It was said earlier in the year that Michael would be out of Tue show for 5 months.
He'll need time to rest and probably has more holidays owing to him which he'll take then. Technically we don't even know his contract's even been renewed again or not, he and the show like to keep us on our toes on Ross's fate all the time.

Michael said in a more recent interview that his contract was up the day he leaves for Everest and he will finish filming the day before he goes and start again the day after he comes back. The fact that his contract ends before he leaves but they want him back must mean he has some sort of contract.
Oh boy
*puts on curmudgeons hat*
I know we humans seek to do things that are beyond and explore, but I would say Everest is pretty much explored. All anyone is doing up there now is walking over the refrigerated corpses of those that failed before them and leaving more rubbish that the people that live there have to go up and remove. I wouldnt mind these types of people if it werent for those that try and sail the world in a leaky toilet then expect us to pay for it when they need to be saved.
The worst are those pea rents who let their young kids/ adults go as a its a life experience, well its not really if they never come back as they have become part of some glazier.
Just watch Everest the movie, it dosent quite get the truth but it at least makes clear how if dont dash down the mountain and ignore others suffering you will die, that was a warm moment to watch. :ninja:
Im rambling again best ignore me :D

Michael has confirmed he will be back filming the day after he is back! So he won't be off for 5 months.
He explains: “As it just so happens the date we leave for Everest was the end of my current contract at Emmerdale. So they’ve written me out for a little while, but I finish filming the day before we go to Everest, and then they want me back filming the day after I come back!

Well it does seem a bit strange that all of them characters are at the farm, Cain is now separated from Moira and Pete has stayed away from her.

I still get the feeling that Michael will leave the show in the next year, Ross is very much a character that will keep on leaving and making returns. A bit like Cain was, IMO they have made Ross even darker than Cain was in his heyday. It does show how good Michael Parr is at playing Ross, he has shot someone and tried to kill his own brother but he still has a lot of fans that would be devastated if eh left the show. Aslong as its a really good exit storyline and the door is left open for a return then I don't think it would be too bad.

I just hope that James' death actually brings the brother closer together, making Adam James' son has been a complete waste of time so far. They are never even seen talking to each other never mind bonding.

Yep, that seems likely, I can't see any other way of him leaving after James dies unless he runs off or something. It would also give Ross a bit of comeuppance for his past actions by being locked up for something he didn't do (hopefully he didn't do) for a few months. It would be interesting to see if prison changes him at all, obviously if your theory is true he wouldn't be in for long but it could still leave an impact.

I liked your theory about Emma framing Ross so she could keep Moses. That would be an original storyline.

I remember someone posting a preview on here a couple of months ago that had a snippet about Ross and Emma. It said something along the lines of them being very much alike but someone replaces him in her affections and it could have consequences. That seems obvious to me that its about Moses and with the news about James it could all fit in.

Michael Parr has recently filmed a part for an upcoming movie "Silent Hill".

For him to do this, i'm not expecting a lot of scenes in Emmerdale coming up. Even with James' exit. Sad really that ED are wasting a talented actor who won a lot of awards for the show last year.

He only did this for a mate, I don't think it interfered much with Emmerdale, but yes, he certainly isn't appearing in the show as much now. I think they took on board fans were getting fed up of him being involved in every storyline, everything going.

Yeah and since he has been in the background IMO the show has been rubbish. I do like other characters of course but I just hate the storylines, splitting Lisa and Zak up, Cain and desperate Charity, James and Moira (yawnnn) and Belle needs a happier storyline. The only storyline that sounds promising is James' death, I want to see all the brothers interact more.

Yeah, I had a quick look on facebook earlier and it looks as though the Christmas episodes have already been filmed. It will obviously be centred around James' death, on another forum someone sent me a link of pictures of Gillain Kearney (Emma) filming and she was buying as the person described "Stuff for a murder".

