View Full Version : How Was Your Day VI
As requested, and because the previous one was getting rather large, link here (http://www.soapboards.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=85200) here's a new one!!!
Chat away :)
I feel crap. Headachy, sore throat temperature and genreal achiness.
I cannot wait until it is time to go home.....
I hope that I didn't catch anything on the plane home on Sunday afternoon
It is how I felt when I came back from Mauritius. Was a virus in the end. Hope you are feeling better soon, get rest and TLC from your loved ones :)

Hope you're feeling better soon Trinity (:
Had first english language paper today - found it quite easy, but I love these kind of papers.
History Paper one tomorrow - on Super Power Relations and The Road To War.
I'm absolutely crapping myself over this. I have revised so much, but it will not stick in my head, no matter how hard I try. And it's really winding me up. It's good job I know I can do relatively well on paper 2 so hopefully that will bump my mark up.
only 5 more exams to go, can't believe it's gone so quick!
I just got my exam results and overall module marks for this semester. Grade point 13 on both modules, another two firsts :ninja: Highest gp possible is 15. I'm speechless. I knew I 'd done well on one module but the other exam didn't go too well, so I must have done pretty good on the assignment.
Shame I haven't got any wine to celebrate with.
Still awaiting a decision on the module I failed from first semester. Hopefully with high firsts across the board (every module :o ) they won't make me redo it.
I really can't fooking believe it. GPs of 13 and 14 for every piece of work bar one. Shame the first year counts for nothing :(
Well done, I have just poured a couple of glasses of pink champagne for us  You have done yourself proud, Abigail. :cheer:
*Accepts the champagne most willingly*
Its... amazing. I can't wait to pick my assignment and lab report up on Thursday and see what I got.
WOW!!! well done abigail :D
Im tanning nicely I have to say
2 exams on friday so im revising loads
I'm sick of revision now. My last exam is tomorrow.
Good luck to you both. If I can pass exams with firsts without revising then I'm sure you'll both do great :)
I really don't deserve to get firsts when I haven't worked for it. There's people who work their socks off for weeks before the exam and don't pass yet I revise for a few hours the day before and come out with the fourth highest mark across two awards  It's not fair.
There's one person I really want to share this with and I can't :( He was the first person I thought of when I got the results and I automatically reached for my phone to ring him. Then I remembered I can't. I sent him a text but his phone isn't accepting them.
This "let's keep our distance and sort ourselves out" idea is so hard. I hate it :crying:

Omg well done Abigail! You should be proud, you must've done something righ to get those grades so don't beat yourself up about it :)
My first exam is Friday.. absolutely dreading it, I really am not motivated at all. I didn't wnat to be in school as it was, I was more or less forced to go back... so sitting exams is the last thing I want to do.
Been to my friends for a revision day today... did a bit so thats ok... got very burnt, it hurts :( and jsut been dancing, I'm thinking of going to bed soon to read through my notes again.. Hmm

Well done Abigail on getting those wonderfuk results.
Well I got out of hospital yeserday after feeling dreadful for the last 5 days - it turned out I have a total body infections so the chest pain wasn't chest pain but pain from my infected lungs - so onwards and upwards and taking yet more pain meds...
To everyone doing exams, try to relax, read the exam paper all the way through and then start, this works for 3 reasons - 1) the whole exam doesnt feel so daunting as you know what to expect and 2) if one question is a bit hard you know that there are a few that you could spend longer on and get one or 2 or 5 more important points.
All the best
Senorita
well done abigail, there great results.
I have spent all morning emailing and talking no the phone to volunteering places like the CAB. I am determined to actually do something productive with my summer. Not just sit around. I was so proud of myself booking my flights yesterday as well, im a liittle scared about that though but should be really good all the same.
Going to book some driving lessons later as i am actually having a productive morning, i am on a bit of a role, also got some money from that phone recycling place, going to hit amazon later try and sell text books. Busy Busy Busy!!!! and all that.
Finished my exams :D I have a week off before I have to go back and start A2.

