Here's a new thread to talk about your day!
The other thread was pretty big.
:ninja:
Rob has his pruning shears out, lol
Ok, I start this one off then. Internet at home not playing  My IP was taken over by a new company on 1st December, I wonder whether that has anything to do with it although my contract with the previous provider is meant to be honoured for the rest of its term which is September 2010. I was hoping to do a bit more internet shopping for Christmas and a couple of items I am watching on eBay are coming to an end tonight. Hope it is back on when I get home. :(
Quite a good day, on a course all day, half day work tomorrow and finishing work for this year next Wednesday :cheer: Although it does not seem like a year has passed since the last Christmas break

I've been really busy lately. A script I wrote has been chosen to be performed at my university at a 'one acts festival' where people's short plays are performed over two hours. I have to go to auditions later and see what actors are auditioning for parts.
I've had some of my assignments back, got a 2.1 for my first assignment and a 2.2 for my second.
I've just been spending time with my boyfriend too. Our first date was two months on Tuesday.
I hope everyone else is good.
I look forward to visiting home for Christmas and seeing my friends again. I've really missed them and my family but I enjoy it here too. Can't believe it's nearly the end of the year. It's gone so so quickly!
Davey, it is so good to see you back on here, I have really missed you, I am sure loads of others have, too.
Congratulations on your script being performed, well done, and also for doing so well with your assignments :cheer: Glad you have somebody special in your life, he will have made your time away from your family more bearable. :)
Welcome back on here :D
Coming to the end of a very long week :D Election count tomorrow and it should all be over with by 4pm. I've appointed a deputy returning officer so I won't have to make any decision and can observe the count whilst writing an assignment.
Tomorrow night is going to be one heck of a sesh :D
i know what you mean davey, first semester has gone really really quickly, but i am glad it is ending, i am snowed under at the minute, there really goods grades.
Had a great night at the ball, had a hangover that lasted a good 24 hours, it was my lecturers fault when he suggested shots, and he wasnt even hungover in the lecture the next day to which he was very impressed i made it to! Im too old for these big events with lots of alcohol, it was nice to know i werent the only one siffering, its a bit depressing when thats the case.
Did 1900 words my essay today, just need to find a few more criticisms, it all about Hire Purchse, and is very dull indeed, but once its done its done, just over a week till the xmas break.
Less than a weeek till I go home now, I cant wait cos theres a big night out, and I get to see people I havent seen since september

I went out last night with two friends. I don't know how on earth I got into such a state. I've felt so ill all day. Last night I was soooo completely out of character :| it was a good night... but definately not me at all.. haha.
I'm still recovering now. I feel awful lol.
I was suppsoed to go to London today with my Nan and her dinnerlady friends but I justocud not lift my head, but she sort of gathered what mess I'd be in. She came home all excited, it really made me feel better to know she's enjoyed her day. She was explaining how she met one of the lady's sister... who lives in London and knows it liek the back of her hand, so showed them all around Harods and Selfridges, and my Nan was all excited hat she had her lunch in Harods, and that she saw Wayne Sleep in Selfridges (I was so so so so jealous!) I love my Nan :)
Im trying to buy xmas presents on the internet n failing miserably! My mam wants WIll Youngs Greatest Hits and i was thinking of getting her leona Lewis new album as well, but i cant decide and i have no idea about my little sister.
omg, I have so much work to do this week and soooo little time! :(
Thankfully I've completed my assignments this weekend so they can be handed in tomorrow. I misread the instructions on one, thought it had to be in tomorrow but I have until Thursday  It's done now.
I'm going to finish the portfolio due in after Christmas this week then I only have revision for the exam I'm going to fail to do over the holidays.

I have 4 to hand in tomorrow, I regret making that cake now. All nighter... this will be fun. :(
I still don't feel well after Friday night, i'm hoping I'm just coming down with a bug, and that my drink wasn't tampered with... which is what I'm beginning to wonder. Knowing me I'm just coming down with a bug though :)
Im just really stressed at the moment :(
But excited to go home
Me to! First Semester went quick but this last week is dragging like anyting! I just want to go home now, i need a break, third year sucks. I got loads to do as well.
Louise just tryed to phone me well her mum tried, and she want's my mum to phone her but i know for a fact she probably won't and if this is cause of everything that's been happening, there'll be an argument i don't see the point in her getting her mum involved in it all it isn't going to sort the friendship out quicker !!:wall:

What I've learnt over the past few weeks is, some people pretend to be a friend and confidant but really, they're not interested in anyone but themselves. There are unfortunately people out there like that and sometimes we don't realise until it's too late and they've hurt us. But there are people who are true friends and will stand by you when things get tough. They may not be immediately obvious at first, they may stand on the sidelines and observe but they're the ones who will stand up for you when it really matters.
Busy mobilising for the counter demo against the English Defence League in January. People to email, press releases and publicity to organise and term finishes on Friday. If any of you students want to come and support us in Stoke, let your union know and ask them to email us, especially those in the Midlands/Manchester/West Yorkshire/North Wales area. We have people coming from as far as Norwich (about eight hours away). If you need an email address or the name of my university (you probably already know) then PM me.
Just got four tasks out of my portfolio left to do then that's all my work finished. I'll just have revision to do over christmas and I can have a rest. I probably won't have a rest between revision, mobilisation and referendum business but hey, I'll try
My last working day for this year, had my last bellydancing lesson for this year and now I can chill with a nice G&T because I don't have to get up almost in the middle of the night to go to work. :cheer: Christmas party from bellydancing on Friday night and off to UK on Sunday, I am really looking forward to it. :D

