i really cant wait until someone wipes that smarmy grin off of archies face
why is he doing that?? seriously why would a man what to destroy his daughters??? he already told Ronnie her daughter was dead and then telling Roxy he called Sean when he didn't.. WHY????
Because he is a control freak and this is a perfect way to control the lives of his daughters. Only my opinion.

Mind you, even if Archie had phoned Sean he wouldn't have got the message as he didn't have his phone on. Mo was trying to phone him and he didn't pick up her messages. So he wouldn't have been at the birth anyway.

But we don't know when he turned of his phone.. did he turn if off when he went to the club.. remember.. Sean had just left the pub when Roxy went into labour so he could still have had is phone on

I liked the scenes with Sean and Stacey
Archie is terrible i hope someone wipes the smug off his face soon

Yeah it was sweet and funny when sean was telling stacy about when stacey was a baby
i really cant wait until someone wipes that smarmy grin off of archies face
I agree, I really wanna slap him!!!

Christian (John Partridge) is probably the only decent actor on EE.. and yes Lea I agree he is YUMMY to look at, love his arms,, have U ever seen him in CATS,, whoo....
It was a great episode,,I felt so bad for Sean,he had to over hear what his wife and Christian said..
Archie has got it coming !!! And it won't be a moment too soon,,
Who wants to take turns slapping the doody out of Suzy ?? my gawd I really do not like her,
Also who is really paying attention to Tony,Bianca and Whitney?? I talk to my partner when they come on I am bored silly with those 3,, where are all the other kids????:searchme:
So I presume Libby has already been accepted to Oxford ? :hmm:
Looks like Cullum dropped his dad in a mess,, now if this person shows up and finds out that he does not own the Queen Vic LOL A little white lie yea right,,
Ah I love Roxy and Christian together... I said from the start that they would be fab as a couple and what he said "I love you Roxanne but not in the conventional way":wub: it was so sweet.. felt for Sean at the end.. He might be pig headed but he is still the Dad...

what on earth are christian and roxy playing at
what on earth are christian and roxy playing at
I think it is a perfect setup.. Sean is not stable and Roxy and christian love each other.. In fairness Roxy is just after having a baby and your emotion are all over the shop so she honestly believed that Sean was not coming back to her and the baby and Christian stepped in like a real man.. I love it
tammyy2j
20-11-2008, 10:00
I felt sorry for Sean - i liked Mo's talk with Sean in the park
Christian is so sweet but i feel his is going to get hurt also in this
Cant wait for someone to punch Suzy and Archie
Surely someone maybe Dot or Jane would be helping out Jack with the kids. You could tell Jack was worried about Roxy's baby.

I can't help feeling this set up is a bit unfair on both of them. Assuming Sean is out of the picture, some time, sooner or later, Roxy will want to find another man. She is not going to want to lead a celibate life. What then happens to Christian? You could also say, vice-versa.

ive had a gay best mate for 26 years and no matter how my emotions were running i wouldnt have him has an acting father to my child it just wouldnt be right
Can somebody please explain to me why the people in soaps are stood next to a house phone, use it to answer it and then use their mobile to make another call? I have noticed this for ages but it was so obvious last night when Whitney answered the house phone to take the call from Tiff's teacher and then phoned Tony from her mobile. They obviously don't have problems paying their mobile phone bills.
I have noticed that but I do it myself... It is cheaper to call someone on my mobile then to use the house phone... don't you get free calls/text if you top up regularly?
My Vodafone contract gives me free phone calls to other Vodafone numbers but hardly any of my friends have Vodafone and if I use it for business, I don't know what company the other party has a contract/pre-paid card with.
*-Rooney-*
21-11-2008, 15:01
maybe her mobile is a contract, therfore free minutes to call other people, or she didnt want to leave a trail on the phone bill etc
Did anyone else notice that when jane and her mum saw christian, and he said he had been shopping for his little girl, jane said shes hardly your little girl. then christian told them both all about the arrangement wioth roxy to bring up the baby and then jane said something about but dont you think amy needs her real dad - or something like that.
How did they find out the baby's name as it had only just been discussed yet they hadnt heard about christian being a father to the baby
Perhaps Roxy texted/phoned him?
*-Rooney-*
21-11-2008, 15:12
i think christian was at the hospital when they decided, im just unsure of how jane knows the name because christian didnt say it he refered to amy as my little girl

yeah but did christian honestly think that a verbal agreement with roxy when her emotions were still all over the place after giving birth was set in stone, and if he believed that sean was truley out of the picture then he must have been deluded

