did dean have his trial or has that been dropped he was pleading not guilty or did he change his plea
how jane especially is not questioned and arrested is a big fail by the writers

Last thing we were told was that Dean's trial is in June.
Letting Ian and Jane off the hook because Bobby said no one else was involved is indeed a big fail. The police would immediately have suspected them of helping him and would have questioned them extensively. I think the initial investigation found Lucy's body had been dumped after death (something easy to detect in a post mortem), so that little fact is now being conveniently ingnored...
DTC was obviously so desperate to tie the storyline up before he left that they decided to hammer a square peg into a round hole to make everything fit neatly and let Ian, Jane, Sharon and Phil off the hook (legally at least).

From next week's Radio Times: 'Speaking to RT, outgoing EastEnders boss Dominic Treadwell Collins promised that one of his final acts would be to end the Lucy Beale murder story once and for all, "Justice will finally be served," he said, referring to the one-child-crime-spree that is Bobby Beale. So all eyes will be on the court hearing that will determine Bobby's future."
But not referring to justice for Max in the form of prosecutions of Ian, Jane, Phil, Sharon and the rest then?
be great if bobby brought them all down with him, saying the knew and helped

I emphasis with you, the Beales made lots of folks lives a misery covering up for their demon, to drag a dead body of a women onto open ground would take some vile distorted personality to do, no matter the twisted notion of good intent . and for Ian to disrespect Lucy by not giving her justice in death was beyond the pale.
Yet now we seem to being told to feel sorry for them. ignore the fact they sent a innocent fella to prison with no remorse and endangered others of being Bobbied
But then this eastenders. a soap not known for its logic or logical y developed story lines.

I was always quite proud in the past that big crimes at least always led to the culprit being found out and punished accordingly ...does not seem to happen now unless there is going to be a big dramatic development ...so far there don“t seem to be any signs for that though ...
