Well, my two had a great firework display for free - spent all weekend running back and forth from the front bedroom to the back bedroom watching all of the fireworks that the neighbours had bought, and they stayed warm and it didn't cost us a penny!!! :rotfl: Aren't I awful?! I just remember the days of home displays when I would watch in fear as my dad lit the touch paper and would then run as fast as he could to get away from the firework before it went off etc and would never do it myself or even ask hubby to do it. My youngest is scared of loud noises anyway, and felt far more secure watching them from the windows. I just feel for all of the animals at the mo and am very glad my two guinea pigs are back indoors again - is it me or does bonfire night and firework displays tend to go on for weeks either side of the 5th rather than just the weekend...

thats the idea Emlol - it saves money and in my eyes is safer than having any in our own back garden (which isn't particularly big anyway) Plus I wouldn't like to take the youngest to an arranged display, pay the money to get in, get a good spot etc and then him be really scared and want to come home - there isn't any enjoyment in it for them like that....at least this way, he felt secure for being at home, but had a great time running back and forth watching them all....

Yep and he will be warmer and you would not have to out in the cold, and with it in your home- you are nice and warm and in peace (with Fireworks going off) but some places are free- or maybe that just where i live

I think cause we live in a small town, the 2 main displays that are put on you have to pay entry for its only £1.50 or something like that, but like you say, we can stay in the nice and warm too rather than freezing outside - at least the weather held off here though, so although it had been raining during the day, it was dry in the evening. Plus it meant that I could watch the fireworks at the same time as watching Strictly Come Dancing lol

Cornetgal you have to make sure that your Cat can not see the fireworks so you need to put the Tv on nice and loud but not too loud as it really loud- the volume that they can not hear the fireworks

argh, i'm stuck in boring ICT, with Mindy one side dictating thing she wants me to shout, and this other girl on the other side talking about CSI or something like that. I have drama for an hakf and a half after school as well, so i wont get home for, like, 2 hours :(

my day was fine- just had to go to the skip to get rid of some rubbish and I went to the charity shop to get rid of some stuff that I do not need any more- just found out the sign in out so that no-one can park outside my house to the ones that are nest to me so that the removal van can go in that space to put my house in.

Urmmmm also in netball at school, my team threashed the other one and i scored loads of the goals which was great couz me teacher don't like me so i could rub it in her face this way!! hehe

Well I've had a busy week that's why I havn't been on here much teh last few days: I have LOADS of c/wk to do :( and on Tuesday i went to teh Elstree studios to be in teh audience for Who wants to be a millionare! It was really good, it was the first time I'd been on Tv and I was so excited lol! Me and my friend who i went with were hoping to see some people from EE but we didn't in the end...eeerm..yesterday went to the gym after school (lol very interesting) and today I'm goin to look around a sixth form place in abit with my Dad for next year. I've been going round loads recently and it is so BORING - they all look the same and I'm probably just going to stay on at my school anyway. :rolleyes:

It was really good! I got a question right on Ask the Audience..oh yeah! LOL Yeah, it is more than an hour long - we went in at 6.15 and didn't get out til 9.15 which was quite bad as I was meant to be home by 9.30 and its an hour train journey...lol

i didnt stay at my school, i went to another school instead. i found it hard to decide too, i applied to 3 schools (including the school i was at) went to all their induction days and decided once id got my results!

we had ours and this year everyone was really quiet because a girl in our year group died at the begining of september so everyone was really quiet and she was one of my closest friends too and we know that its ment to be people that died in the wars but its still rememberance really.

I agree its really disrespectful to talk over it-its only 2 minutes! I remeber at teh end of teh day on July 7th this year the headtecher at our school did a tannoy and said we were going to do a minutes silence in respevct to the peope, atht died and i couldnt even hear her talking because people were just chattin and being noisy like they normally do and taht REALLY made me angry becaus it was only one minute to be silent and people had actually died that day! :angry:
