I felt he was so stressed that it was almost a compulsion to seek relief by becoming Christine. His stress was made worse by Pam's hypocrisy - and I expect Christine's outfit being so close at hand made it impossible to resist.

im still against donna having a kid with vincent, surprised claudette is for it but she wants back in good with him, they call each other brother and sister and same mother even if not by blood so the baby dad is also it's uncle, i can see why kim is upset, im sure vincent would help donna financially for a donor

The Donna/Vincent child storyline is being soooo badly handled. It's an interesting moral dilemma which - from reading other sites as well as SoapBoards - I can see engenders some strong feelings. It should have been treated with kid gloves.

Instead it's been incredibly rushed, with no build-up, and with people acting totally out of character (Denise NOT having a fit about it? ). Was it really necessary to have Donna ovulating the episode straight after Kim was strong-armed into agreeing? And did we have to witness such cringeworthy insemination scenes? I would have been quite happy for that to have happened totally off screen. Richard Blackwood seems very uncomfortable which isn't helping.

I had assumed they'd use a clinic since Vincent isn't short of a bob or two. Also, I'm wondering about Donna's disability and whether it can be inherited? Why hasn't that been mentioned?

I enjoyed the Jane/Ian and Steven/Ian make up scenes, and also Paul giving a very pathetic Les permission to be himself. The relief on his face was very moving.

I definitely think the old Steven is hiding in there somewhere. Whether he's secretly planning revenge or has convinced himself he's truly changed I've no idea - but hopefully it'll be fun finding out. The twisted teenaged Steven stalking Ian storyline is a favourite of mine so I'm very happy he's back.

Donna hasnt sort any medical advice and neither have been screened, this can only end well.

I mean financially Kim by marriage becomes responsible for another child's upkeep, so its natural for her to want to defend her own child over some other women using emotional blackmail to use her husband to create another.

Stephen had my blood boiling, I hate bods whos whole drive is about themselves, yes I shot you and now you are lying in bed unable to boot me out so Im going to speel my splean at you for my own reasons of guilt to hell with you the victim Im the one thats suffered not you.

I agree that Stephen isnt on the level, I mean somehow he has nabbed Peters girl and baby and used them to get himself a card to play to come back and dont get me started on how he keeps calling her babe like he cant remember her name.

Lauren by her very presence in the Beales house is a continuing betrayal of Max, these people sent him to prison covering up for their devil spawn with no hint of guilt and she wonders why he wants no contact.

No Carol? Like Jack she presumes and condemed him as guilty and now cant deal with the truth of his inocence, although he did go out of his way to look guilty at the time.

I am announcing that I am officially giving up on Eastenders. This sympathetic portrayal of Jane and Ian as the victims in all this is more than I can stomach.

I might be back when Max returns in September to see what happens then.

Meanwhile, it's off to Corrie full time!

    What a shame!

Back when I felt the same about Dean's portrayal, I used to fast forward through all his scenes (since I always record the soaps and watch them later in the evening). Is that something you'd consider doing?

In any case, I hope you still read this thread and also post if you've got something to say - even if it's to tell me off for being sympathetic to Ian and Jane...

how jane especially is not questioned and arrested is a big fail by the writers
