as the end story.. to give her alzheimers is an end game and certain end to her.. give it to Rosie,, lets face it after the Jungle a not too liked actress ATM might up her acting and give her the chance to do other great things once the story line ends..

They had a crowbar and went to use it but found they didn't need to as the door was left unlocked. So there was no forced entry.

A couple of emotional scenes in Corrie tonight, which showed up even more the gulf in the acting ability of Patti Clare and Sam Aston.

Shinade did my ears in, talk about making someones worst day all about herself. The last thing someone in that state of distress is that bed hoping harpy yelling at him. Dump her Chez, boot her out the door of your gaff but shes obviously an individual who will never understand mental health issues and is only back with you because she realised whats his face is capable of killing folk.
I would feel safer in a car driven by the ghost of Smichael than one driven by Irene.

In all the soaps, always seems to take place in a food prep area. Never even put the cream cakes in the fridge ,will have gone off by morning ,what a waste. :(:)
This is worse than in Emerdale explaining to a kid how the man that created you .. yes daddy is now back having sex with a women who came out of the same place you did, in deed had already been in that place before he jumped back up the family tree to create you. So potentialy you could end up being the aunt of you biological half sister or brother !

The only good think about CS right now is the Rita storyline although very sad and the Todd, Billy and Summer scenes which are a delight to watch and saving the show right now. The rapor between Todd and Summer is brilliant.

Corrie is annoying me alot re Rita, senior moments can also be cause by water works issues not straight in dementia etc. Gemma was right to get her to see a doctor and what was it about Gemma asking to set up the appointment was so wrong Liz? Plnty of people call for others to make appointments there are no sensitive faccts involved.

Ok-i've had enough of this Phelan/Andy torture storyline. No change there, just dragging on. Coronation street has become too serious and too violent for me. Absolutely awful. I don't enjoy it anymore so why to watch? Bye.
phelan and andy made very fast recoveries but such a shame phelan storyline isn't going as fast

Having watched it again, I don't think they did get married .. Jenny could not go through with it in the end unless Rita was there so Johnny said if she can't be here we go to her .. would imply to me that they did not actually complete the vows in front of the registrar ....

They turned up at the hotel on motorbikes to get married yes. But they didn't actually go through with the ceremony. They left before it was over and went to the hospital. The marriage there was not legal.

The way I see it, Moira doesn't have any consideration for anyone else, so hence her telling Liz she was moving in, rather than asking her. To prove my point, I noticed Moira then started guzzling Liz's glass of wine.

Watching the lovely tribute to Liz Dawn on the BBC News at Ten made me realise how good she and CS was and how poor it is now. It makes you realise what we are missing. Sad times. :(

Any good bits in tonights double bill? the tribute to Liz Dawn at the end of the first episode. The scenes with Todd and Adam were probably the best bits. The scenes in the Rovers with Sean were excruciating.
The Phelan and Andy scenes are beyond ridiculous now!
I quite enjoyed both epps.
The Andy story is being strung out as long as possible, but I dont blame them for that.
Todds always been evil but he is stupid to align himself to Adam, he could lose everything for what?
Why is Steve bending to whims of the unwanted lodger? Sling her out mate.
I thought Sean would be sacked and it would be a case of Eva destroying both his incomes. Mind Eva dosent seemed concerned that she is involved with the factory heist which the police still dont seem to of investigated her over? Wouldnt be hard to make a very strong case against her leading her to having behind bars time. If her sister sticks up for her then thats a very empty pub she will be running as all will boycott.