Emmerdale fans are outraged over Charity and Ross's dognapping plot
It's been branded "disgraceful".
Emmerdale has been slammed by its viewers and a charity over its dognapping plot.
Tonight's episode saw Charity Dingle (Emma Atkins) and Ross Barton (Michael Parr) discuss stealing a dog for money, with Ross describing it as "operation Snatch Wolfie".
It's led to Dog Theft Action complaining to the soap directly. "Complaint emailed to #emmerdale expressing concerns about the latest storyline on #dogtheft #irresponsible very disappointed," they wrote on Twitter.
And the charity weren't the only ones angry about the plot. One fan claimed it meant the show was going to "trivialise the issue of dog theft", while another branded the storyline as "disgraceful".
"Seriously? Dognapping scam? All these dog thefts and heartbroken owners and Ross telling Charity there's money to be made," wrote one viewer.
Digital Spy has reached out to the show for comment.
Charity and Ross discussed the scheme when she quizzed him on how much cash he had in his wallet.
She laughed when he told her it was from a "dognapping scam", leading him to say he was serious: "You've no idea how much money can be made from these rat-faced pedigree things."
However, tomorrow's episode will see the duo's plan backfire spectacularly when a Rottweiler turns on them and leaves them trapped on top of a climbing frame.
It leads to Charity confiding in Ross that she's planning to leave and take Moses with her. He reacts angrily, but it's not long until they're kissing. That is, until Cain arrives and she quickly drops Ross for the man she has true feelings for.
Emmerdale continues tomorrow (September 27) at 7pm on ITV.

James Barton may soon have to face the dangerous wrath of Emma as Moira Dingle seems set to let slip his sordid secret in Emmerdale.
While Emma and James excitedly anticipate their move into Wylie’s Farm, Moira is drowning her sorrows in the Woolpack following Cain’s announcement that he and Charity are moving away together.
Worse for wear, Moira is taken back to the farm by Ross and, as they talk, Moira raises Ross’ suspicions with the things she is saying.
Is she about to drop the drunken revelation that she and James slept together and James confessed his love?

After last years amazing Inside Soap Award results. Michael Parr is rather neglected this year. Sad!
But it just echoes what I have been saying. Ross is now a "nothing character". He's rarely on screen and for the bits he is, they turn him into a joke.
I'm really sorry for Michael Parr. He is IMO the shows best actor that steals every scene he's in. He won the show tons of awards last year and this is how they award him and his character.
I have said this for the majority of the year.
They have done a complete u-turn on him this year which is really damaging him overall as a character, not progression.
Ross was introduced to be the next Cain, tough and hard. Loveable Rogue - Michael Parr called him to start with.
Then, last year, they turned him into a would-be killer. I can just about believe that under the circumstances, Ross was at his lowest so I do believe that writing.
However, this year he has become truely pathetic. What a hardman he is....
- Scared of needles/injections
- Scared of clowns
- Scared of Jimmy King
- Scared of Dan Spencer
I wonder what else will be revealed of this man's fears! Ross hasn't been shortlisted for Best Bad Boy, but considering the above I'm not surprised.
Sorry, Michael, you are great but the writers are becoming your worst enemy on the show!

Ross was never a loveable rogue. He started as a nasty crim and has continued down the same path. Russ may be a wannabe Cain, but he is just an incompetent thug who has left a long path of criminal fiascos in his wake!

After last years amazing Inside Soap Award results. Michael Parr is rather neglected this year. Sad!
But it just echoes what I have been saying. Ross is now a "nothing character". He's rarely on screen and for the bits he is, they turn him into a joke.

Oh come on he was always going to be up against it this year seeing as he hasn't had all that much screen time. He got those awards last year deservedly but he hasn't had a lot to do this year so obviously he wont be shortlisted
I think you need to be a little bit more patient. Ross needed to be a background character for a bit and we know a big story is coming
And he doesn't need to be a bad boy all the time. We have seen more of his silly cheeky side lately but the they have tried to do light hearted stuff more aswell with others. NOT just Ross

At the start of the year I conceded in the fact Ross was going to have little air time. That's not what bothers me. What we have seen of Ross is.
What do we do for next year's storylines? Stick to how we knew Ross last year or how he is this year. He looks like Ross. He talks like Ross. But this year Ross is not Ross.
He is an imposter. Whilst the real Ross is.on a break. Problem with that is a lot of damage will be done for the fly by viewers.