Yeah, I thought that. I love christian hes one of my favs, he moved to quickly trying to do everything, I know he was trying to do a nice thing. But Amy does need her dad, I felt really sorry for him, cos its got nothing to do with him being gay, its that act thats he already has a dad that wants to be there
*-Rooney-*
22-11-2008, 15:18
plus i think they threw this in too quickly, they always had christian a non commitment kind of guy, jumping from bed to bed, and had never shown any interest in having kids or adoption or anything like that then overnight hes father of the year - or trying to be, a little far fetched for me sorry
maybe if they had him showing some interest in being a dad earlier in the show then he saw this as his chance it would be a little more believeable
Yeah it was a bit quick but will all the stuff with his mother I coud kind of see it. And I can kinda see it now that maybe hes not happy and he does really want to settle down?
tammyy2j

So Max is home and throws Jack out
Abi really is a daddy's girl
I must admit i like the father - son relationship between Vinnie and Callum
As usual love the Heather/Shirley bits
is it just me or does Chelsea and Abi react the same way.. Chelsea is a spoilt brat and needs to get over herself.. big deal, her mum and dad kissed.. they are all grown up but she acts like it is the end of the world

totally and but annoying twats of characters
Where has Chelesa been lately? Was she away?
So did Lauren knock down Max cause she is acting really guilty :hmm:
Who owns Tanya's house cause didnt they sell the house and buy a house in France and also didnt Max buy the house from Ruby Allen not Tanya so how could she sell - sorry if this is a rant and i'm confusing anyone
parkerman
25-11-2008, 17:55
Jack bought the house...but you're right about them selling it to go to France. I'd forgotten about that. What happened with that sale?
Yeah I just watched it on the iplayer and im totally confused how who owns what and stuff!
So Jack lives with Ronnie now :hmm:
Jack bought the house...but you're right about them selling it to go to France. I'd forgotten about that. What happened with that sale?
I don't think it was Sold... they were selling it but had the house in France already so it is not Sold yet
I wonder what lucy is doing to get all this money :hmm:
I wonder what lucy is doing to get all this money :hmm:
Well if she uses her head it can be really easy.. ask people to give you there money for a week and say you are going to give them say 10 - 20% back.. she is making 1000 for Ian so she only gives away 100- 200 leaving her with a lot of money for herself
Riight, but I still dont uderstand what shes doing though
Riight, but I still dont uderstand what shes doing though

whats bianca up to??
It was cleaning wasnt it? well thats what they said
Why is Bianca so cagey if she is just cleaning though? She is always lying about her whereabouts these days. :hmm:
Why is Bianca so cagey if she is just cleaning though? She is always lying about her whereabouts these days. :hmm:
she is trying to get money for Whitney so she can't tell her why she is doing this extra work and she is suppose to be working for Ian but he is not paying her enough
I kept forgetting that Ian is Bianca's Uncle - she is so blessed :p
Bianca has taken another job as a cleaner to earn more money so she can throw a party for Whitney's birthday
parkerman
27-11-2008, 10:01
I presume she is doing agency cleaning. That man who keeps turning up is directing her to different jobs.

Bianca's dad was david wicks andhe was pete beales son making him half brother to ian
I can't always watch EE, why did Lucy have to raise £1000 for Ian to pay up for something? They obviously had a bet. And how did she get all that money?
Kinda of a bet.. Ian said if Lucy could raise 1000 quid in a week he would match it
JustJodi

Going by what she said to Bianca in the cafe when she handed over her money to Lucy, she's promising to pay it back + more. Presumably when Ian hands over the £1000 she'll give it all back plus whatever percentage she's promised them on top and have some over for herself.
My guess is that Ian wont keep his end of the deal. We saw in last night's percentage that he's obviously feeling the pinch - asking Christian to take a pay cut etc.