Two nosebleeds today, haven't had one in about 10 years! Blood pressures fine. (I'm not a hypochondriac but my mum has an automatic blood pressure thing so might as well :p) Just annoyed because they are so inconvenient and I hope they don't carry on like this! Timing is annoying, we are off tomorrow. Argh 21 hours stuck on a plane! :p See you all when I get back (Might now manage to get online) and have a great Christmas! :D :) xxx
Have a good flight and a fabulous time :)

Have a good holiday Stars. Cupid I hope you've packed your wooly knickers are you will need them it's snowing today. Oh and I have great news. Remember my niece miscarried a couple of months ago, well she's pregnant again. Only 5 weeks but fingers crossed this time.
Good news, Kath, my fingers are crossed :)
Pondered whether to get OH's Christmas gift today or tomorrow, because of the possible snow fall, decided to get it today and wrapped it too instead of waiting until tomorrow. Very good too, he just phoned to say he is working late to finish all he has to do so he can take tomorrow off.
my OH gift just arrive today so that was a stroke of luck as I am finished work tomorrow.. will wrap it tonight so he can't see it..

Happy Birthday to Lettuce (Di M) today :D not seen her around for a while but hope she's had a lovely day! :)
I am so tired. Was up and over my Mums by half 10 this morning as my sister isn't well, took her to the doctors and se has tonsillitus...trying to get an 18 month old to take antibiotics is really not fun! I hate seeing her in pain and discomfort :( so I went to town to gte my Dad's birthday presents for my Mum as April would barely let her move. Went back over to babysit for Mum and Dad to go shopping, and she just fell asleep on me after 20 minutes of crying. I tried to help as much as I could so everything was less stressful, just hope it was good enough. I need my bed now haha, just can't be bothered to move because I'm too comfortable.
I hope April gets well soon, she must be in a lot of pain. It's bad enough when adults and children old enough to understand get it and can't swallow, let alone a baby.
I'm home now :D I love Yorkshire so much, we have snow, black ice, dark days and below freezing day temperatures :p What's not to love about the place?
Probably going shopping tomorrow with my mum to get stuff to make mince pies, rum sauce, cranberry sauce and chestnut stuffing. I'm excited.
My dad has just left Manchester so will be in Bangor in about 2 hours, i stupidly went out last night, feeling slghtly delacate and my room is a state and i have nothing packed! this is going to be eventful. Still not done my christmas shopping, its not good! I'm sure it'll be grand.
It snowed a bit this morning in Bangor whch never usually happens, not really stuck though, im just hoping the roads will be alright to get back home.
I have a mate that attend's Uni in Bangor Katy. & She wanted wayy more snow then what you were getting :p .
I am so tired, have no energy, want to cry an generally bleh. I have to tidy my room before Thursday, and can't be bothered doing it. I nearly ended up having frozen feet last night cause of how cold it was. Although i even want it to snow even more i don't cause i'm heading up the town tomorrow and ill end up landing on my backside or something
I fell on the ice today :( Can't figure out which bit hurts the most but nothing is broken.
Made some mince pies and they're yummy with brandy cream
That's not good hope your feeling better. We have loads of snow in Manchester. Your friends right tannie the snow in bangor was feeble.
I got to finish shopping for Xmas tomorrow.
Its nice being back home, its not strange this time, although in a way its strange cos its like I never left lol!
Ive had sooo much sleep its unbelieveable but its also very nice
I cant wait for xmas now, its going to be really nice this year
Its werid cos Ive done all my xmas shopping and its all wrapped up :D
Know what you mean abbie. Finished my shpping which I'm happy about. Now I can relax and unfortunatkey start some revision.
Going to try and sleep soon cause my shoulders killing me. Don't gave aclue what I done to it.
Yeah.......I really should do some work

Why isn't Christmas over yet? I am so fed up.
Went out for my friends birthday tonight, only to our local but it was a nice night :)
I am fed up with the weather, the snow is ridiculas, are road is just full of cars stranded with people who cant move anywhere, their wheels just spn and they can go sideways but not really up the hill.
Today doing my essay, its rubbish! i still have no idea what the things about. hopefully ill crack on with it and make some progress. Looking forward to chritsmas now though, should be good, just small for us this year, me mam dad and my little sister, then following tuesday going to brum to seee the family.

Not been a bad day, though two of my friends got into a fight last night and one of them had to go to hospital. The police arrived on the scene but I bet they don't do anything about it! My town has got so rough.. that's the second fight my friend has got in in the past six months!
Did the last of my Christmas shopping today - got my mum Robbie Williams' new album as she said she wanted that. We've had snow too and I helped build a snowman with my sister! :D
Missing my boyfriend though.
Missing my boyfriend though.
Don't worry, Kath will help you out with "that stuff" over the holidays ;)