That's fab Abigail well done! :D
I still have four more exams to go. History today was HARD. I wrote something, then thought it was wrong so crossed it out and wrote the other thing, then after the exam I looked in my book and realised it was right the first time. gutted. I don't even expect to get a C ha. But i'm pretty confident about the next paper which is on thursday so hopefully that will bump my mark up.
Last english language tomorrow!

I have had a very unproductive day at the job centre! i think it might have to be volunteering at least that way i will not be bored, i have been skint for three years whats one more summer giong to hurt!
yeh i think im gonna do volunteering stuff in the summer as well, i can never seem to get a job, and at least then i can volunteer in a job which i might wanna do in the future
glad you had a good time, i need to book some driving lessons, at least i can do something productive with my time.
i need to get onto doing that as well. i really need to learn to drive and im going to have enough time to do it over the summer!
Katy, if you can't find a job for 28 days and have evidence (i.e. job interviews, letter from the job centre saying they've been trying to get you work) you can apply for summer Access To Learning fund (ALF). If you ring the advice centre at your university they will be able to give you more information.
It's a grant that you don't have to pay back unless you withdraw or intermit.
thanks, i didnt know that

I hate to bring the mood up lmao. But I've had a good day :D
Didn't bother going to college - no point at the moment, can do more at home. So I stayed home, had a lie in, then did some college work :D 1 assignment down haha.
Then I went to the Crystal Maze with a couple of mates, was well fun. We won 9 crystals lmao.
Then we went to Tenby for a few chips and sit by the beach. Was nice. :D
Though watching couples stroll acroos the beach together makes me want a boyfriend :(. I'm bored of being single now lol.

..Me and my friends are thinking baout coming down to stay in a caravan in Tenby somewhere in the summer holidays :)
yeah it is. Lol.. liek I said, it's probably just me. It's just not the same as it was before it all happened... and I don't like it. We used to talk and have a laugh but now it's as if we're crossing the line if we dare to even have a alugh with each other :(

Really? The other night he was fine wasn't he? Have you spoken to him about it?
Kirsty :]
03-06-2009, 23:45
Yeahh I know... I thoguht there was a bowling place next to Oakwood.. because when we went camping I remember going to this bowling place because the weather was pants but they were full...
It's weird.. maybe it's because he's in charge sine he is the assistant manager? but I don't know.. I'll see what it's liek on Saturday when him and the manager are in, maybe.. hopefully things will be different
EDIT: Hell yeah I'll meet you!! Omg how completely cool would that be?!
CrazyLea
03-06-2009, 23:47
Yeah that's the place. It's a bowling centre and has a crystal maze there! It's awesome!!!

And that would be amaaaazing :p And we can go to the crystal maze lmao :p and Oakwood :p

Omg do they?! WOW!
Well... I never really see him out of work, I've only given him a lift home twice and we didn't exactly talk very much haha. but he's different in work now to how he was before. Argh.
Aww I want to go to the crystal maze now!!!
I'm back at home (Yorkshire) for a few days now. Going down to Stoke to pick all my things up tomorrow, pay my fines and collect assignments. Blockbuster have sent me a bill for £8 because I returned four DVDs an hour late
I'm not looking forward to going really *shakes head* Most people have vacated the Cliff so it's going to be very lonely. So many bad things happened in the few days before I left. All the fun times and memories I had in the couple of months before those two days have been spoiled.
I was burning all my photos to disc earlier and I flicked through a few uni ones. There was good times in amongst all the bad. The first month and last six weeks there was wonderful.
Sam sent me a message on the train home. He's failed his exams and a few other things have happened. I was having a good day up to that then it felt like somebody had dropped an anvil on me. I really do miss him and I was starting to get used to not speaking for a few days. It's been so hard not having him to talk to, watch a dvd with or just generally have fun. Things have changed so much is so little time.
I keep randomly bursting into tears. I got off the train and just sat on the platform and cried. Yesterday I was crying in the shower over nothing.
My bed is calling. I have a headache and my bones are weary.

English exam today was ace! The second part anyway. Chose the question that said...
if you could choose anywhere, where would you most like to live? Explain your reasons.
I was like GET IN! Because me and a friend really really wanna live in Las Vegas when we're done with Uni and all that.
Section A was not so good. All morning i've been saying to my friend Kathryn, I realllllly hope the question is not on 'Not My Business' as I only realised yesterday that I hadn't done that one because I was at a college day thing when they did in class. Opened the paper and it was on that poem!! Kathryn was sat 6 seats in front of me, turned around and was laughing. I was not however! lmao. Ahh well I think i've done okay (n) but we'll see come results day; which we got letters about today and is August 20th (:
I thought the A Level results day was the 20th and GCSE the 27th.

I thought the A Level results day was the 20th and GCSE the 27th.
Well tbh so did I, cos I went on another school's website today and theirs said the 27th and then we got this letter at the end of are exam saying the 20th so idk lol
It does seem a bit late; my GCSE's were on the 21st last year and the A Levels are always the week before GCSE.
Yeah, AS and A2 results are always out a week before GCSEs to give schools and colleges time to help students sort out UCAS business.
A level results are definitely 20th and GCSE the following week.
Had a busy day. There was a little tear in my eye and a lump in my throat when I locked my door for the very last time. Went to pick my assignments up, missed out on a first (4%) because of one picture being out of focus. Hopefully I'll have done well on the sketch and it'll even out.
My lecturer wouldn't tell me the result of one of my assignments because it hasn't been verified yet. He did say it was excellent and I have absolutely nothing to worry about.
Shower and catch up with some programs in bed methinks :)
wow abigail you sound like your doing really well at uni :D
wow abigail you sound like your doing really well at uni :D
Yeah...
I'm the only person who can see that getting firsts in almost everything without doing work is wrong. I've missed half the lectures, done the bare minimum for assignments and started revising a few days before for the exams. And still I come out with high grades  It's not a good mentality to go through life with *shakes head*

had a really huge panic today. went on the student system to check my marks for this term. one of my module overall marks said 35 (which is a fail) and id worked out i could fail my last assignment and still pass so i thought id done really badly and only got like 5% or something! when i went on it to see my individual marks for that module i actually hadnt failed but cos one of my marks hadnt been verified it didnt count so the system thought id failed! it scared me cos the other years it normally still counts the marks even when theyre not verified
apart from that ive just been packing my stuff cos im going to brighton tomorrow :)
Wrong attitude, Abigail, you are fortunate to have had an educational background that allows you to understand and build on your education. It is NOT wrong to get good grades, you have worked for those grades, even if feel you might have had to work less than somebody else hat to. It is YOUR ACHIEVEMENT, nobody else's.
wow abigail you sound like your doing really well at uni :D

You were due some high marks though after the effort that you put into A Levels that didn't turn out as well.
I feel the same, i did quite well in the january exams and a lot of my friends who put in alot more effort than me failed, and i thought that was wrong, but my lecturer told me that i probably just have a good technique, i have a funny feeling it wont have workwed this time round, but we'll just have to wait and see for results which i have no idea when they will come out. I have been told mid July but it could be any time know ing my department.
Congratulations on your friends baby
I hate when that happens Di M, the amount of panics i have had by misinterpreting or reading the wrnog information of computers has been unreal!
I have been in my bed ill since Tuesday. Caught a virus on the plane and ended up quite unwell. I had to call the doctor out yesterday to give me an anti-vomiting injection and a painkiller injection because I couldn't keep anything down and was crying with the pain in my head.
Ruled out mennigitis and swine flu so I am going to be fine!
Feel much better today, thank god, just sore throat and general achiness. It is my Dad's 70th Birthday do tonight I would hate to miss it.
I feel really lazy for staying in bed until 12.40pm. I haven't done that for ages and considering all the stuff I have to do today, it wasn't a good idea.
I've had headache for the past couple of days that won't shift :( Don't think over sleeping helped though :wall:
I have to sort out my wardrobes today (mum just shoved all her rubbish in them while I've been at uni) before I can begin to unpack my uni boxes. Really not looking forward to this.
I'm learning the art of saying 'no' and not giving someone what they want. It's difficult to resist but I'm just not in the mood to play tonight. Sam's going to be proud of me when I tell him what I've done :) (Yes, this does involve yet another person of the opposite sex).
I'm starting to feel like men only want one thing out of me  Even Sam tried to jump my bones countless times.
Been so busy this afternoon. My knees have swollen up with getting up and down every few minutes. My wardrobes are pretty much empty. Hopefully I'll have a bit of money once I get everything on ebay. I'm rather annoyed that things I haven't even worn or only worn once don't fit.