I HATE Tony,,, when is he going to be found out that he is a pervert,, and goes after very young girls,, hes one sick SOB:sick:
Does any one actually think that Lucy returned the money ???:hmm:
What did u guys think of what Lucas said to Denise ???,,' I AM NOT HAVING SEX AGAIN UNTIL I'M MARRIED" :rotfl:
Phil and Shirley......I am not even sure I understand what happened on this evening, ok I know they had some horizonal mambo, but the point in all of this was ?
Tony preying on Lauren is disgusting worst than him and Whitney :nono:
I love the scenes with Heather and Shirley - two of the best characters in EE at present
Tony preying on Lauren is disgusting worst than him and Whitney :nono:
How is it worse? Whitney was younger than Lauren when Tony started preying on her. Preying on both girls is equally sick in my opinion.
I agree, it does not matter what age, people like Tony should not be able to do what they are doing, to kids what ever age.

i so thought she was covering for bradders! not lauren!

Ooh what now..its obviously going to come out...
Christmas day perhaps?
.:SpIcYsPy:.
01-12-2008, 21:35
Whatever it stills sound like a load of rubbish even if it was Lauren..
Like she would have driven that car.. She would have stalled or something!
And why did she keep going, "I know who did it" sort of thing, like it wasn't her..
Well wasnt really a shock, but it was still bloody good :cheer:
CrazyLea
01-12-2008, 21:48
I dunno I was thinking? Cos if Darren had already started it up, can you leave it in gear unattended? :p Can tell I'm not great at driving . But then you need to release off the clutch to get it to go don't ya? Although that just be the car I learn in haha.. Cos it's easy enough to put ya foot on the accelerator
Well I dunno either but my parents have been leaving the car like on so the ice melts :p
StarsOfCCTV
01-12-2008, 22:10
They've probably left it in neutral, leaving a car in first and taking your foot off the gas would make it stall. Also tut tut tell them to use antifreeze! Its quicker and you kill the environment less. :p
I just watched the hit and run on youtube and it doesn't sound like the cars gone above 20. How she managed to change gears, remember the hand break and switch on the lights though with out any lessons I don't know!

01-12-2008, 22:11
knew it was Lauren still good to see it finally coming out, am liking the scenes with Tanya in prison, starting to get some attitude on her.
*-Rooney-*
01-12-2008, 22:32
i missed it tonight so was it lauren then - i thought it was, said that from the start
Ok it was Lauren but why would Tanya give up on 3 kids to save one? and surely lauren been a minor would have not gotten as sever punishment as Tanya?
How did she drive like that? and why is she pretending like she never did it?
Loved the scenes with Shirley and Heather... uh oh.. the look on Suzy's face.. can't wait for that to explode (literally I want her to explode and be gone)
tammyy2j
02-12-2008, 10:31
So its Lauren not that it wasnt obvious
I dont think Max would want to see his daughter Lauren punished, he would probably feel bad that it came to that.
I'm so glad Shirley is staying love her with Heather
Suzy's face was priceless :cheer:

Ian was hilarious... his little sweat shop making posters :rotfl:
 Callum mentioned his brother last night. Presumably we'll have the joy of meeting him sometime in the future. I hope he's not as dull and wooden as Callum is.
I don't know how the Tanya/Max/Lauren storyline will unravel. It's not down to Max to drop any charges so even when he finds out that it was Lauren that ran him over I can't see what he can do about it? :searchme: The Police will want to prosecute someone for attempted murder and, with Tanya's confession plus Stacy's statement I can't see how Tanya can get out of it as, obviously they wont tell the Police who really did it. Unless Lauren cracks and shouts out "It was me" when her Mum is sent down for 10 years!

Surely the police would need evidence rather than just Tanya's statement - if Tanya WAS guilty, the police would have found her fingerprints when they found Jack's on the steering wheel. Also, would Stacey's statement stand up in court bearing in mind the history between her, Max and Tanya?

Just because Lauren was holding her cell phone at the end, does not mean that Tanya was talking to her??? Ok I know she must be the culprit Tanya is covering, but surely it will start to unravel, cos Lauren will not be able to stand it for very long, she obviously HATES Max....

