I saw a headline on a soap mag today (saw it while in a queue, yes I look at the soap headlines :p)... that Clare sleeps with Jack. I think that's what it said. I know it was something like that, as I was like..

I know what you mean about Jack getting bored. Hope this isn't true though. There are better people to cheat on Tanya with... can't think of one atm... cause let's face it Tanya is the best woman there at the mo... looks at personality..

But this is exactly what Clare is all about - getting her claws into somebody with money and Jack is certainly not short of a bob or two, so it figures that she would seduce him and Jack does not take a lot of seducing, does he :thumbsdow

don't think anyone does.. think it is gone

Perdita

Well, it was fluttering on the pavement, so would somebody pick it up? Seeing it is a soap, yes, somebody probably will, else they would not have shown it flying in the gust of wind. Would Keith be able to prove that it is his ticket though? :hmm:

StarsOfCCTV
03-06-2008, 11:04
Well he did say to everyone he'd won the lottery so if someone picked it up then if they were decent...they'd return it :p

You can also report stolen tickets I think. Although I doubt Keith would think of that lol

Perdita
03-06-2008, 11:13
But the ticket was not stolen, he lost it just as he was being chucked out and the ticket was able to be picked up by a gust of wind, should have checked his pockets a little more closely.

I don't know about UK lottery tickets but in Ireland you have a place to sign at the back and only the person who signed it can claim it

Yeah but if someone else takes it and claims it then it is stolen :p

In the UK we don't sign out tickets it just goes through the machine and you get a pinkish printed receipt thing with your numbers on it.

Perdita
03-06-2008, 11:16
Don't you have to produce both slips of paper if you want to make your claim? :hmm:

apparently you can phone up somewhere if you have lost/someones stolen your lottery ticket and say where and when it was bought and if it matches up then you can still claim the money

03-06-2008, 13:37
Okay they want to be together, why not take it one step at a time whereas people in EE always jump into eachothers bed?! I mean come on, dosen't always happen!

i agree, i was thinking that about jack and tanya. i can understand jack, but tanya was doubtful about being with jack and then the next second she was in bed with him, cant have had that many doubts!

Can you? There was a case a few years back where a couple had lost their ticket and although everything they said matched up - ie where and when their ticket was bought, details which can be checked, Camelot still didn't pay them a penny. Camelot even admitted that the couple were genuine but they didn't get a bean.

What a completely random episode last night! The Millers winning the lottery was such a poor storyline - Mickey screaming "we're rich" in the Vic was cringeworthy. It was like something from a cheap comedy show.

Chelsea really needs to sort herself out!

i agree, yesterdays epi was so boring, whereas recently ee has been pretty goodIm not sure, I actually think its declined a bit recently. This Chelsea storyline has came a bit out of nowhere for me, feels as if its just been hastily thought up to add a bit of "edginess" to her character. And then there's Bianca and the kids which im really not warming to at all. EE are doing absolutely nothing with Bianca to make her likeable at the minute, I reckon people are gonna get very bored of her soon..

No, all you need is your ticket. You don't need anything else.

The prize for five numbers is not all that much though. Last week, for example, it was £2,526.

i agree about chelsea, ive never liked her, so having her in this storyline which i agree has somehow made her become an addict overnight is annoying, but apart from that i quite like the rest of ee now that the stupid wedding storyline is over and steven has gone. i dont mind bianca and her kids, and as lucy hasnt really been in it much its not too bad

Tiana Benjamin put in a wonderful performance tonight - I think she's a good actress. I just feel this drugs storyline has been rushed with her.

or Liam,, Liam could have been the young person picking up the ticket too ........or Whitney...or probably some one who just saw a piece of paper on the ground and picks it up then sticks it in the bin,, end of the winning lottery ticket :( :crying:
Why do these actresses screw up their faces to look like they are crying,, I admire actresses and actors who can ACTUALLY CRY,,

So Jack left his pants behind in Tanya's draw.

This is quite a frequent plot device that an incriminating pair of knickers or pants get left behind. Why? Who would leave these intimate garments behind and why? Why don't these people get dressed properly afterwards?