See it's comments like that. That get me into trouble
Its a good job its after 9pm!!!
:p
haha!
I know what you mean Kath about the snow, Its crazy how it can cause so much trouble. I not been out the house, well i walked to the local shop bit thats it cause the buses have stopped or if they havent its taking 2 hours to do a half hour journey! that really didnt amuse me!
Ah well, shoppings all done, foods done, and pretty much sorted for tomorrow now. Im quite excited feel like a kid again.
I made it into work today after being snowed in yesterday. It took me 30 minutes to get out of my drive, though, and I had help!
I brought in homemade shortbread biscuits and ginger wine (like my granny used to make for Ne'er Day).
You wouldn't believe the number of Scottish folk you haven't tasted ginger wine made from Yulade!
Finishing off at 12 noon, I wil lneed to get some food shopping in - nothing done yesterday except baking, lol. The snow was over the top of my wellies!
Ive just had a random thought - we are coming to the end of first full decade Ive lived through
Come January I will have lived in four decades. That makes me feel OLD!
four?? how is that possible
Born in 89. Late 80s, 90s, 00s and 10s

Come January I will have lived in four decades. That makes me feel OLD!
Cheers for that thought Ruddy. I've lived in four decades. Is it time I was taken out and shot. :rotfl:
oh right your classing 10's in it as well
I just meant 2000 -2009 as my first full decade
Since I was born 91 although the the noughties was my first decade to see in, I was present throughout the whole of the 90's :p
I think about things like this too much :p

Welcome back lea!
Had a really nice Xmas day did a lovely walk which I fell on my bum numerous times after skidding on the ice. Park looked lovely though.
Lmao no I haven't changed my number, stalk me allllll the time :p Please.
Leaaa :D I've kinda broke my phone so don't have any numbers any chance of a pm deary :D
Today hasn't been to bad. Went round my aunts for an hour earlier on and that was soo funny! I love spending time with them :D Managed to break both my phone and Ipod no point in taking the Ipod back, cause apple won't repair it cause of the screen it'll be classified as my fault so they won't repair it. But we're going to phone up O2 well my mum is and see if they will take my phone back and repair it. I hope so.
I've been asleep most of the day. Had some wine last night and woke up with a bad migraine. I feel rotten but there's always next year to get drunk.

Hey Lea welcome back. We've missed you. Hope everyone had a great Christmas. I went round to my sisters. My nieces bought a karaoke machine, whiched they hogged all night and got drunk. I got home around 11pm totally shattered spent today just chilling and playing the wii with Marley.
Today i'm going to have a lazy day. Catch up on eastenders, and watch movies. Tonight i'm meeting up with my boyfriend cause he's been up in Aberdeen since Wednesday. Need to tidy my room at some point to, it's a state again, but need to wait for my mum to get up cause she's on night shift tonight so sleeping just now and knowing me i'll make to much noise or my music will be to loud.
I'm going to do some serious revision today, once I get off Soapboards.
I need to do some serious revision, its just not happening. We have more family round for christmas! Its none stop like picadily circus.
I do have 600 words of my essay though. So thats a start. Im liking the new look to the boards.
Got back at midnight last night from UK :( Had a great time and fantastic Christmas :) Started cleaning out a few kitchen cupboards today, a couple more tomorrow, all in preparation for the new year. A tidy lifestyle and all that, start as you mean to carry on although I know my tidiness will not last

I am off to Glasgow tomorrow to do some shoping in Primark.
Im going shopping today too :D
I havent been shopping in a while and im looking forward to the sales....... also must do some work when I get in. I started to watch series 2 of ER and well......I just keep watching it, I cant stop!

I went shopping today too! :) I went to Cardiff with friends, bought some lovely stuff in the sales :) I am skinto now though :( booo nevermind!
Also called in to the little café that my old manager is now manager of, and said hello and had a little catch up with her which was nice :)
I am so tired, the snow is so winding me up, I'm freezing and tired. Early night tonight! :)
Went into town with my best friend earlier on. Nearly fell about 5 times walking to the bus stop =(! Town was busy as per and rather boring what with me having to spend most of my money on my new phone (not that i'm complaning). Came home and was ment to be going to the cinema but Darren's still in glasgow (i knew we probably wouldn't go anyway), so hopefully doing something with him tomorrow. Can't wait till thursday night, going to be sooo drunk so if i do come on here and i happen to misspell words i'm sorry ;). Tonight i'm going to listein to cheesy songs on youtube i haven't heard in years and hopefully finish my Paramore biography and watch a couple of movies cause i know i'm not tired so don't know what time i will drop off at tonight :p
i bruisedmy ribs after i fell on christmas day, they are still sore! Im still trying to write my essay, i have a 1000 words now. Going to finish it tomorrow im determined, it is the worst essay i have ever written.
Just watching telly and having a few drinks with friends and family tonight, bring in the new year like we usually do. Cant really afford to go out.

Marley's laptop packed up at around half 4 this afternoon. Great timing. I think it may be the main battery I pay £7.99 a month to PC world for insurance and stuff so going to take it in on Monday and get them to repair the fault. But I had to dash into Asda to buy a mew keyboard for the PC so we could use the computer. Got to Asda at 5.30pm and they were making annoucements that they were closing at 6pm.
I've got such a sore back, so instead of sitting on my comfy bed, with my laptop on my knee. I am infact sitting on my bedroom floor with my laptop on my knee. Sitting on blankets through so it's not to uncomfy :p. Waiting for Darren to text me so i can see him before he heads down at 10 :(. Want to do something tonight to, but we've have heavy snow and it's covered everything :(. Nobody else will be out either i don't think. I know Alix is going to the pub after work but i don't really want to walk all the way to halbeath on my own :( so think i'm having a night in, unless i can see Darren before he goes.

