ooooooooo i love the icecream at pizza hut! though i dont think the people at pizza hut like us having icecream factory cos we once managed to get it all over the floor, and we only normally get 2 instead of 4 and just share it instead! and we get a whole pile of the sweets and just eat them!

have got the builders in today!! which is fab becauise they have messed us around for nearly 3 months.
they turned up at 8am to measure then went for an hour. then they ahve taken out my sink and put new cupboard in but have turned off my water and have now been gone nealry 2 hours!!! the bloke went to get the worktop cut and hasnt come back. i cant get in my kitchen as it dusty and there are tools everywhere, i cant use my loo as water is turned off, i have a 3 year old who is desperate for a wee and has to use his potty which he hates and a very full baldder of mine, so they had best hurry up soon.
also the electrician is due and hasnt turned up yet so no dout he wont come today and ill have another day when my flat is upside down!!

My new bed got delivered today but they missed one screw out of it so we phoned them up and they're putting it in the post, so in the meantime I'll have to sleep on the floor on a mattress or in the spare room  Why do you never get all the parts when you buy flat packed furniture??
we had builders last year and they were alrite, but a lady down the road isnt quite so lucky.... she's been having the same work as us, but they've been at it for 5 months and it's not finished! ours took about 2 months!

I had an alright day actually. I went to school this morning to pick up my Exam result, so that was OK. Its my Grans birthday tomorrow, so i went to a "pick your own" farm, and got loads of fruit and veg for her. I then baked a cake for her, which i'm gonna take when i go to her house tomorrow. Its well cool. Its completly pink, because of the icing i used, its sort of hard to describe. But trust me, its the first cake i made then didn't end in disaster, and its great! I dont wanna eat it!

awwww poor you debs! i know exactly how you feel cos when we had builders in to do some work they were dreadful. they didnt turn up when they said they would, they decided they were going to do another job for a few weeks in the middle of doing ours, they ate all our food, broke our cups and left them outside in the rubble, when they were at our house they hardly did any work they were either standing around chatting, having a fag or having a cup of tea! and they let my cat out the front door even though she never went out the front and she ended up getting run over by a car. and when they finally finished the work, my sis room had a leak in it and everytime it rained, loads of water came through her wall and dripped down through the ceiling below, loads of stuff in her room was ruined and we had to have buckets everywhere!
We had an extension built when I was expecting Ciaran, and they didn't string the floorboards properly, so they are really badly squeaky and about 6 tiles came off the roof in the first lot of winds we had, which fell on my car which was 6 months old at the time, scratching the paintwork etc and they refused liability!!! It was lucky that one of our customers has a paintshop, so he did it for nothing for us.....

yesterday was a good day. i didnt do anything, just stayed at home, but that gave me chance to spend time with smudge. the vet told us to think of 5 or 6 things that he really likes doing and see if he does them at least 3 times a day, when he stops doing at least half of them 3 times a day then thats when hes getting really ill and in pain. anyway yesterday he was out in the garden running and jumping around and playing with a stick! and he happily ate all the cream i left for him from my yogurt thing and also ate all the hard biscuit things which are my other cats food and even knocked the bag over to get some more out! he also managed to jump from our sette to the windowsill, which terrified me watching him as the other day he couldnt jump onto my lap when i was on the high computer chair and so i thought he was going to fall but luckily he didnt! so at the mo hes doing fine and so that made my day good yesterday (otherwise it would have been very boring!)