That is what I was thinking too. Rather too convenient for her to be pregnant and she is definitely not the maternal type.
Suzy is so faking it.. I don't think she is pregnant at all.. she wanted Heather to find that test in her shopping basket...
*-Rooney-*
03-12-2008, 12:11
yeah shes the type that if she did get preg she would be down the abortion clinic the next day, she has already told shirley she isnt interested in kids.
she doesnt even have time for her nieces or oscar

I just watched last night's episode on the I Player - am I the only one who loves the character of Suzy? I think she's brilliant and I can't wait for this new 'pregnancy' storyline to develop.. I also think she's faking it.
Ronnie and Jack could work well as a couple, but I wish they would actually get together now.. they always seem to be making progress together but then it's back to square one with them again.
Sean's comments weren't very nice at all. He may have been grateful that Amy is surviving but he could have sympathised with the couple that had just lost their child
I thought it was much better than Monday's episode.

05-12-2008, 14:01
Two questions arising out of last night's episode...
1. Why is Archie nowhere to be seen now? The baby was at death's door, but no Archie or Peggy. And why has he given up trying to get shot of Sean?
2. How did Heather manage to make an instant cup of cocoa like that? They just walked through the door, Shirley sat down and Heather handed her a cup of cocoa...er....

Jim back and they do not hesitate to put the character in a negative light. This of course due to his past. John Bardon is so brave.
So how is the actor now, is he alright?
He is like you saw him, still recovering.
So so how Jim was last night, thats exactly like John is now, cos I wasnt too sure
Caught up with the omnibus edition yesterday and must say that Suzy's little dog would not have been able to produce a 'whoopsie' the size of what it was meant to have done. No Christmas at the Beale's house this year :hmm: Can't see Jane letting that happen

wow it was a great episode, Patsy and Shona ( as Bianca and Whitney) were excellent, it showed Bianca is not such an airhead after all.. I thought the guy that played Tony was LOUSY:thumbsdow, at least he is leaving EE ?? Right ???
Lauren was probably next on his list....:nono:

oh my what a episode last night! brilliant acting throughout .....cant until ricky finds out..i hope ricky and bianca get back togeather
I echo everything that has been said already about last nights episode.
The bit that got me was when Bianca mentioned Tiffany, Tony said he hadn't touched her and Bianca said "but you would have". That sent a chill through me.
That is what I felt too... I just kept thinking.. she is right.. if they had married and when Tiffany was only enough... creepy!!
I just don't want this to be all about Lauren.. yeah he was lining her up but nothing happened and Whitney is the one who needs support more than anyone right now

yeah cos if whitney was just being evil and vindictive cos she had a crush on him and lied she wouldnt set it back away to when she was 12, maybe 6 month ago but not 3 yr ago when she was 12
Everything will start to make sense to bianca now - about the way whitney was acting that time when she wouldnt leave her room or talk to anyone
Another thing that drove it home for me how serious this storyline is was when Bianca explained to Whitney that it was RAPE, even though Whitney consented to it, because she was in love with him. Tony committed a very serious crime.
He can't be seen to get away with it. What message would that send out to any youngsters who may be watching and are going through the same thing themselves?
He has got to be punished.
Eastender did a great job with this storyline and I hope we get to see the aftermath, the punishment and tony been brought to justice...

I know im glad that was brought up, cos I think sometimes people can forget about what different things mean at certain ages

One thing want to ad is that Bianca wasn't very pedagogical about her approach to Whitney. I hope she gets someone in who knows how to speak to victims of child abuse. It was a bit to confronting for my taste.
Brilliant storyline and acting though.
I think Bianca was shocked and just wanted to get it into Whitney head that is was wrong.. I am sure they will have a counceller or someone to help here

yeah bianca had just heard that the man she had planned to marry and spend the rest of her life with had been mentally and emotionally abusing her daughter from the tender age of 12 which in any country is rape, she wanted whitney to get this perfect little idea out of her head about her and tony being in love - He abused her, and the sooner she realises the better.
bianca must be going thru it all too thinking she let a paedophile into her home and allowed him to do that and never noticed anything
One thing want to ad is that Bianca wasn't very pedagogical about her approach to Whitney. I hope she gets someone in who knows how to speak to victims of child abuse. It was a bit to confronting for my taste.
I think that nobody is able to do be pedagogical with anybody after just having found out that the boyfriend has been abusing a family member. It would have been a very natural reaction.