This is such an overreaction, for a start Ross isn't scared of Dan he just feels guilt as its his mate who he works with everyday. The Jimmy thing was also nothing, he hardly ran away expecting a punch. I think anyone getting caught listening to there neighbours having sex would run and feel embarrassed. Also how is a fear of clowns and needles a weakness? Everyone has phobias, some of the strongest people I know have the weirdest fears I have heard of. A quiet year does not ruin or change a character, Ross will always be a bad boy, just be patient and wait for a storyline. He has been on screen much more these past few weeks and has the James storyline coming up soon.

Really? I thought the psycho Ross who shot Robert and hung Pete off a viaduct was an impostor. This Ross is cheeky, relatively light hearted but he still has his mischievous side and his scams. From what I can see you're the only one who is worried about his character, I think its improved.

I think you need to remember what Ross was actually like when he joined the show, he done a lot of small jobs and scams but he was mainly just cheeky and sarcastic. Pretty much like he is now, the Ross last year was a result of his affair with Debbie and his brother almost killing him, he was messed up and now he's moving on.

Why accuse me of an overreaction? I'm just posting how I feel about the writing of Ross and the show. With all due respect you KNOW i defended Michael and Ross when I was able to. This so happened to be when a certain now Exterminated poster was around.
I will defend Ross again when I will be able to HOWEVER right now, I cannot do this! I am a Ross fan which is why I am passionate about the writing of his character and continue to post news articles when and where I can about him and Michael Parr.
As for your response and rationale - I'm sorry but you have to ask yourself WHY have the writers done this. In the space of 10 months I have counted and written Ross act in cowardly manner FOUR times. Why Ross? Why not do it to Cain - why not do it to Pete? They have chosen Ross for a reason. A reason I cannot fathom. As I said before, they are obviously trying to change Ross' character. Not develop. The Ross this year is nothing like last year. Sorry. That's my say on it at the moment.

I agree with you here. What we saw when he first arrived was Part one. A skeleton of body work. That then continued quite fluently into what we saw last year. Where he was quite rightly "Best Bad Boy".
However this year where is the bad boy? What is he doing? Running away, revealing phobias and things that scare him. Once again It's a complete U-turn. Nonsensical writing to what they were aiming for. Sadly, rightly so - no "Best Bad Boy" nomination.

I think alot of people thought that Ross has been ruined as a character by Kate Oates last year so the new producer is probably trying to make him more human again. I have also been a bit shocked and have questioned stuff that has involved Ross recently but I don't think iot will last. I am pretty sure that soon enough we will see Ross at his best again.

I don't get how he is a wannabe Cain anyway? Cain used to kill animals and hit his daughter when he was younger. Of course Ross is a thug but he has a heart deep down but only certain people can see it. Ross is way more exciting than the current version of Cain.
SMH with disbelief.
Ross running away from a dog now. Another one to add to the list!
Alright, no doubt even Cain would have been worried however once again as I say quite a lot, the writing and editing for Ross is different to how is "predecessor" is. I don't think we would have seen Cain just run off - he probably would have thrown the dog a bone and end scene. Then Cain would have somehow come back to the village. Why do we need to see the inbetween for Ross?

Emmerdale are insane, Charity and Ross have 100x the amount of chemistry that Cain/Charity have. The scene tonight when Ross admitted that Moses makes him want to be a better person was great, Charity seemed shocked and impressed. They have potential....

In regards to Ross, maybe at first but why would he stick with her after Pete and Debbie split up and got divorced?
Whilst Kate Oates was still in charge, the idea was for Ross to develop into a fatherly figure. That was meant to be the character development that I was hoping for. Sadly, when the new producer took over it, all went horribly wrong.
Michael has also explained that they are very passionate people who want what the other person has but what they have in their lives stops them. It's quite a tragic love story really which not a lot of people are understanding. However, I like it. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger" and all that.