I had a good day today, Woke up early as the dog wanted to go out,so half asleep I tumbled done the stairs. I had a lazy breakfast and then on the computer for a hour......lie 2 hours ha ha. Then I went to the gym with my son and had a good sweating session, then after a shower, boy we needed it we went and did a bit of retail theraphy. Then off for a walk with the dog.while the dinner was cooking.Hubby is washing up and our son is on the other computer and me, I am relaxing before casulaty.what I call a nice chilled out day.
well, i was up at the crack of dawn again, delivering papers and then i went shopping
i had a fab day today. it is my nephews 1st birthday so he had a party at his other auntie debs house, she has got a lovely big garden wuth a swimming pool and jacuzzi so connor went in there for most of the afternoon. then we had a lovely birthday tea and some cake( the bbest bit!) connor went back in the pool with my brother and was trying to learn to swim.
then i plucked up the courage ( i had had a bottle of wine!!) to go on their big trampoline which burnt a few calories off for this week. greta fun me, my brother and my sis in law all being big kids on the trampoline and teaching my sis in law all the stuff we used to do at school. its been 10 years since i have done trampolining.
great fun.
connor had a fab day beacuse he got to play with his little friend all day, is his girlfirend he tells me. has been his girlfriend for a year now. she is 2 years older than him but he told me yesterday he was going to marry her! and that she was going to live in our house with him and mummy and daddy!!! so today me and her mum were planning!!!! yeah it was lovely and i would love one too. connor loved it and espeically loved the jacuzzi with the bubbles! i wasa wishing i was in there too.
it is sweet and he very loyal to his girlfriend! she is his only one and if you ask him he always says her.
I've got an 8ft trampoline in the garden, which I can never get the boys off of. Its hilarious watching my 3 years old doing bum drops back to standing over and over - the faces he pulls. Good for their balance development too apparently!!
i want one even more now! but it'll have to be after the mini ipod and laptop...
As soon as I have had this one, I am going to be on it to help with my weight loss I think - at least it'll make it more fun that way, although I will probably have to fight the kids over it!!!

i used to do trampolining at school and it was great fun. couldnt get me off it yesterday. although this morning i have woken up and muscles that i never knew existed are hurting.
i really want one but it would take up my whole garden
i've managed to pull a muscle in my neck whilst climbing a wall in the past. i don't know how!

i really want one but it would take up my whole gardenIts great for toning etc. Mine takes up about 1/3 of my garden, but the good thing is that if sunny and the boys are bored, I just chuck em in it, close the zip down, and they stay in there for hours - Ci sleeps even better then normal after a session on it. Though it can be a fight with him to get him to come in afterwards sometimes...

connor loved it yesterday. he jhas always loved his trampoline so when he saw the size of the one yesterday he was so excited. he came on with me and thouight it was great coz i was sending him flying!!.
he did sleep really well last night but then so did i .
i need to get one as i had such fun on it and it dosent really feel like exercise.
you must have a huge garden!
Thats how I was before I fell pregnant - its good with the surround around it too, as I know that they can't fall off etc. They're like 2 bouncing tiggers!!
you must have a huge garden!Nope, though its pretty square and is in behind the conservatory, so its slightly out of the way, leaving the rest of it for the guinea pigs if they're out - its not big enough for the boys to play footies or anything - they just keep losing the ball over the neighbours fences unfortunately...
the neighbours fences. reme=mber that one well! smacked against someone's window and nearly smashed it.
 Luckily our neighbours are pretty good - though we have had to glaze our conservatory with laminated glass, which makes it very difficult to break...
yeah well this one went on a screaming shouting match. we didn't have time to hide
I think its so silly when people get like that though - people are so against fun these days :(
i know and theres another woman who deliberately drives fast down the road to try and teach us that we shoudln't play in the road. we live at the end of a cul de sac for gods sake!
OMG - you should report her!! That is just pure stupidity, someone could get killed!
or maybe we should report her son for waving swords and lightsavers at us in very dangerous manners and then getting out a pair of scissors? i think she stopped when her son started playing out
had a good day today, went to market.bought way too much though, spend about £150!! in the middle of cooking roast dinner, seems to be taking forever today....the meat doesnt seem to want to cook, then ive to do a extra plate and drop it up to the other halves grandad as the wife is away,im so nice! :p

going back to what was being said about trampolines: id like one but our garden isnt flat enough for it to be safe. also, although the ones you can buy are good, the proper trampolines that i go trampolining on are so much better and a lot bouncier but theyre about £2000 so i dont think ill be getting one of those any time soon!
yeah, it's a bit out of budget by about um...£1750! they must be good for that kind of money!