Chelsea is an extremely selfish person. I hope Lucas can get through to her.. Poor Libby.. she has had same upbringing as Chelsea, lest not forget getting kidnapped by her dad and she seem to more sensible and mature than her "older" sister...

I am glad they are highlighting Dyslecia (sp?) with Liam and Ricky.. it is amazing how many kids are deemed stupid when they are dyslecia...

JustJodi

Keith never ceases to amaze me with the size of his U KNOW whats,, just knocking on the Masoods door mumbling some gibberish and plopping in their living room in front of the TV...
This whole Jack and Tanya thing ,,,,:hmm: jury is still out on those two.
please gang tell me that Chelsa's presence on the show is almost over. Wonder how Denise is going to react seeing her ex at Patricks ,, should be verrrrrrrry interesting..

I agree with the dyslexia storyline and how in real life lots of kids under-achieve because of it and often it does not get picked up by teachers or parents. The same with autism, friends of mine have an autistic son and did not know for quite a while what was wrong. :(

Rickayyyyyy did a good job with Liam, I thought Bianca struggled, cos she isn't exactly the sharpest pencil in the box either. This is a good story line, lets hope the EE writers do it justice, it is something that society needs to address, yes Autisim as well ( if it comes up ) They did good with Downs Syndrome ( BTW where are the Mitchell little ones ??? we haven't seen then for a long time )

I think this is the usual stupid scriptwriting where stuff others are not meant to see is being left lying around without a good reason for it, like the airline tickets, surely they would have been put in the handbag rather than left where anybody can see them.

i agree with the underwear, surely tanya would have removed them from the drawer in case one of the kids found them or at least not told lauren to go in the drawer knowing that they were in there. however i dont agree with the tickets cos its not like they left them lying around downstairs in the vic, they were upstairs so they didnt think stacey or anyone else would be going up there so they wouldnt have had any reason to put them away

I'm so glad May's back - absolutely love her. I can't stand Dawn so am naturally more partial towards May. I have sympathy for her though she shouldn't have held Dawn hostage. May is back as "Jenny" - fantastic. I am liking Lucas more and more - seems like a decent guy.

yes, they were quite sweet actually. plus i think the BBC are doing the dyslexia storyline quite well with explaining the different tests and procedures they go through with schools etc.

the scenes in the club were quite good too, it showed how easily things can get out of hand when there's too much drink and drugs flowing.

I'm glad Denise is back.

Does anyone else think Lucas looks young compared to Denise??????????

Claire and Chelesa as useless completely annoying

I don't buy Dawn/Jase as a couple no chemistry whatsoever whereas Bianca/Ricky plenty chemistry i hope they reunite.

So evil Dr. May is back
he does look younger he is quite nice :p

I just love Jean, she makes up for a lot of other nerdy characters like Chelsea and Lucy. Ian's face when Lucy told him that she was off in a camper van with Olly was a picture. Lucy must have some of the evil gene that Steven has. I know we all argue with our parents, especially when we are teenagers but I would never have dared to be so rude to my mum and dad the way she is. I thought that after her disappearing act she might have changed a bit but sadly not. :(

Joanne
11-06-2008, 09:03
maybe Ian should change tactics with Lucy and just appear completely nonchalant regarding her antics. She obviously wants to get a reaction and if he could just act like he couldn't care less what she does I'm sure that would bother her.

Lucy is a spoilt Madam:angry: I loved the May scenes. I am so sorry for her. I hope Jane and Tanya will still be her friends though I know she is only short term Her hair is much longer now and it suits her. I'm glas Lucas was kind to her and Jase (though he probably wouldn't have been if he knew her real identity) - even Amanda's sorry for her and Amanda is a fab actress. She's obviously got herself struck off the GP list permanently - shame. She was a really good doctor. I know she's still unstable but the sectioning must have done some good and of course I completely forgive her though obviously what she did to Dawn was very wrong and people have to be vary and cautious around someone like May. I wish I could give May a great big hug. I wonder if her famioly know she was arrested and sectioned. She's always be my favourite charecter alongside Steven. The Lucas/Chelsea scenes were good. Lucas is a decent chap. Denise had no right to tell the property renter about the drugs - that was years ago.