well. new years day was my birthday, had a lovely day, my grandparents are down from scotland and my uncle and his girlfiend are up from the army, just bought a house down the road from us. But had a crap night last night. Dont really wanna explain it all but this gives you the idea http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/8438296.stm my mums sister. we really weren't close at all but she was still family at the end of the day. luckily as most of the family are here its been easier but my grandparents are really upset. First born daughter and all that.
That's terrible :(. My commiserations to you and your family xxx
Kirsty :]
03-01-2010, 14:38
Oooh Hollie that is so awful, I can't even begin to imagine what your family are going through right now, my thoughts are with you and your family xx
Well, everything goes back to normal tomorrow, back in College and all that. New Year was so amazing, everyone just had a good time, funniest night I've had in a while and the pictures show that haha.
Last night I was so worriedbecause my best friend rang me whilst she was out with her brother and his friends and I thought it was just drunken banter, but she sounded really shaky telling me that she had got into a fight with some girls because they had jumped her brothers fiance and she jumped in, then the phone cut out.
Luckily she rang me back when she got in and she was fine. Basically the girls mistook her brothers fiance for someone else and 1 girl just launched at her, then another girl started on her Dad and launched at him, so Cat stepped him and dragged her off him, causing a bit of a punch up, but no-one was abdly hurt thank God!
Hollie, I am very sorry about the news, my condolences xx

thanks you guys (:
my grandparents have gone to stay with some more family for the night but are coming back here tonight. its weird seeing all the stories on the internet and all that. Just really surreal somehow.
Sorry to here that holly. Hope your ok.
I've got to go to Bangor tomorrow to hand my essay in. Could do without the day trip but got to be done.
My thoughts are with you and you family Hollie.
I thought my backache had finally went away but i guess not. Trying to decide what movie to watch or wether to finish reading The Time Travellers Wife . I seem to sleep my day's away nowadays got up the back of 12 today not good when i start back at college on wednesday, 9 O'clock to :(
Just found out that a friend of mine is pregnant with her second child, due in July. I am really pleased as she and her husband had split up for a while but got back together. :)
Im so sorry to hear that Hollie, my thoughts are with you and your family
And congrats to your friend Perdita :D
Its so werid to think that on friday im going back down to exeter, I mean im really looking forward to going back, but at the same time ive really enjoyed being back home and Im more settled in this time :p but my friend from uni called me earlier and it was really nice to hear from her :)
Ive always finished series 2 of ER....maybe now the real revision starts!

thanks for all the messages (: not heard anything new yet but her eldest - my cousin had to go identify her body today the poor thing. Only 25; must have been the hardest thing he's ever and possibly will ever have to do.
On another note - the snow is getting ridiculous. its not stopped all day and its still coming down thick and fast. nearly fallen on my ass countless times around college today!
Kirsty :]
04-01-2010, 20:33
Congratulations to your friend Perdita :)
Feeling rubbish today. Went back to College, boring as usual.. really losing interest at the moment which is scary because I don't want to end up hating it like I did school.
Still trying to get my head around the stupidness of myself on New Year.
On the plus side, I sent a cv in to a Brantano shoes a month or 2 back, I had a phonecall earlier this evening to invite me for an interview on Thursday so that's made me feel a bit better I guess.
Not been doing much tonight. Been dumped but to be honest for once it hasn't hurt me, there's plenty more fish in the sea. My back is still killing me and i was ready to kill my dad cause he said i was imagining the pain, and then he turned round and said he was joking. Watching Waterloo Road now, which i haven't see in ages, cause it's Series 3:D I want series 4 and still waiting for 2 CDs to turn up. My brother want's there to be no school, cause apparently stagecoach are refusing to drive on the school's bus park. Althrough who ever hear that i don't know.

Oooo good luck Kirsty! :D
No college today - snow is CRAZY. its so thick. and a woman has crashed right outside our house into a recycling truck with kids in the back. luckily no one was hurt, she's just slid into it coming down the street at the side of us. the bus then came down and nearly went into the back of her as well. all because there is no grit left because they're using it for motorways. there wasnt even any normal salt left in asda last night for food lmao because everyone is buying that. 39 schools and colleges in the are are shut because of it. just glad its this week and not next when i have exams!
The m60 was shut this morning. I'm glad I got to Bangor and back yesterday to hand in the essay and not today. I'm just revising today and i've been to the shop but it was crazty busy as everyone who needed stuff must have walked to the local shop.
I am full with a cold and went home at lunch time. Despite fleece jumber and cardigan, I was still shivering sitting next to a hot radiator. At least at home I can snuggle up in my comfy blanket :D
Hope you get better soon.
I'm going to get dressed, go for a walk around the park and blow some cobwebs out then do some revision.
ETA: It's started snowing so bang goes my walk.

Get well soon, Perdita. Hope you're enjoying snuggling in your blanket. :)
Went up the town, and got a bag from new look :D which will be good to use when i go up the town.

I am loooooving the snow :D Though it's a bit chaotic. My dad took 2 hours to get home from work, which usually takes 10 :|. Cos of traffic. He said people are driving so stupidly.
There's been like 5 crashes in town aswell, it's mental.
I want it to snow really heavily over here so i don't have to go into college, cause i have a funny feeling that no one's going to be in, and i don't want to be the only one in. We had quite a few schools off today, either due to weather, heating or water problems.
I think I am getting a cold.. my throat is getting a bit sore.. haven't slept properly in days as I am so cold every night...
I hope you feel better (and get a good night's sleep) soon, Siobhan.
I have a sore throat too :( My thighs are aching as well.
Get well soon, Abigail. Poor you for having aching limbs - I hate that.
Hope you feel better real soon, Abigail :)

My mum doesn't see the point in me going to the doctor's cause there's nothing they will do so going to start taking ibruprofen starting tomorrow and see if that helps i hope it does cause i'm planning on going out next saturday and don't really want to go out with a bad back! :(

I think you should go to the doctors, Tannie, especially if it's so bad you can't move. It's possible they'll just tell you to take ibuprofen, but they may want to send you to be scanned. That's what happened to a friend of mine recently. It'll probably depend on how long your back has been like that. Good luck with it, whatever you decide to do.