Sounds like you had the same virus I got after being in an aircraft :( Good that you are feeling better, all the best xx
I'm experiencing "low mood" as the university leaflet calls it. I want to ring Sam and tell him how I'm feeling and what I want to do but I can't verbalise it. His phone isn't accepting texts either.
It's past the point of crying at random things. For the past couple of hours I've been sat here staring out of the window. There's so much that needs to be done but I can't find the motivation to do it.
I confused myself last night when I said no. Then I thought about it when I woke up and realised that the only reason was because of the past three months and everything that happened.
So now I can't stop thinking about what's happened recently and I don't like it. I'm arguing with my mum again. Last night I actually thought I might be able to live at home over the summer but she's been winding me up something chronic today.
All I want to do is get on a plane, anywhere in the world and just disappear.
I'm sorry to keep whinging and I know I did say there wasn't going to be any more.I'm trying to control myself but it's not working very well.

Today I have felt the most relaxed in a long time.
For the last month I have been pulling my hair out trying to find divine inspiration to write my latest essay and nothing seemed to happen when I tried to study. At one stage I had started to suffer from panic attacks and I even started to question myself on whether I had chosen the right course or not.
Now today I have more of an idea of how to construct my 2 essays and I'm aware that I'm a little over the deadline and will get a low grade but in my mind it's better then not trying at all :(
I am finding living with a dog extremley difficult, but i eally want to make it work as its really difficult between me and my mum now.
I think it will just take time now.
im going to the cinema laterl, should be good, not sure what to see yet. had quite a nice day watching the sport on telly, Cricket 2020, football qualifiers, the Lions, I miss sky! when im at uni.

I started a degree with the Open University this year as I wanted to still keep working as well as study. I have started to the road to try and gain a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies. The first module which I’m in the middle of completing is based around Social Science. The last essay I am late in submitting is based around Darwin’s theory on evolution…….

Yes, unfortunately. The lovely people at the exam boards have decided to put 3 of my exams together, and so monday, tuesday and thursday will consist of a English and psychology sandwich - URGH!

Thanks! Urm, kind of, i think i know more than i think i know, but i don't feel like its going in. I probably should have done more revision in half term and stuff - but hey can't go back - just trying my best to do some now (not really giving off a good impression being on here )

Drama written is on the 19th, so i've got like a week and a bit to concentrate on the one exam - which'll be good considering i've actually done NOTHING for it so far!

It could be an idea to report it to the police I have had my cards stolen before and I did so as a precaution.

thats ok just never thought of posting before I post on other online newspaper sites and only used to use this site to check up on the soaps I like to watch. Then a topic caught my eye today and I decided to post then to be a quiet soul.........
The OU is going well started this year at times keeping myself motivated can be hard but I have to keep reminding myself why i'm doing this degree. Some nights i'm tired from work and too tired to study but I still attempt it. One day soon it will be worth it in the end.
See what the police can do no harm in reporting it. I had my card cloned some years back and that was a scary experience:(
Which thread made you decide to post?
Having to teach myself in my own time would do my nut in. I can be very lazy when it comes to doing work unless somebody structures it and makes me do it.