Shiv I agree with you,,, this whole story line is totally unrealistic,,now she has Christian allowing them to use his place so they can do the horizonal mambo,, it really sends out negative messages to the audience of 14 yr olds,,or younger even. Ian needs ( yes again) to develop a back bone.. and practice some serious TOUGH LOVE,, and yea,, she should have stayed LOST or at least gone off with Steven. Where is Peter in all of this ?? Surely not spending the nights at Laurens :rotfl:
Olly is just a fascination for Lucy, cos he is alone, and traveling, and not working , and no parental units breathing down his neck,,she wants it and she wants to rub it in. Time for her to GO.......this time for GOOD,, shes really a BAD EGG.

It's no wind up Parkerman. I am very sorry for May and she'll always be my favourite charecter. I have read the spoilers and I know what happens but that is just down to stupid scriptwriting. What does that mean? These people are not real. They are what the scriptwriters make them. The scriptwriters could have written the script in such a way that May becomes a reformed character, but they haven't. That's not stupid, that's the way the character and the storyline goes. That's what you have to judge them on, not what you would like them to be. I mean I could say it's only stupid scriptwriting that made Trevor a villain and that really he should have been written as a nice caring husband for Little Mo, but he wasn't and that's how we have to judge characters.

Perdita
13-06-2008, 14:37
You hit the nail on the head, Parkerman, it is not stupid scriptwriting when they make up a character, if they make a storyline go on and on, without really adding anything to it, then one could argue that it is stupid scriptwriting, but never about the characters themselves. It was playing up the other day when I was trying to watch the ombinbus on there (the one before today's one.) I never saw the Jack/Tanya knicker business, but I'm quite thankful for that.

Loved todays.. can't believe Jane let May in the chippy! She gets one psycho out of the picture in the form of Stephen, then readily lets another in. I thought May was going to ask for some chips, not sugar. The timing was good at the end, where Dawn was like "Jase I'll pack your stuff," and it was May at the door. Can't believe we have to wait until Wednesday for the next episode! Stupid football :( Wonder where Rob is now.. I didn't expect May to be back so quickly after that happened.

Seriously getting fed up of Dawn. Jay's so right; Dawn, Dawn, Dawn! Can't believe she put makeup on a year old baby; it's all about money with her. She needs to let Jase have the time to spend with Jay; he might be older than summer and a teenager but it doesn't mean he's attention seeking and stropping all the time. The poor boy's already lost his mum and gran to cancer and he hasn't had his dad back for that long.

It's repeated at the usual time on BBC3 Chris, it's just tomorrow instead of tonight.

I must admit the actress who plays Dr. May plays her very well whereas the actress who plays Dawn cant act at all

Jack/Tanya i just don't see it :thumbsdow

I really hope Bianca does not steal and sell Pat's ring

Brilliant episode tonight. Amanda is a greast actress. Though a bit shocked that May knocked Mickey out and locked Jane up and tried to steal Summer I can't help feeling sorry for her. She is infertile, Rob is engaged to someone else and it looks as tjough she had a difficult time in the psychiatric hospital. On top of that she's lost her career which she loved.

Even Dawn felt a little sorry for her rival. Before she broke in she hadn't actually done anything wrong so there would have been no point going to the police. I am in two minds here. I am sorry for May and all she has been through and I can't help liking her still despite everything. At the same time I can see that she is capable of doing dangerous things and I sympathise with the Millers for their ordeal though I generally think Dawn's selfish and Keith's lazy. Though I think that May would make a better mum for Suimmer than Dawn stealing the baby is not the answer and was dead wrong. Actually after watching tonight I don't think she intended to kill any of the Millers when she lit that cigarette after turning the gas on.

When Mickey sent her away she probably thought the police would be called and in her desperationshe probably wanted to commit suicide because she didn't see the point in living now that she had lost Summer. I am ure she intended to say her goodbyes when she saw her last with Jase but her obsessionwith Summer was too strong for that. As with Steven I don't think she came out hated by the audience because she didn't actually kill or attempt to kill anyone (except perhaps herself).

I sdon't think what she did to Mickey was a murder attempt. I think she was intending to knock him unconsiousnot kill him. From her account it looks like she never went to prison but to psychiatric hospital instead. I'm glad of that. Prison would have been too horrible for someone like May though she did need some kind of punishment for doing wrong.

what a fab episode.. the only thing that would have made it better was to have Clare, Chelsea and lucy in the house with May... I think it is bye bye May... Amanda Drew is fantastic actress, pity I could say the same about Kiara acting along side her.. even Summer was acting much better..

My god Lucy :angry::angry: she is a brat from hell.. do 14 year olds really act like that???? She is walking all over Ian. If I was him I would have just chucked her out and see what it was really like to be homeless (she has a cosy caravan and food last time curtesy of her equal crazy brother)... surely Ian should have her checked out too!!!!

Nor me, bit too late for him to be making up for everything now. And I can't believe he managed to lose that lottery ticket and yet maintain a lock of Rosie's hair! Felt so sorry for Darren in that episode; he's been through enough with the Demi stuff and then he had Summer, Dawn and Mickey in the house while Keith charged in. I thought the episode was excellently ended though; with Mickey saying that he wished he'd done more I thought that Dawn had died, and yet while the body bag was carried out of the Millers' house, it was obvious that it was May that had died as Dawn had been taken to hospital.

Loved EE's last night. I was nearly blubbing wanting them to get out. I thought they acted greatly especially Darren. I thought it was exellent. People wonder why EE's win all the awards and this week just proves that they are the best soap.

I wonder how long it will be until we find out that someone has complained about it last night cos they droped Summer out of window or summat.

Abi is such a brat. Tanya had just told her about how Max and her needed some space but she wasnt bothered about that. Just bothered about herself. She only wants her dad back because he spoils her thats why shes a brat now. Max only thought he had one kid and that was her. He never paid any attention to the others.

Max hasn't changed at all has he? Granted - he kept his promise not to bother her but as soon as he found out it was Abi that texted him home and not Tanya he should have left again. Tanya and Jack have done nothing wrong. She and Max were seperated and she was alone so she had every right to see someone if she wanted. I'm glad she told Jack the truth about what happened - I guess he realised she was desperate. She wanted to divorce Max but he wouldn't leave her alone - kept manipulating her till she pretended to take him back. He had an affair with his son's girlfriend while married to his wife which is much worse. I'm glad Bracey are back together though. They belong together.

I actually think it's quite common for a person to fall in love with their brother inlaw or sister in law and sometimes it works out and sometimes not. Obviously Abi and Lauren will dind that hard but they are not mature enough to understand about things like that. Tanya was very reasonable - suggesting she and Max could be friends and saying that he was still Abi, Lauren and Oscar's father and had rights of access. I think Jack was telling the truth whene admitted feeling sorry for Max but Max is so manipulative. I was a bit sorry when he talked to Jack and when he was buried alive but tonight it was all "Me me me" from Max - keeping that promise not to bother Tanya was the one decent hing he did that I can think of.

I think Tanya is being a bit unfair on herself aswell as her children by her behaviour tbh. Yes, Max was a complete one, but since they split, she's gone from pillar to post, almost thinking about nothing but her own "needs" - one minute Shaun, next minute Jack. I don't think she loves any of them, she seems to lust them moreso, due to her ego being boosted by their attraction to her, which yes, is deserved after the way Max treated her BUT she isn't thinking of the children, or how much she is going to hurt herself after all of this. Can any of us really see it working out? Its Walford, so I truly doubt it.

But thats just me anyway

I know that most people won't agree with me on this but I'm getting a bit fed up with the whole St Tanya routine.