I don't have much money... if any, but will get me out fo the house, should be funnnn :)
Went up the town and managed to bump into like nearly everyone! Got Aimee then went to my gran's i managed to fall down the stairs, than coming home Aimee managed to fall

Ohhh myyy funniest night out ever!!
There was only 3 of us, went to Cats first and then we had to meet our other friend Claire at the local. Walking through the lane but the hill was icy, some bloke was so drunk and couldn't get up the hill and kept sliding back down and his wife is trying to get him up the hill by telling him there was more wine at the top  and he ended up in the holly tree going "ohhh holly, it burnnssss!!" Was so funny. Cat trying to get down the hill, grabbed onto me and went sliding.. luckily she stayed on her feet but grabbed onto the nearest thing for supprt... another holly bush! I just took my scarf off and sat on it and slid down on my bum... didn't think I was going to stop though!
After our local we went to this other oub for karaoke... we rocked it! Haha, well... not really :)
Got to about 1am and we decided Newport would be a good idea... didn't get in until about half 3, and bumped into my cousin so was with her most the night. She was so protective over me bless her... she's only a few months older than me! But it's comforting to know she's there if I'm ever in trouble, as I would be for her. Best night out in a while... spontaneous nights are always the best!! :D
Cook dinner over my Mums today, perfect cure!! Yummm
Sounds you had a great time, Kirstey. Good on you :cheer:
Decided to go up the town last night, stayed out longer than planned. Managed to get someone's number through :D. So it's all good, nearly went flying that was funny! Got a bit drunk though. Been told this boy likes me more than a friend. Now i don't know what to do :S I'm so confused! Urgh! :(

My home pc is fooked. Been trojaned and I'm having to bring it into work tomorrow so the techy guys can peform some life threating surgery on it. Laptop is away getting repaired as well so communication has been disconected. Back at work still tons of snow and ice lying around.
I need to motivate myself today. Case to finish packing ready to leave tomorrow, revision to do and emails to send. Not looking forward to it but can't wait to go back to uni.
i managed to get back to uni last night, the snow held off, no snow in wales compared to what itwas like at home in manchester.
Hope your computeres fixed soon Kath, i hate having no communications its rubbish.
Slightly concerned at my lack of motivation to revise considering y exam is on thrusday, i really need shaking into gear and a kick up the bum. Need to think about what to do after uni as well, decisions like that are so hard to make.

1 exam down, 3 to go

Abbie, I'm sure you've done fine. The first year of your degree doesn't count towards your final classification so you only need to pass each module (40%) to progress to the second year.
There's a lot of leeway when it comes to the final grade for a module, lecturers can choose to up your mark if they feel you know the content well but did badly on the day. It pays to get to know your lecturers because if they see you're committed they will do whatever they can if you run into problems later on. The lecturers that I know well and get on with are fine with me just dropping in and asking questions whereas those who don't know my personal circumstances are reluctant to do anything beyond the bare minimum.
I'm going on an activist conference at the end of the month. It's going to be fun and I'll get fed three times a day, including a three course evening meal and free wine by the gallon. Its my first NUS conference and I'm looking forward to it.
I've fallen once today, it's like a ice rink no joke! My back is better now but it was killing me earlier on! Got a driving lesson soon, and really don't want to do it :( but it has to be done, than heading to the pub afterwards. Got college tomorrow and can't wait get to see all my girls :D Want rid of this ice and snow! It's doing my head in!

It's just unlucky. Nothing linked. One was cancer, 2 heart attacks, 1 possible drink related, 1 drug related/hyperthermia, etc..
I've never really been scared of death before.. but lately I am. I just have a bad feeling that the next one will be someone close to me. Hope that I am wrong though.

Quiet couple of days. I've managed to highlight two pages of holiday reading material and have written the draft of my exam essay...other than that been lazing around watching the telly!
This evening I gave a tenner to that dec haiti appeal. Somehow I got charged five times...(I think I may have pressed the back button...:o) Ah well. I feel a bit of an idiot but we live and learn. It would be churlish to ask for it back. Plus the student loan is coming in next week. Hooray.
On a different note earlier I was sprinkling chocolate sprinkles onto my microwaved banana (trust me, it tastes lush :p) and I was about to eat it when I saw a maggot. Checked the sprinkles I saw two more wriggling in there! Glad I didn't eat that banana! :p

Ok, I shall try it, when mother next buys bananas, I'll get her to buy them Thursday. How long do you microwave the banana for? Does it need to be hot hot? Or warm?
I don't know what to do.. 2 of my friend and me applied for same job.. one of us got it and I was offered another position.. my friend is really upset she didn't get the job we applied for and has said she is applying for the other job that has already been offered to me but I can't tell her until it is announced.. I want to celebrate but I can't and I don't know what to say to her.. it has been a bitter sweet day for me today..
Congratulations for your new job, Siobhan. I sympathise with your predicament regarding your friend applying for it and not being able to tell her. That is a really awkward position to be in. I hope it works out ok. Sorry for not having any useful advice.
I feel for you Siobhan, but obviously, you can't let on until the official announcement. If she is a true friend, she will accept that they thought you were the better person for the job. If she is nasty to you because of you getting the job she wanted, give her some time to adjust to the news, she will feel very hurt and rejected and might let you feel the brunt of it. But if she can't be your friend anymore, then she was not a good friend. I hope you two can work it out. :)