Ross and Charity have a lot more chemistry than Charity and Cain and Ross and Debbie.
Maybe they are testing the waters to see how the viewers react to Ross and Charity. There have been snippets and seemed to be building then they broke Cain and Moira up which viewers aren't happy with for Charity to turn her attention to Cain.
I loved how Ross spoke about his son tonight. That is one development I have loved this year.
I actually really like Ross and Charity scenes. They are good together. Cain and Moira will get back together I'm pretty certain

SO how do you see the Ross/Debbie thing? What makes it a tragic love story?
As I mentioned. Michael Parr/Charley Webb have explained R&D have so many similarities (passions, job, personality) and if that was it, they would be perfect for each other. However, they have another side to them which is polar opposite. Ross likes (or liked now) living life to the full and "screw the consequences", whereas Debbie had to live carefully for her children.
It was so obvious that, had Kate Oates stayed in the show and Charley Webb not go on maternity leave, Ross and Debbie would have worked through this and found that lifestyle balance.
Now, I've just typed this up. Maybe this was the end story for Kate. Maybe when she found out that Charley was going on maternity leave - she might have just thought she might as well leave. Unless Iain is thinking on the same lines as Kate. Maybe he is, maybe that's the reason Michael Parr isn't utilised as much this year. It could be Kate told him she knew Ross was getting heavily commented on featuring on a lot of storylines.

Yeah, I get what you're saying, on paper Ross and Debbie look great but IMO the chemistry is missing.

I disagree. It's to start with passion and similarities. They then over come their adversities to form an actual strong relationship. That is their chemistry. That is what works for them. They both have a similar goal. To be together.

Thats not chemistry its the direction the writer wanted them to go in, they weren't exciting. Debbie always looked bored and miserable and Ross wasn't much better. If he wanted her that much, he would be out there now chasing her not making passes at her mum (and then look gutted when she chooses someone else). I know you will disagree but they almost used to bore me to tears, no spark their.

There is a lot more to chemistry than making goo-goo eyes and saying "i love you" with a bit of hand holding. Whenever I read a certain fandom thread on another board, it's all I ever hear about and i just smh.
Quickly defined chemistry relationship: "In the context of relationships, chemistry is a simple "emotion" that two people get when they share a special connection. It is not necessarily sexual. It is the impulse making one think "I need to see this [other] person again" - that feeling of "we click"."
This is what I'm saying. They have the same passions. The same interests. They would be perfect for each other if that was "the end". This is a soap however, so Kate obviously thought, liets make it difficult for these two to get together and throw obstacles in their way. Every relationship in the world has them. The problem is as I say, this is a soap that churns hundreds of episodes a year, so they have to magnify to the extreme. Debbie and Ross will get there! It takes time and patience.

Again I know what you mean but Debbie looked no happier in Ross' presence than she was in Pete's. yes they are both mechanics but there personalities are hardly similar, Ross is witty, sarcastic and he loves to be the centre of attention. Debbie is the complete opposite. I didnt want to see them declaring love to eachother every scene, I just wanted them to look happy together like Ross/Donna used to.

There are plenty of scenes online where Debbie is happy to see Ross. On top of my head, when Ross came back from the "bogs of Ireland", Christmas episode. Ross comes back to her door and tells her he loves her.
Sadly, that is down to the way Charley plays Debbie. Plus Debbie overall as a character. Ross has even described Debbie as "mardy". Some people just don't smile a lot. Doesn't mean they're not happy.

You have to admit though, Emmerdale haven't really helped their case by showing Ross getting close to charity.

This will just be another obstacle that this soap opera will give to them to get together, I hope.

Bit more news about Michael Parr's up coming fundraiser:
Description
Emmerdale actor Mike Parr is throwing a charity fundraiser on Friday 7th October from 7pm and guess what – you’re invited.
Mike will be joined by his friends, family and Emmerdale cast members, who will witness him auction off a selection of fabulous prizes, including some that money simply cannot buy.
The charity in question is The Steve Prescott Foundation, which has raised millions of pounds to support charities which were close to the late Rugby legends heart.
These include Try Assist, which raises funds to assist Rugby League players affected by serious injury and The Christie, whose aim is to create a future without cancer.
On the 13th October, Mike will be swapping on-screen soap drama for the challenge of a lifetime – a gruelling two-week trek to the Base Camp of the almighty Everest in Nepal.
The trip is a fitting way to raise funds for the charity, as it everything The Steve Prescott Foundation is about, which is summed up perfectly by their slogan – ‘’what the mind believes, the body achieves.’’
So, what can guests expect on the night? Well, after a swanky cocktail and canape reception, the auction kicks off at 8:30pm, where the highest bidder will walk away with the enviable ‘Party with Parr’ package.
This includes accommodation in a five-star hotel, dinner in one of the city’s most exclusive restaurants and then a VIP booth at Oracle with complimentary drinks for up to four people – all in the company of the dashing Mr Parr himself!
Speaking about the event and his involvement with the charity, Mike said ‘’As a fellow St Helens lad, Steve was a childhood hero of mine, and has been a huge source of inspiration to myself and countless others – someone that proved that anything is possible with the right attitude.
This charity has always been close to my heart and so I’m honoured to take up the Base Camp challenge.
The Oracle fundraiser is going to be quite some night – I can’t wait to see you all there. Let’s see how much we can raise for this worthy cause!’’
Tickets are an absolute snip at just £10 with all proceeds going to the charity.
If you can’t make it, but would love to dig deep and show your support, then please head on over to Mike Parr’s JustGiving page and make a donation:

Emmerdale actor takes on Everest charity challenge
Actor Mike Parr is swapping the treachery of the rolling hills of the Emmerdale village for the treacherous heights of the world's tallest mountain range.
"Ross Barton" to soap fans is one of a group of forty climbing Everest next month, aiming to raise thousands of pounds for charity.
Mike Parr
I've done the Yorkshire three peaks and I did that in one day - I think we did 26 miles in ten hours or something, but this is going to be Everest base camp and we go actually one station higher than base camp, so I think we go to about 19 thousand feet in total.
– Mike Parr
Mike has been in altitude training - to prepare for the physical demands of climbing in a low-oxygen environment.
The challenge when we're out there is going to be the mental toughness, just having to push through it, but I'm also doing it with Taylor Prescott who is Steve's eldest son and you know he's fifteen, so you know, I'll be watching him, I'll be right behind him and I might be needing to encourage him, but I'm pretty certain he's going to be the one dragging me up that mountain because he's fit as a fiddle.
– Mike Parr
He has been invited to take part by the Steve Prescott Foundation, a charity set up by the former Wakefield Trinity and Hull FC player who died of cancer in 2013.
He's joined by a team of famous faces from Rugby League, as well as Jenna Brough, the wife of the Huddersfield Giants' Danny Brough, who climbed Kilimanjaro last year.
When I went up Kilimanjaro we took a nine day challenge over six days so we didn't have any acclimatisation days. We went straight up and came straight down, you were just you know camped on a night whereas with this one we've got a few days in-between so we acclimatise during them days so hopefully I'm not as sick and my headache's not as bad.
– Jenna Brough
Everest
The team - which includes Steve Prescott's wife and son - travel out to Nepal next month - before an eleven day trek to more than five and half thousand metres above sea level.

So judging by the new spoilers it will indeed be Emma who kills James, Ross confronts James, Emma finds out, she hatches a plan and then the last spoiler says "James tries to escape". Hopefully Ross isn't an accomplice, he is many things but surely he wouldn't help murder his own dad.

Seen a few rumours saying that Ross could've supplied Holly with the drugs, because there is a spoiler pic floating about of Adam fighting with that Simon guy (who caused all that trouble for Holly a few months back) and Ross is just lurking about in the background, observing. People are also saying that when Ross drives a drunk Moira home next week, he could be doing it out of guilt.
i thought maybe ross goes with adam after simon

Ross has never been involved with Drugs though has he? And him and Holly barely interacted. That sounds a bit of a long shot to be honest. It would be like the shooting all over again. I think he runs Moira home so she can tell him about James. Not out of guilt. And let's not forget he his her Nephew and she did a lot for him in the beginning so maybe Ross is actually just helping her.
Ross has never directly admitted to having a history of drug involvement but when James wrong accused Ross of having drugs at the farm (they were Pete's), Ross did say something like - "if you think drugs are the worst i can get, you don't know me".

He probably has been caught up in drugs before but he did say to Pete "I'm no dealer mate". The Ross and Moira scene coming up is probably just the lead up to James' death. On the subject of that, with 2 Bartons being killed is it the start of an exodus for the family or is it simply getting rid of the weakest characters?

Insults and fists fly between Ross and Dan
And even further in the future

Who's interviewed by the police...then charged with attempted murder?
Could Debbie be the past returning

This all happens after (presumably) James dies, obviously Ross goes off the rails and fights back against Dan, Ross has been feeling guilty about it so it would make sense for Dan to hit him and then thats it. I'm shocked that Ross hits him back, but it could be a result of his dad dying. Surely the last 2 spoilers are about Ross, he is the only one in the village who has attempted to kill someone, well what people know of anyway, obviously Robert has done his fair share of crimes aswell.

The attempted murder thing could be about James? Ross could be framed or someone else might be charged, it's hard to tell until we see this weeks episodes as they will be holding stuff back
But it could fit in with Ross going off the rails as we know he will have to go off screen for couple weeks
Or could it be to do with Charity she seems to go "missing" doesn't she? Which could lead to the return of Debbie and Maybe Cain getting charged

Yea it is quite a strange one. Possibly because of the whole Moira stuff with James but then nobody actually knows that Emma knows so that wouldn't fit in. We really need to wait until this week is over to get all the info. Things might become clearer. Adam did tweet about the big stuff coming up and seeing he isn't really in this week I assume he meant the aftermath

I can't for the life of me guess what that spoiler is all about. The wording of it makes it seem like it could just be a comedy filler plot thing for Ross, but would that really fit the rest of the episodes dynamic?

They are in danger of ruining Ross' character if they keep on doing these "comedy scenes". I do like some of them but Ross is so much more than a comedy character, he can do everything. He won them awards and he got a massive reaction when they "killed" him off, he is a massive character who needs good storylines

I can sort of see why they give him some funny scenes to do, because Mike does them well, Ross has always been sarcastic. However its just frustrating, if Ross is doing something weird or strange tomorrow whilst his dad is dying then its pathetic, imo. I hope he is off nicking a car or something.

On the subject of future storylines, I can see Emma attempting to kidnap Moses. When James told her that she had lost everyone, the first person she mentioned was Moses. Ross will probably suss what she was doing to James some point in the future leading her to run away but with his son. I also think Ross will kill Emma....

Ross will probably blame Moira for splitting up his family when he was younger. Its tragic really, he never felt close to his dad so he waited for his mum to come back and now she has taken his dad away from him. Ross will just feel massive guilt that he never bonded with James or told him that he loved him. I can see him taking the anger out on Dan and really battering him when they have the fight.

Emmerdale star Michael Parr has climbed Mount Everest: 'Yes, I cried'
He's fundraising for the Steve Prescott foundation.
Emmerdale's Michael Parr has reached a peak both metaphorically and literally with a gruelling Mount Everest climb.
And even better? It was all for a good cause.
The actor, who was recently snubbed for an Inside Soap Award for his portrayal as bad-boy Ross Barton in the ITV soap, completed the climb with 40 other brave souls to help raise money for the Steve Prescott foundation.
And following the climb, he took to Instagram this afternoon (October 24) to highlight the achievement.
41 people set off to make it to Everest base camp and 41 people made it. I'm not gonna lie this was the hardest thing I've ever done. Yes I cried and yes I thought I was gonna quit on multiple occasions. I was no hero on this trip but I had 40 other absolute hero's helping me up. We've raised nearly 200k and all that money...every single penny will go to helping lives or saving lives. We've suffered for nearly 14 days but all that suffering is nothing compared to what the people who we're doing this for is/are going through. Michael was joined by a host of rugby league legends, including Lee Briers and Barrie McDermott, who were completing the climb as part of the charity's Spectrum Everest Base Camp Challenge 2016.
The party arrived in Kathmandu and from there faced a gruelling 11-day trek to Nepal Everest Base Camp, before continuing on to Kala Patthar to reach a finishing height of 5,645 metres above sea level.