Men don't just fall for Tanya - they become besotted with her, in Sean's case to the point of being willing to kill for her. We seem to see so many scenes with men telling her constantly how much they love her, how much they want her. Is she really that great?

I don't believe for a second that in real life Jack would want an actual relationship with her, a few quick fumbles yes but not the whole package. He doesn't strike me as the type of guy who would take on someone elses children, in this case his own brother's, and the huge responsiblility that comes with it.

I know she's been badly hurt, must be suffering from low self esteem, needs an ego boost etc etc etc but I'm finding it all a bit tiresome now.

but why should max have to leave and not see his kids again for months just cos tanya doesnt want him to be there? ok maybe he shouldnt stay in the house but he shouldnt have to leave and not visit til tanya says so. i know she wanted time but imo she shouldnt have stopped him from seeing the kids and she has obviously moved on so if max wants to stay on the square and be a part of the kids lives then he should be allowed to be, he shouldnt have to go away just cos tanya wants him too

Tanya and Jack have done nothing wrong. She and Max were seperated and she was alone so she had every right to see someone if she wanted. I'm glad she told Jack the truth about what happened - I guess he realised she was desperate.

im not saying tanya cant see anyone else or that she should take max back, but dont you think that if she had moved on and started seeing someone else then she should have let max know that it was over between them? if abi hadnt have sent the text then how long would tanya have let max keep waiting for? would she have left him for months/a year/more than that and just left him to think that he still had a chance?

also, maybe im wrong, but i got the impression that tanya hadnt told jack about what she did to max and jack was just bluffing that he knew to make max look stupid? thats what i thought anyway but obviously i could be wrong

I actually think it's quite common for a person to fall in love with their brother inlaw or sister in law and sometimes it works out and sometimes not. Obviously Abi and Lauren will dind that hard but they are not mature enough to understand about things like that. I was a bit sorry when he talked to Jack and when he was buried alive but tonight it was all "Me me me" from Max - keeping that promise not to bother Tanya was the one decent hing he did that I can think of.

ok i agree that lauren and especially abi arent very mature for their age, but i dont think thats the whole reason they wont like the fact that tanya is with jack. i know i wouldnt like it if my dad left my mum for my auntie! as jacks their uncle i dont think its the same as tanya just getting a new boyfriend, its slightly weird your uncle becoming your stepdad and i think it would take a bit of getting used to regardless of how mature you are

and i dont think tanya was being reasonable saying max had right to access, i thought that would go without saying. tanya hasnt let max see his kids for 6 weeks and made lauren and abi think that their dad didnt want to see them anymore. max didnt do anything to directly hurt the kids so of corse tanya should let him have access

of corse im not saying max is innocent in all this, cos of corse it was him that had the affair with stacey and ruined his marriage but for all we know max might have changed i dont think he has been back long enough for us to judge that yet. but even if he hasnt changed, tanya and jack are still in the wrong as well, not necessarily cos of their relationship but cos tanya (not only buried max alive!) has led max on for the last 6 weeks making him think there was a chance and not letting him have any contact with his kids cos she didnt want to see him. and jack isnt much better, yesterday when max thumped him, which was wrong but understandable in the circumstances, was it really necessary of him to start beating max up? i think all 3 of them have behaved in the wrong imo. and one last point, yes max is just thinking about himself but i think the other 2 are also being quite selfish and only thinking about themselves as well

sorry for the essay and hopefully i made some sort of sense instead of just rambling on lol!

You're so right. Max was being nasty as he always gets. He's like a child moaning and nasty when he doesn't get his way. He was downright rude. I suppose it must have come as a shock to Max to find his wife no longer interested, they agreed she would text him when she would be able to get back with him. He got the message, did not know it was Abi who had sent it. Then to find out that your wife has found comfort in your brother's arms is something that would make most people's blood boil, especially if you have never had the best of relationships with your sibling. I am not defending Max, I have never liked him, but can understand his immediate reaction. I don't think that a lot of couples would have been able to rationally discuss this, emotions must run high.

I know what you mean, but seems to me Max thinks that what Tanya and Jack are doing is worse than him and Stacey.

Uuuhhh, who is that lady with the long hair that Sean was talking to and wanted to see her face? :hmm: Must admit, had not missed Sean and his OTT moodiness at all while he has been away. Awful to think this is going to go on until the end of this year.

i actually felt more sorry for max last night than i did for tanya. tanya was really horrible to abi. i still think tanyas just thinking of herself in all of this, it seems to me like she doesnt care what the kids think and whether theyre unhappy

Dot's face when Max said about Tanya and Jack was pure heartbreak

Claire: I feel dizzy all day
Stacey: So its not permanent

I just think that Tanya is reacting to Abi the way she is behaving,, i do not think it had any thing to do with her being selfish and not carryin g about her kids,,I think she is just getting tired of FIGHTING,,:searchme:

GANG,,, is it just me ,, but do people on EE tend to announce good and bad news to all who will listen in the Vic ????For example : Max spilled the beans on Tanya and Jack at the Vic last night,, remember when Martin told every one about Sonia being a lesbo,, in the Vic,, etc,,,:hmm: :searchme: And poor Keith blabbing to every one about the lottery ticket ??

My guess is that it's Whitney and she turns out to be Bianca's mysterious benefactor.

Thanks for clearing this up for me, had sleepless nights not knowing whether it was common knowledge by now who has got the ticket (not) .
Interesting thought though that the mysterious benefactor might be the ticket finder. :hmm:

Max has never been in my good books, but he is behaving very childish. He is nasty and won't change. Being all horrible to Stacey, again. You're not good enough for my son and all that bla bla.:wall: He is like a broken record. No point in bringing him back like this.

five numbers is a nice amount for any average person.. but if it was for the Jacksons it would be a small fortune ( I wish that benefactor would pay Pat back all that money that Bianca has been sponging off of her )

Omg I agree with ya DG.. he is a nasty piece of work,, Jack has been calm thruout all of this, and Max keeps yammering on and on like you said a broken record.. as if people did not "hear" him the first time
Yea going up to Stacey saying what he did was uncalled for ,if he was truly going to change he would never have said those things.

When I said five numbers I meant five lotto numbers not a sum of money in five figures.

The prize for five numbers on Saturday's lotto was £1,032.

isn't whitney too young to cash in a lottery ticket? plus you dont just walk into a shop and collect that amount, dont you have to go to the National Lottery/Camelot?

Perdita
01-07-2008, 19:53
If your prize is up to £75, you can claim it in cash from any National Lottery retailer. All you've got to do is give them your winning ticket to validate through their Lottery terminal. The terminal will then produce a validation slip which will show the value of your prize. Check this against the amount paid out and return it to the retailer.

At their discretion, all retailers can pay prizes up to £200 in cash. Some National Lottery retailers are authorised to pay prizes of up to £500. National Lottery Post Offices will pay out prizes of up to £10,000, though prizes over £500 will be paid by cheque.

Anything above £10,000 must be claimed in person from a National Lottery Regional Centre and will be paid by cheque (no cash is held on these premises).

If you match all six main numbers, or five plus the bonus number, please call The National Lottery Line immediately for assistance in claiming your prize. Ring 0845 9 100 000 (calls normally charged at local rate in the UK).

To claim any prize above £500, you will have to complete a Claim Form and give proof of your identity. If you are claiming a large prize, additional checks on your winning ticket may be conducted.

All National Lottery prizes must be claimed by 11.00pm, 180 days after the winning draw. You can also claim your winnings by post. Send your winning ticket and the completed Claim Form to this address: The National Lottery, Accounts Dept., P.O. Box 287, Watford WD1 8TT

Yes, the minimum age is 16. Strange you can't vote for the leader of your country until you are 18 and I think you now need to be 18 to buy alcohol (or is it still in the planning stages?) but you can gamble at 16.

Must get confused with the rules in Germany on buying booze, you can buy beer and wine at 16 but spirits only at 18. I think it might be smoking where the legal age is to be raised to 18. :D