Feeling good today but that is due to me heading out today and doing some clothes shopping and I think getting a few things from Monsoon and River Island has put a smile on face.
Bought my first maxi dress and a few pairs of shoes :)
Looking forward to this evening watching the final of The Apprentice. I wonder who will win? I know the contestants haven't been as interesting as the past years but I have watched the show for the last 10 weeks I have to see who wins.
I am having a good day as I managed to put something on paper for my essay- overall a productive day......
Yes, unfortunately. The lovely people at the exam boards have decided to put 3 of my exams together, and so monday, tuesday and thursday will consist of a English and psychology sandwich - URGH!
Trying to balance my time between the subjects isn't working and there is SO MUCH information why oh why oh why did i pick 3 really horrible subjects!
[/end rant] :p
I had similar. Psychology, Business and English sandwich. I couldn't balance my time well at all and English got neglected. Probably not the best subject for it to happen to lol. When's your Drama one?
Its horrible! Yes i think my english one's are going to be slightly neglected. But psychology i feel is going to be poop to, compared to the rest of my marks for the subject :( Sad times.
Drama written is on the 19th, so i've got like a week and a bit to concentrate on the one exam - which'll be good considering i've actually done NOTHING for it so far!
Im the same, I havent done anything for that exam
Im sOOOOOOO tired, had a friends 18th last night and I stayed at her house
Didnt get much sleep and I have work soon
i hate when the exams are put really close together, mine were awful for that this year. Good luck with them all. Have a good prom Tannie, i remember mine which was quite a long time ago now, well not really 4 years its long enough, enjoy it.
i have been to the cinema this evening with y friend, it was really nice, not seen her in ages. It was really good. Just at home now warming up! its freezing. Oh and i finally installed the wireless, we are actually now in the 21st century! Its much faster as well which is always good. Tomorrow, we are going to brace the wonderful world of Ikea, marvelous.
Thanks. I will i'll post photos afterwards.
Today i've kind of tidyed my room. it's cleaner then it was to begin with actually lol. so just go to finish that but i need the motivation now.
ive tidied my room as well, it really needed doing, i doubt its going to stay clean for long though.
Just having a look at some flights to go over to Ireland and visit the family. should be good going to take my dad. Visit my aunties and my cousins.
well my friend left today, she was staying with me for a week, so been good to have my space back! just been relaxing really, tidying up, catching up on 3 WEEKS worth of Hollyoaks on 4OD haha, and just being a lazy sod really :D
but the fun of the past week ends here - two weeks of working every day, it's going to drag so badly as the shop is dead for the last two weeks of term - booo!
bring on the summer is what i say!!! at least there's Big Brother to watch every night from now on, wooop! :D
Im the same, I havent done anything for that exam
Im sOOOOOOO tired, had a friends 18th last night and I stayed at her house

The fact we can take in notes helps i suppose! Still need to deffo get my head round Trojan Women - ooh the joys!
At least you went out i've pretty much become a recluse the last few days - i'm only allowed swimming, to work or to designated revision sessions! CAN NOT WAIT for my friends 18th - the same day as the drama exam - that night will be goooooooooooooooooooooood :D
Worked today - was BUSY, open farm sunday and all that jazz. Now revising (again) for my psychology exam on tuesday. Tomorrow morning is revision for english synoptic which is tomorrow afternoon - the urgency i have towards tomorrow is quite funny!

I've had a rather good day :) Good day at work - as usual.
Though one of the managers is leaving Thurs, this was my last day to see her, and we got her pressies and stuff, and was going to give her them at the end of the day, but she went home early  Haha. So we left them on her desk for tomorrw. Me and one mate who are weekend staff was so annoyed ha, we wanted to see her reaction :p Apparantly she would have cried, cos she's been really upset about leaving lmao. Ah well :( I'll miss her :(.
Now I'm attempting some college work - it's kinda going ok, but now I'm bored. Researching Canada all night does that to you. Sounds like an awesome place though, I really wanna go there now!

I got a video of the family wedding I was at 2 years ago and I didn't believe what a great dancer I was :rotfl: :rotfl: The video last for 1 hour with the first half the wedding and the second half the disco. I don't know if there is anyway of editing the clips as I was going to see if I could stick them on the members photo thread and give you all a good chuckle.
I didnt bother going into college today
The english lessons are so pointless now and I would have had 11-12 lunch then back again for 1-2 and I didnt see the point
I have 2 biolofy exams on friday which need more attention and are far more important
I've been in bed most of the day. Couldn't sleep last night then was up at 7.45am. Went back to bed about 9.30am. I'm just so tired :(
Going to have a slice of chocolate cake and finish reading yesterday's papers now :)

Got my first exam of the week tomorrow - our second RE. stupid catholic school makes us do two, 1hour 45min papers (n) can't remember one of the things we need for it so have emailed my techer and will have to see what she says! Hopefully will go okay.
then got history on thursday and science on friday (which is 20 minutes, not even worth getting out of bed for! it's a good job I love science 8-) )
and then that's it - done with school! It's gone soooo quick and I am actually going to miss that place, been the best five years of my life. I never actually thought I would end up not wanting to leave tbh. it's strange.