Emmerdale spoilers: Dan Spencer attacks Ross Barton – and Kerry Wyatt kisses Sam Dingle!
It could finally be the last straw for Dan Spencer in Emmerdale as he discovers that Ross Barton was the man that Kerry Wyatt slept with and fell pregnant by recently.
The confusion comes about when Dan and Ross swap Halloween costumes for the party which leads to Kerry accidentally letting the secret slip to Dan. Dan is furious and goes for Ross while Kerry is convinced that she has ruined everything this time and ends up drowning her sorrows with Sam Dingle.
As she gets more and more drunk, she accidentally kisses Sam on the lips, leaving him convinced that they are now a couple. Megan is stunned when she finds out and is left furious at Kerry for leading Sam on.
Meanwhile, another showdown explodes between Dan and Ross and as Dan hits Ross, Ross responds by knocking him out cold, leaving him more humiliated than ever. The final straw comes as Megan reveals what happened between Kerry and Sam, leaving Dan to storm away from her.
Is this the end for the couple?

I've just been reading next weeks TV mag and it has a Ross spoiler in for the week after....
"Ross and Adam go to war as Ross takes steps to wind Adam up deliberately. Victoria gets caught in the crossfire and makes a startling discovery".
We know that someone gets arrested for attempted murder that week when the past catches up with them. So will Victoria find out that Ross shot Robert and grass him up? Or does she take a knock and find out that she's pregnant? I hope its not the latter, its so predictable.

I knew it. She will be caught in crossfire and find out she's pregnant. They have to balance it out for the Barton's somehow.
Not sure who will get arrested though, can't be Ross aswell although nothing would surprise me

I hate Adam/Victoria together, so Im not excited about this. Id rather it be about Ross shooting Robert.

Well, I didn't see that coming!
I'm not happy that Ross and Charity slept together (again!) - I don't like them as a couple.
However, I am very happy that Ross owned her at the end! Finally, Ross is getting his balls back! lol

I expected them to sleep together again, but I didn't expect Ross to put her in her place and completely own her.
Have the writers had an epiphany recently on their treatment towards Michael Parr/Ross?
Michael's finally being given scripts that show off his abilities again. He was great tonight as a drunk.
They've continued with Ross as a tough guy from Friday's episode too. Let's hope wimp-Ross will never be seen again and 2016 episodes will be wiped from Emmerdale's catalogue.

I think this is just the start, he knocks Dan out tomorrow I think. Then he fights with Adam next week.

Yeah, I'm thinking he'll go too far at some point so Pete and Finn (possibly Emma, but I think she'd still feel too guilty herself?) decide to kick him out of the house. Hence his temp exit storyline.

Yea maybe. Although you would think they would try a better approach this time and try be there to help him rather than just going against him.
Weird Ross still seems to be helping at the farm. Would have thought that would be the last thing he would be doing?
Remember when Donna died. He was so down. I remember that scene of him outside crying after Lawrence started burning his things he was so alone then

Well where he goes, he isn't away too long. I think he only missed 2 weeks of filming, he probably just goes on a massive bender or something.

This is from the all about soap soap mag...
Ross blames Moira for splitting up his family years ago, and he targets Adam by kissing Victoria. He then fights with Adam, and Victorias baby could be in danger when she gets in the way. Whatever happens this just the start of a war between the brothers, and Finn and Pete will be torn about which side to take (as if Finn wouldn't take Ross' side).
It also mentions that Aaron and Robert could get involved, I hope Ross kills them all ;)

After reading the all about soap mag I can see Ross being run out of the village. It seems that Aaron sticks up for Adam and Robert also gets involved, they will probably plan something. I hope Ross gets the better of them though.

All hell breaks loose between the Barton family in Emmerdale tonight (November 3) - with Ross and Emma predictably at the centre of it all.
As the Bartons get to work on last-minute preparations for James's funeral, Ross (Michael Parr) refuses to be part of it as he'd much rather search for answers on how his father died in the first place.
Not a bad idea all things considered, but fortunately for Emma, Ross is entirely on the wrong track when he remains convinced that Cain (Jeff Hordley) was somehow responsible for what happened. D'oh.
Heading to see Cain with his loved ones in hot pursuit, Ross accuses him of killing James after a row over Moira went horribly wrong.

Tension flares up as Moira and James's history is brought up again in Emmerdale
© ITV
Going into detail with his outlandish theory, Ross reckons that Cain found out about James and Moira's recent fumble, causing tensions to boil over.
Ross also lets slip about how James told Moira that he loved her, so 'shocked and upset' Emma (Gillian Kearney) has to pretend that it's all news to her.
With her secrets now out, how will Moira explain herself? And will Ross ever back down?
