Are you over 21 Vicky? If so you'll be classed as a mature student. If you're unsure about your qualifications, ring the universities up (when you have a rough idea of what course you want to do) and ask to talk to the admissions tutor for the faculty. They'll be able to give you more advice on the entry requirements, they are sometimes different for people who haven't done the usual A levels, HND, NVQ etc and are mature students.
Graphics and web design, media and web design etc are joint honours. How you study them varies (major/minor, equal weight) but the idea is you combine two subject areas into one degree. If you just want to study one subject area then opt for web design or similar on it's own.And i looked on UCAS website and i typed in web design as a course but different uni's offer different types of courses like some just say web design, others says graphics and web design and others say media studies with web design (and there are loads more different ones)