yesterday my day was ok. in the morning my cat escaped from our garden and normally hes allowed to go into other peoples gardens but cos hes ill we wanted to make sure we knew exactly where he was. anyway, me and my sis were out in the garden with him and he start wandering off towards the fence but before i can get there he sits in this really prickly bush thing by our fence so i cant get him and then as soon as i got there he walked through the fence! we couldnt see him to start with in nextdoors garden so my mum went round there to knock on their door to ask if she could go in the garden and get him, but no one answered. i was made to keep watch so we knew where he was but cos nextdoor have loads of huge bushes in their garden i couldnt see properly so i had to half climb up the tree so i could see him. we finally saw him and shook the box with his biscuits in as he normally comes for them but he didnt so my dad had to get the ladder and climb over to get him. looking back it was funny, but at the time i was a bit annoyed as i was up a tree still in my pyjamas getting splinters in my finger!
then in the afternoon i had to go round my aunties cos she was having some sort of bday buffet thing. anyway, that was really not fun as there were some other kids there who were right brats! as soon as me and my sis asked if we could watch the tv, these other kids decided they wanted to watch it too so they sat on the sofa so we had to sit on the floor and every few minutes kept shouting out channels that they wanted to watch and trying to grab the remote so in the end i sat on the remote so they couldnt change channels! we even watched emmerdale though i hate that programme just so they couldnt watch what they wanted to! cos they werent getting their own way, the oldest one (who was 13) decided that as he apparently knew everything about how tvs work, he decided he was going to pull out different cables in the back to try and change the channel that way! (and they hadnt even been to my aunties house before and they were messing around with her tv and playing on the computer even though she said they werent allowed too!) in the end we had to let them watch what they wanted as they were moaning so we let them have half hour between 7.30 and 8 so we were able to watch ee (something else they didnt want to watch!). though all the way through it they were shouting and throwing things around the room, knocking things over and breaking up my little cousins toys and stuff. some hard toffee thing smacked in in the eye and so now i have a black eye! it really hurt, i wanted to thump the little kid that did it but their mum was there and she thought they acted like angels!
hope your leg gets better soon vikki! :)

My day was pretty boring. I had to go to Boots to sort out my photos they developed for me. They over charcged me by a fiver  so i got me money back

i told my mum and showed her but the kids were just really out of control and their mum didnt seem to mind what they were doing. i would have thumped the little kid if the older one hadnt have been there but even though he was only 13 and im 17 he was really tall and he looked like he would have hurt me so i didnt take the risk. my mum said afterwards though that i should have thumped the little kid and if the other one had hurt me then she would really have gone mad!

It's been quite boring. I've watched three episodes of Eastenders, spoke on the phone to my friend for a bit and updated my website. I'm just reading the POS then I'm going to empty the dishwasher, tidy my room and the bathroom. Put my washing away, have a bath and settle down the evening with a bottle of wine and a DVD. :D
Today I've just got back from shopping and bought some new school shoes, a black shirt thing from Bay Trading, some earrings that are really nice with feathers on them and a bath ballistic :D

well, i've had a fast paced day... firstly, i go to my mates at about 10am and go unicycling till 11.30am and then i had a quick whip round tesco. then we had to go pick up my sisters friend, to bring her round, but she wasn't there, so we came home ate lunch, went back to this gals house but she wasn't there and then she turned up at 2pm, so then i made another unpredictables t- shirt, and then i went and pkayed badminton!

Just do it! Has your school got a school council or something? We do, and each year also has a year council. I was part of my year council, and we really told the teachers where to stick it over and over again. We raised £3000 to kids in Costa Rica, and arranged for a group of people from our year to go on a trip to give it to them. We stopped 50 people going into prostitution :) . We started a "safer routes to school" campaign. We had a conference with some members of our borughs council, and they gave us £10,000 to invest in improving the area around the school (its right in the middle of these woods, with no lighting- lots of attacks). We changed the school timings, like you wanted to, so that we had a shorter lunch, but went home earlier. We also "did a Jamie" and compeltly revamped our canteen. We got rid of all the junk, and showed the canteen staff how we wanted it to be. We changed the queuing system, and improved the prices. You gotta remember, we did all this. 10 school kids. 10 15 year olds. We had no help, nor support, from our teachers, govenors or parents. We were against everyone, yet we managed to change it. No one else has managed to do anything close to the amount of stuff we did in our school, and i doubt our school will get anyone else like us again to be honest. We made the differences, and they worked. In the end, the Head Teacher congratulated us on making such a huge difference to the school, when even he doubted us.
If you wanna change them, then do it. :p
Abi- you guys did a lot. well done
all you guys seem to have great times. my school is 8:45- 3:50 and I have an hour bus journey each way!

My school has stupid times, but its better then what it was. We're going to try and get it more consistant next year, but the upper school always finshes later on Monday and Tuesdays anyway, which makes it worse. For me my school times are;
Monday: 8.40- 3.35 (because of extra lessons for upper school, it's 3.00 for lower school)
Tuesday: 9.00-3.35(because of extra lessons for upper school, its 3.00 for lower school), (late start because of staff meeting)
Wednesday: 8.40-3.00#
Thursday: 8.45-3.35 (because of PSHE and Citizenship)
Friday: 8.45- 3.00
Its still really dumb as you can tell, my mum gets so confused! We changed it so that the lower school (years 7-9) finish at 3.00 everyday apart from Thursday, and start at 8.40 everyday but Tuesday. It makes it eaier for them, especially the newbies in year 7. By the upper school you get used to the dumb rules and times the school has!
I said that we changed it so we finish earlier, because of having a shorter lunch. We did finsh at 3.40 everyday, and laer on a tuesday and monday, but we hated that in winter. it was sooo dark went we left in winter time, and i live 3 miles from school (and i walk)
Poor you walking! Do you do citizenship then? DO you like it? I'm starting it this year

omg citzenship is sooooooooooooo boring and a total waste of time! we had to do it in yr10 and we were meant to do 1 lesson a week for half the yr of citzenship and then the other half was pse, and we were supposed to have done it in yr11 too. but the teacher we had for it was a thai lady and we couldnt understand her properly and as the lesson was completely pointless we just mucked around and never did any work. she managed to teach us for a term then she left so we didnt have to do citzenship again!

All i've done in Citizenship is Drugs and Sex Education. My teacher is about 120 years old, so sex education is sooo funny! :rotfl: You can't take it seriously, its impossible!
omg. sex education, we haven't done any of that this year. but a teacher trying to put a condomn on a plastic model .... one teacher put a condom on a banana. the banana squished!
:rotfl: We did that with Carrots!!!! Its embaressing with our teacher!
carrots???? um..... why are sex ed teachers always really old? it's really embarrasing! and next year, we learn how to put condoms on. yay! can't wait for my 50 odd year old teacher to get the condoms out.
Lucky you!! We did all that in year 7, we do all STD's and STI's now which isn't so embarressing. Have you ever seen Mean Girls? My teacher sounds exactly like that Sex ed guy!
omg. thats bad!!! but that guy in mean girls couldn't spell!
She always says the whole "you have sex, you'll die" thing. Its so dumb. Come on, its always in the news about how bad sex ed is now a days, but thats just ridiculous. How we supose to take it seriously when the teachers are so stupid about it?!

yeah, Ci started in the easter hols, just before his 3rd birthday - I was crying all the way home etc, but Ci loves it - I only put Ci in because I knew that I would need a break for when this one arrives and because its the main feeder into the school he will be going and I'd rather he started with friends than not. The only downside is that hes grown up and got very independant since starting....
I think that we have a slightly different education system up here - the nursery C (Christopher is too long to type all the time so I call him C!) starts is attatched to the primary school - but they have to be 3 to join. I feel I need some time alone with Sarah too and then if/when we get pregnant.....
I am dreading him becoming more independant he is enough of that already!!

Loads of other gripes too, but another story) They start in the 1/2 term before their 3rd birthday. Ci will be going 3 sessions per week (Mon pm, Weds pm and Thurs am) which will be nice for me to rest in, although the time does fly.

C will be in 5 half days a week! thankfully the nursery is less than a 5 minutes walk from here - a friend seems only to drop the kids off before having to head back out to collect her son from nursery

I feel like they start school etc so young they don't really have a childhood anyway...
I think the 5 session thing is what they are trying to introduce down here, but most of us mums want nothing to do with it as we have said its too much for the child to cope with (and us as mums too!!! )

I hope it goes well - at least he's not starting for a little bit

Looking at getting an espace in a years time as this one is only a year old
my eldest is just concerned over who gets to sit next to there sister when shes out! im sure it will soon wear off and then they will both want to be in the back
aww bless - my eldest wants to go whereever the other two aren't :rotfl:
You won't know yourself with the extra space though...bet you can't wait till you pick it up..

we have a scenic at the min and have spoken about the grande next - how do you like the grande? like the 5* ncap rating
we have a scenic at the min and have spoken about the grande next - how do you like the grande? like the 5* ncap ratingI would highly recommend it to anyone - the seat configuration is brilliant, the automatic handbrake gives you an edge on the lights (I mean, makes hill starts far easier lol) there is loads of storage etc
We have the dCI 120 1.9 Privilege - I don't think there is anything I would criticise about it to be honest!

good to know was thinking about the dcI too (we have the 1.8 16v sport) at the minute
like the zaffera too but it doesnt have the ncap rating
The downside with the Zafira is the seat configuration - you have to slide the entire 2nd row forward to put up the 3rd, then slide it back into place again. With the grand scenie, they just flip out of the boot - minimum effort, and the power is fantastic. its great leaving boy racers at the lights in their 205 gti's (only when the kids aren't in the car of course). I am getting about 40-45 to the gallon out of it too and I'm not the slowest of drivers....

We chipped our van and it increased fuel consumption by 10-15 mpg and increased the power in it, so looking at doing the same with this one (even though my hubby complains that I drive too fast already!! lol )

that is a silly mpg increase - is it expensive to chip? and does it make insurance much different?
that is a silly mpg increase - is it expensive to chip? and does it make insurance much different?£250 approx - its a bit like a plug and play device!! I can't remember exactly on the insurance as it was a while back, but it wasn't too bad (cause of our ages, we are supposed to be sensible - oh if only they knew!!!) :rotfl: I think it was about £100 extra something like that...

America does have those tests but they are different,, they have SATS thats basically to see how well prepared u are for college or university.. my son passed his SATS, the NAVY wanted him, the AIRFORCE but he opted out of a Military career and went on to get a double masters degree and he teaches the blind now .. I am really really proud of his achievement :cheer:

you pick your own. the system goes like this:
ks1 (4-7) sats in year 2
ks2 (7-11) sats in year 6
ks3 (11-14) sats in year 9
ks4 (14-16) gcses in year 11
then college where you do AS levels and A levels
then University

I can't even do it that well meself! I have 3 weeks with them, and then they go in for this competition, which really isn't enough time!

Today was quite bring for me as well, but luckily I'm not back at school yet :). Did some of my Technology coursework this morning and then went to the gym this afternoon to finish my induction. I'm now a fully-fledged member so me and my friends have decided we are going to go every Wednesday after school, don't know how long that will last though, we'll probably end up just sitting in the cafe instead lmao. I'll have a better day tomorrow hopefully cos I'm going to the cinema with my mate to see Red Eye. :)