another brilliant episode!!! my heart broke for the kids who didnt understand what was going on,
I would like to think that families get more support and advice from the police in these cases than was shown tonight. A police officer should have told Whitney about the consequences of her talking to them and those of not talking to them, in a sensitive manner. Bianca shouting at Whitney is understandable under the circumstances but not helping Whitney who is still in love with Tony and won't yet believe that he never loved her but abused her.
another cracking episode. Eastenders is on top form at the moment. :cheer:

tonights was just as good as tuesdays if not better! great acting all round just like it used to be.
What a performance by Patsy Palmer tonight. I was actually crying during that scene in the living room where she broke down seeing everyone's reaction to her telling them about how she and Tony first met.
Bad Wolf
11-12-2008, 21:28
little tiff deserves credit too, as does liam, the kids reactions were fantastic, the writers have clearly done a huge amount of research about this topic and are exploring it from all the angles- the inner nucleus of the family, and the shockwaves that it is having on the wider community- ian and phil joining forces for example.
jane was brilliant with lauren, and max didnt go as mental as i thought he would- he was actually shown listening to his daughter for once

i felt sorry for liam when he was sitting on the stairs hearing his mum cryng about how she was a terrible mum and all her kids would be better off in care (or words to that effect) when he was covering his ears.
How old is liam meant to be in the show, since he understands whats happened.
.:SpIcYsPy:.
11-12-2008, 21:45
I really kept holding back the tears when Liam was on-screen.. Knowing what was going on and trying to care for his siblings! Amazing stuff once again :)
Phil has got a short memory though. After what happened with Stella and Ben he out of everyone should have realised that Lucas wouldn't necessarily have known there was anything vile about Tony because he worked with him.
If they don't believe that Lucas knew nothing then they must think that Bianca, Pat and Ricky were all covering for him as well.
*-Rooney-*
11-12-2008, 22:26
I think its more because lucas employed an ex con to work with kids - sure he wasnt put away for being a paedophile but he did assault a teen, so working with teens isnt exactly the ideal job.
They are all just being protective parents acting as any parents would have on finding out that about a neighbour.
Libby just started to judge whitney from what i saw, she herself was abused by her father but it wasnt sexually it was physically, she should be more sympathetic
This is typical of soaps though, people have a very short memory concerning their own experiences, hence Phil and Libby reacting the way they did.
I think its more because lucas employed an ex con to work with kids - sure he wasnt put away for being a paedophile but he did assault a teen, so working with teens isnt exactly the ideal job.
But they were all taken in by Tony. They all knew that he was in prison for assaulting someone for trying it on with Whitney. I remember when he was released from prison he was treated like a hero in the Vic and Phil was giving him drinks "on the ouse"!
Knowing he had a criminal record no-one then objected when he started work at the Youth Centre. Tony hoodwinked and deceived the whole community not just the family he was living with.

Well said... I was shouting at Phil when he said to Lucas "I would have spotted something" (or words to that effect), What about Stella, you let her in your home and you hadn't a clue... and to Ian.. he is one to talk too.. his son locks him up and yet he accepts him back just so steven can lock Lucy away.... that is abuse too!!
Patsy again was amazing... I was in tears when she talking to the police after they asked how she met Tony and again when Liam was hugging her..:(

12-12-2008, 11:44
I still think that shouting at Whitney is not a great reaction. She needs to know that her relationship with Tony was not good. But not like this surely. It is like the Stockholm syndrome, where prisoners even can get romantically involved with their kidnappers. And even when they are released stand up for their kidnappers. It all sounds contradictive but that is how our coping mechanism works in these circumstances.
I think it is valuable to base storylines on real issues. Kudos to EE.
I think that is another point the EE are getting across, shouting doesn't help...
We are looking at 2 very heartbroken women.. one who was betrayed when her lover slept with her daughter and the other is been told that her love was wrong in the sickest sense...
Whitney knew she was betraying Bianca and yes it was wrong but finding out that what she thought was real was just one be lie and she was been abused, not loved.. she is still in love with Tony as is Bianca.. it is going to be tough on them both...

true and the adult should know better but this is Bianca.. can you expect her to react any other way so it is staying true to her character so I think EE is doing fantastic on this issue..
Fantastic last two episode. I really hope Patsy is nominated for an award this year (instead of the likes of Lacey Turner AGAIN). She has really impressed me and yesterday was heartbreaking to see. Her return has proved an asset to EE so far and I think the young actresses who play Whit and Tiff have proved to be as well.
Phil and Ian are such hyprocrites but I guess it is the mob mentality kicking in and it was good to see Denise cut them down to size with logic.
I totally agree that EE have done a good job on this. Focusing on the impact on ALL the inner family as well like Liam and Tiff.
EE should focus more on other characters and stop using them as fodder for the Branning/Mitchell families. It has been a nice break to have little Branning/Mitchell involvment this past few episodes.
I love eastenders at the moment :cheer: Its great.
Great acting and brillantly done
I watched the Omnibus on sunday at all of it was brilliant. the actting was top notch especially Bianca, she was fab.
And Little Tiffany when she was talking to the social worker! What a cracking little actress.