I haven't been to bed since Saturday night. :| I am so so so tired. My Mum went into hospital last night so I went to keep watch on the kids and wait up for any news...hence not sleeping last night lol. I was showered and dressed by 5:00am. Made my brother his pack lunch for school and went back over at half 7 to get him up and ready for school and made his breakfast etc. etc. my duty for the week, but fair play he's been as good as gold for me considering he really dislikes school.
They took my Mum's appendix out today, went to see her at visiting hours, and she hadn't long come around, she was so out of it. I made jokes out of her being as high as a kite and babbling crazy stuff, but actually I was terrifed. She was still in pain and it was awful to see her like that :( I wanted to cry as all she wanted was a drink and she wasn't allowed, and then she kept jumping in her sleep which really scared me. Hopefully she would have come around alot more tomorrow night :)
Feeling really bad though, I posted on Facebook this morning that I hoped my Mum had a speedy recovery, not thinking anything of it. It prompted family and close friends to ask what was wrong and if my Mum was okay, so naturally I answered thinking I was doing the right thing :/ but my Dad was really annoyed. I never meant to upset anyone by it at all. It was definately held against me tonight, I feel awful, but I can't take it back now as people have obviously seen it. I said yesterday I should stop opening my mout as it just gets me into trouble, why didn't I listen to myself?

Aww, Kirstey, sorry to hear about your tough time at the moment but you are doing so well looking after your brother. I guess your dad did not think about your feelings because he is worried himself, we don't always appreciate other people's actions when we are scared and worried ourselves. And you probably did not realise he did not want others to know, so don't feel bad about it. You are doing great xx

I am actually fuming. Like I'm about to boil over! Today we were supposed to receive our bonus, and backpay and normal pay from EMA today, a few have been paid, I haven't. So I went to see what had happened and the man in the office said that there was a backlog and I should receive it on 8th Feb and if not I have to go back.
I'm sorry, but I don't think having a backlog is a good enough excuse. Its so unfair for some students to be paid and others now have to wait, and they should have a more efficient system because clearly the way they're doing things now aren't working properly. If they'd have automatically paid everyone for the weeks we had snow and they closed the College... they would never have been in this situation. Rant over.
I've had a really rubbish few days :(
Saturday I was at a demo all day. It turned nasty and we ended up locked in the union for a while because there were people with weapons threatening to do people in.
When I finally got home, I had a bottle of wine (first mistake) and considered a few things. I realised a few things that I've been avoiding for a while. I do still care about him; I can't forgive him and that makes me feel so alone. Then came the second mistake of the night.
Yesterday I didn't do much, just the usual washing and tidying up. In the evening I decided it would be a good idea to escape my misery with a bit of recreational drug use. I took too much though and suffered the consequences today: shaking, nausea, vomiting, disassociation, lack of concentration...
I had a really important meeting to chair this afternoon. To say I didn't know what happened is an understatement. I managed to blag it with the excuse of a migraine but I let someone have the upper hand and now I've got to sort it out when I'm not high. My friend had a major go at me for not being on the ball. He knew what I got up to last night and he wasn't happy this morning when I couldn't string a sentence together. I let him down; he depended on me to do one thing for him and I couldn't do it.
I stopped taking the anti-depressants suddenly a few days ago. I know it's a stupid thing to do and to be honest, I'm not sure why I did it. I've also drunk five bottles of wine this week, which doesn't help my mood at all. I'm in a self-destructive mind set at the moment and I can't get out of it. The simple answer would be to start taking the meds again but I can't be bothered and it's not the solution to my problems.
I let on a bit too much to a friend this afternoon and I'm concerned she might tell someone who's going to put two and two together. I know she would only do it out of concern and perhaps it's easier than me telling him myself.
Anyway, after not sleeping at all last night, I need some shut eye. Still feeling nauseaus :(

Ah flatmates! I wish one would just apologise to the other. Especially as technically I did the exact same actions. I told him that our drunk flatmate would be fine, that she'd been that drunk before, to leave it and just go to bed. Then I went into my room and shut the door. She did the same, except she went to the opposite flat for a couple of hours, by which time all the drama (of him calling security to put her to bed. - I'm glad I was in bed by this point!) was over.
And now he's been hiding in his room most of the day since and they aren't talking. She doesn't know what she did wrong, and I'm not quite sure either. He needs to talk to her at least or better still, apologise for sending the texts (saying she didn't care about drunk flatmate). He acts as if he's 15 most of the time its unreal. Remind me why I agreed to share a house with him next year! Dear me.

Haha Kasple :p Yeah me and my friend got too excited while watching Harry Potter. That Severus *dribbles*.
Ha but yeah it's been dodgy for a while. And like it had a leg in the middle.. and the leg broke off, so now it is unsafe, and like if you lie on it/sit on it, it bends a bit in the middle ha.

Seconded.
Omg Im soooo brusied from the pole dancing class today! And im gonna be in even more pain tomorrow! =(
You did drugs?
Yes. Not the ones you're thinking of, but I did take a mind and body altering substance.
I'm going to start taking my anti-depressants again. I'll write more in the depression thread. I've been told not to take anything this weekend, not even a paracetamol.
I've set things back so much; we could have planned everything this week and instead we're going to be running around like headless chickens.
Anyway. Going to a conference tomorrow in the East Midlands. The only thing I'm looking forward to is the three course meal tomorrow night, complete with as much wine as one can sink, and talking to a very good looking guy that I've sought out on Facebook  He's got a girlfriend though and he's high up in NUS so nothing is going to happen... The conference is about activism and sounds tremendously dull but at least I can admit I'm going for the free wine. When NUS start talking about "critiquing the campaigning practices of organisations," I switch off.

We have a new flat-mate!
Naturally accommodation managers didn't tell us. A campervan came into the courtyard outside and then there he was in our flat! He seems really nice, he's from France, here to learn English and work on some project at the university for 5 months until the summer.

Hope everyone's okay, was gonna be on here more this year but only just got back to normal after everything that has happened! Nan and granddad ended up staying 4 weeks instead of one so its been pretty hectic! and with college exams and all that, pahh not a good start to the year! But some good news, got a phonecall earlier offering me a job :D so dead chuffed about that!
congratulations on the job Hollie, hope things are getting better at yours.
We had a few people move into my halls like that to, it was pretty random
I did a 1000 words of my essay today up to 2004 so another day like today tomorrow and i may be on track for the deadline. Bein back in lectures is a bit of a shock to the system! going to grap an early night, feelin tired, so plan is to get my pjs on and watch a film, maybe wildchild, not seen it yet and my litle sister said its quite a good one to watch as a time killer, like it doesnt take uch concentration which is just waht i need as a day in the library has turned my brain too Mush
Conference wasn't bad actually :) The other delegate left after a few hours which made me feel more comfortable. I "networked" and made lots of contacts, which was more useful to me than the conference. Especially as I met the president of one union (not going to say in case you all go check him out) and he is very dishy  I've got his details and I'll probably see him in a few weeks (work related). I haven't stopped thinking about him since I met him though...
Went out last night with the other delegates and had lots of fun. There's this one guy, Rich, who kinda followed me around quite a bit. His room was next to mine so he came into my room about 12.30am on our way back so I could check the time for breakfast. An hour later he'd sat himself on my bed, still talking, and proceeded to very slowly (an item every few mins) get undressed. I kicked him out when he started hinting before it got too far :p
The hotel was pretty good. I got a complimentary upgrade; double power shower, double bed (most people got singles), 1000 count egyptian cotton sheets. I seriously did not want to get out of bed this morning, I've never been in such a cosy bed. It was amazing.

Congratulations on the job Hollie :) what will you be doing?
Omggg Abigail that does sound realllly comfy! :)
Went out last night down to Wetherspoons for a friends birthday. Considering there weren't many of us, it was a good night. I bumped into to quite a few old faces which was nice, apart from bumping into Adam. Hm. That wan't nice and I think something may be erupting on Facebook. Ah well, I'm just angry at him now so he will feel my wrath :)
Ugh, fed up of pervy old men too, but thats a different story... I love how they think they can get away with anything because you're drunk... no way!!
My friend on the other hand had such a good night!! Hha bless she's a lightweight as it is but she so hammered. I'll be checking on her today.
I saw my supervisor man from work too sat on the table next to us but I'm not sure if he recognised me so I'll have to wait and see in work lol. All in all... good night :)
Work today 1-5 and then I think it's a case of chilling out :)

Ugh wish I had luck with this job hunting malarkey.
Well, had an interview at the job center today, sign on first time Friday.. so I'm officially on the dole :(. Hopefully it won't be for too long, and a job is just around the corner *crosses fingers*.
hope you get a job soon Lea, I think im going to be in that position soon enough, i really just want to finish my degree, starting to get me down now, i just want to go back to manchester i think the time has come. Few more months hard work and itsll be over thankfully.

I think you've answered this twice in the past couple of days haha, but what are you doing in uni again??
Mmm dvdathon - love those days :D, have fun!
Had an awful meeting this evening. I shouted at someone and told them to get out. I had to restrain myself from saying anything more. I wish he'd just drop off the face of the earth.
I haven't been around in ageeees. Trying to sort my life out a bit and it isn't working My hip's been killing me and I had a blood test earlier on. I hate them with a passion didn't even know i was needing one, not pleased that she sprung it on me! As long as she find's out what's wrong, she also say's she want's me to get my hip X - Rayed but I'm not to do It until she phone's me. Hope she does cause it's sore and i can't take anymore time off of college cause of exams and whatnot! Now i'm away to get ready heading out for a few drinks with a mate for a while and the guy i like may be there so :P:D Hope we're all good :D!
Good luck with your hip, Tannie. I hope they find what's wrong soon.
I've been asked out on a date next Sunday (valentine's day). His name is Ameet. I'm not entirely sure I should go. For a start, I don't have a ball gown or anything remotely close to evening wear. I've only met him a few times and I didn't think much to him.
My laptop stopped working last night. Just wouldn't stay switched on for more than a few minutes. It seems to be working now :hmm:

You should goooo Abigail. You may not have thought much of him last time, but he could be what you need :D.
OK, its not just that. There's a huge culture difference between us two. I'm of no particular religion (depends what sort of day I'm having) and he's muslim. I don't want to start something and not be able to get out because of what I feel.
If this was the president guy, I would not turn him down.
Talking about him, it wasn't him who rang me, it was this guy who asked me out. Similar sounding names :p

Ha aw bless really  And you were so excited lmao!
Tell me about it! I was so disappointed when I realised.
Just been looking at ball guy's profile and he's going in the army :hmm: He's not bad looking either.