I dunno. Sounded like he might be though.. surely they wouldn't have bothered mentioning the whole Dot wanting him at home if he wasn't thinking about it? Or thought about it.. I dunno though.

Thanks guys! If you hadn't mentioned Aunt Sal I would have never known there was an episode on Wednesday! - I missed it.. but just watched it after watching the two Christmas ones..
What is this?! Ghost of the Christmas Past or something.. Jeez. Didn't like the disappearing acts but was nice to see Ian change however!
I feel so sorry for Sean.. I just want to give him the biggest hug ever..
One thing I HATE about EE is how they ruin every relationship on the Square, just let it be Sean's baby and be happy?!

Looool Suzy! She just made me laugh, what an exit (that's if she's not coming back)..
'Bunch of losers'..
i'm really going to miss Suzy, she was quality :D
the fact she got axed becuase she wasn't liked by the public is stupid! she's not a likeable character! doesn't mean she isn't entertaining!
funny though as my mom hates her and kept saying "i wish someone would piggin push her down the stairs"

Suzy is fantastic. I loved her! I really hope she's back... saying Ben was made from 'weak sperm' and "oh sorry Jack didn't see you there... you goin' out with vinegar lips again?" :D I am going to miss her.
I thought the two episodes were rather average - definetly not as good as last year. I felt the acting was stronger last year. Though Roxy and Sean did put in good performances, I felt that I couldn't feel sorry for Sean, even though I really wanted too.
Sean and Roxy were brilliant.. Did Archie really want to stop it? I wished Ronnie would just have left them to it, Sean and Roxy would be together now.. and Merry christmas ma! Delighted Nick is back :cheer::cheer:
I know, I started to wonder did Archie want it to stop, I mean he must have done, I just wonder when it all changed for him

I don't really understand why Archie paid Suzie £10,000 in the first place when he could have exposed Sean himself.

because the whole mitchell clan (including his beloved Roxy) would have cast him out of the family for doing something so evil.

I know but I he doesnt want Roxy to think bad of him. I mean Roxy was keeping it a secret and in the end she told Archie and he acted on her side.
Plus I think he changed his mind in the end

Wasn't she brilliant, think she comes back in tonights episode but Im sure that will be the end. Shame she's such a scheming madam 'Your Hot Sean, Scorching' loved every minute of it. She really brought the whole Mitchell clan down a peg or two. Then Stacey having a go at them too.
Poor old Sean. Brilliant acting. Christian's vest-hilarious stuff, loving him. Jim and Dot so sweet. And then the return of Nick, wow what a christmas day, awesome stuff.

Brilliant episodes yesterday! Suzy was excellent, she made me laugh out loud. I forgot what Phil said to her when he pushed her down onto the sofa. Does anyone remember? I feel sorry for Sean, and usually I can't stand him.
what on earth is shirley playing at burning ten grand!? phil will go ape ****! is she retarded or something!? i can't comprehend why she would do that!!!!???

Yeah..why didn't she give the 10 grand back to Phil? ... or keep it for herself and say Suzy must have obviously took it :D

I have another question. Why did Jack demand the paternity tests and then try and keep Roxy from saying who the real father was?
I think Shirley knew that the money meant more to Suzy than anything else and just wanted her to see it burn infront of her. She's then left with nothing.
I never warmed to Suzi's character at all, usually with someone nasty, like Janine forinstance there is still something there to like about them but, with suzy I couldn't find any redeeming qualities there at all.
Felt so sorry for Sean - all he wanted was his own family. Archie seems a bit over-obsessed to me. I don't think he was living with the girls when they were in Ibiza so why object so strongly to Roxy moving half hour down the road to Dagenham?