I have been hibernated the past couple of days since the snow returned to Scotland. Work is crap at the moment everyone is talking about merging with other colleges and job cuts. On a positve note I am still going to the gym twice a week and I have done the Hannah Waterman dvd workout twice this week. The scales haven't moved but my trousers are feeling loose. so fingures crossed.
What a ridiculously busy day :D Had an Asda delivery this morning so I now have a decent frying pan I can use and more tuna and cereal than I could possible eat. Also did some filing and popped into town for some shopping. Me and some friends went to the park this afternoon just as the sun was setting. We laughed so much and it was great to have fun and forget about what's going on for an hour. I fell off the roundabout and hit my head. Everyone laughed and found it hysterically funny. To quote my friend, "I felt you rolling away from me and realised you were going to hit the ground but couldn't be bothered to stop you." I feel so lucky to have found so many people that share the same interests as me, can have a political debate and look out for each other. Not many teens/early 20s are capable of such discussion, solidarity and comradeship.
My printer has gone kaput. Never again will I buy unbranded refilled cartridges. I'd rather pay an extra £20 and get the real deal that work.
I am so tired. Tomorrow is the last lie in I have until next weekend. The referendum begins on Tuesday and I'm preparing myself for multiple complaints and one hell of a week. But I wouldn't change it for the world because I love elections and referenda; I love the planning, the meetings, covert intel on the opposition, rumours, a whole week without sleep, staying up until some stupid time talking tactics... I'm not allowed to be part of that now and I seriously miss the positive stress and constant buzz of energy. If you've never taken part in an election campaign, I urge you to do so. Its amazing how people can come together, support each other and campaign non-stop for a common cause.
And yeah, the diazepam and wine are kicking in now. Time for sleep I belive.

We had racist graffiti sprayed all over the university last night. The university are literally putting it under the carpet and covering it up, not dealing with the issue. The police are involved but I can't see it getting any further than that.

Enjoy the sound of Music Tannie, sounds great
I am not impressed with my laptop it got fixed and now it has a virus so if anyone knows how to get rid of the XP guardian virus that poses as windows security centre any help will be greastly appreciated! this would also explain my lack of activity, meant to be writing my essay in the library, but thought id make use of the internet instead.
Got a bit of a cold so just a bit of work rest and tv this weekend i think. should be good though and not forgetting the rugby at the weekend, the six nations is my favourite bit about february.,
Well done on your results abbie, im getting mine next week! Im feeling slightly sick just thinking about it.

Hope your laptop is fxed soon Katy. My pc is still in the hands of the techy guys at work. A month it has been in intesive care. Having to use Marley's laptop but some of the keys have come loose on the keyboard and the panel which secures the battery has come loose again. Only fixed last month,. I don't want to take it back at the moment until my PC is up and running. Apart from that I was at a very emotional school assembly this morning. The assembly was for Marley's ex-teacher who died in December from Cancer. After the assembly they set of balloons in the playground in Mr Fyfe's memory. /some good news on Genius child number 1. She sat an english test before Christmas, which she past. Then a maths one this week. If she passes this one she will be at the academic level of an S2 in Scotland. Year 9 South of the border. She is two years ahead of what is expected of her.
Good news about Marley, Kath, I am sure that it is down to you that she is that far advanced. Well done to both of you :cheer: Hope you get your pc/laptop sorted soon :)
thats brilliant bein that far ahead! she must be very clever.
i think i fixed it! fingers crossed. Its running smoothly at the moment. I still have a couple of sticky keys especially o, you have to ress it really hard. Considering i usually struggle turning the thing on, i really didnt think id be able to get rid of it myself!
feeling slightly better think the early nght did me good. Got to run to t own in a bit an try and make the bank.

I've had a busy weekend :)
My car is back on the road!!! Finally.. so I'm taking great advantage of that right now
Work is going well, I'm feeling more relaxed now :)
Thursday I had work and then went to curry night at Spoons with my friend, we also ended up in Bowplex playing pool and was slightly tipsy.
Friday my car went back on the road :) friday night I went to Spoons with my school friends as they were hom from Uni... apparently, I was legless, I really don't remember alot.
Then yesterday I had work :) and then went for food with my friend Stacey to China China. It was so weird going there.. just reminded me of Mr.Jones, and it's where I had my interview, and one of the staff who helped us with management for a few days was working there... but he actually recognised me! Which was nice :) so we were given our drinks for free. He also asked me to give them a hand because they were so busy! Haha... my answer was "haha, no.. I applied here and no-one rang me back"... their loss :)
We left there and decided on going to the pub (I drove... couldn't take anymore drink) and I had a phonecall off an old work friend to say she was in Bowlplex and asked if we were out to pop in so we could have a catch up, she then said "just to warn you... Adam is here". I decided that I had to get changed and dolled up a bit more just to show him what he was missing... we got there and he had gone!! Darn it. Nevermind. Haha. We still had a good night! all in all a very good weekend
I've got a really bad headache and I'm burning up slightly.. I also keep seeing things out of the corner of my eye, but there's nothing there.. I'm getting freaked out haha. Sorry for the essay, had alot to fill in ahah :)