Todays been alright :)
I went to the bank about my card and luckily nothings been taken out of my account and my new card will be with me thursday which is a good job since I need to buy a ball ticket and dress... I can't even be bothered to go yet though.
Then I drove my Nan and Granch to this Garden Centre in Chepstow... well that was an experience lol.
I'm going to get some school stuff done for a bit and then see what happens tonight since I feel like a late night trip to Asda lol... they're great fun!
i have been job hunting again, it is so pointless! there is no jobs anywhere, got to write a cover letter for a vacancy i saw today in a shop window, so fingers crossed. I am beginning to lose the will with this now.
Really tired now all that walking has taken it out of me so going to have a night watching telly, and eat chocolate.

Ruled out mennigitis and swine flu so I am going to be fine!

I know how you feel, well kinda. I've been trying to get a job since christmas, I've applied for so many I think my printer must be sick of printing my CV out. I did get an interview in one, and they got it down to between me and another person out 80 that had interviews and the bloke rang me and was saying for ages how he really wished they could have picked me because he was impressed with my application and interview but they had to go with this other person because they had previously worked in retail. Then i'm like, how the hell can I get experience if nobody will hire me?! :wall: Applied for two more on friday, they close tomorrow and I can't remember when the other one does but fingers crossed something good will come of this one.

I hate it when that happens. I've tried to wear mine around the house, i'm fine when i'm sitting down but if i'm walking around in them it hurts like hell. There is no way i'm sitting down at prom.
Some people are so ignorant! I answered the phone and this man was like mumbling and I couldn't make out what he'd said so I said, 'pardon,' and he grumbled at me and put the phone down without saying anything else!
Hope you work something out with your foot Tannie.
Got a text from my friend earlier who thinks we have an assembly first thing tomorrow. Nice way to avoid the lesson for the subject I want to drop, lol. Really don't want to go to second lesson either. The teacher went through the answers after the last exam and I don't have a way of getting out of it this time. If I've got something wrong I'd rather not know, I worry about results enough as it is.

Can you not wear them to go there and for pictures and stuff - and then change into some flat ones when you sit down and then for the dancing and stuff?
We had a sit down meal for prom - and loads of people just took their heels off because they wanted to dance/too high.
Alternatively - wear flip flops! A girl this year wore flip flops to our sixth form ball because she couldn't find any heels - it was different and everyone thought it was fab haha!!
Urgh - psychology exam today, was alright could have been better i was praying for a nice question and i got a mediocre one - ah well  2nd english one tomorrow - not holding out much hope!

I'm not sure i can cause of the length of my dress. It's pretty long on me, hench why my heels are pretty high. I'm going to have to think of something through.

Don't get those party feet!! they make your foot go higher into the shoe (squashing your toes) and don't stop the pain either (the heel ones are good though)

Omg... not had a good day at all!
Went to look at a car, took my Mum Brother and Sister for a little dirve... got out to view this car and all was well and dandy.. went to get back in and couldn't because me being the absolute sozzle head I am had locked my car keys into my car!
Good job we was parked outside car places because my brother had to go and get a man to break into my car basically! Haha
And then took my brother to kfc and he tipped his drink and food in my car! Was not impressed.. then coming back to mine my drink tipped on the seat and as I tried to pick it up not thinking.. looked up to see myself driving straight into another car! so I tried to hit the breaks panicing.. and hit the accelerator instead! But luckily I managed to slam the breaks on in time! I narrowly missed the car.
...There is no way I'm driving to dancing tonight, my Granch can drive us lol

And then I can finally get my tongue pierced too! :D had a major arguement with my mum and dad after my 16th cos I said I wanted it done, and they said if I waited till I'd done my exams then they would pay for me to have it done. So they are doing lmao. Think I might get it done friday after prom when my sister gets her ear done as a 13th b'day present off me. But we shall see!
Feel like a right tramp today. Haven't even got dressed! Was gonna have a lie in tomorrow as exam isn't till half 1 but my friend text me earlier saying we'll go in to revise in the morning first. Ahh well, it'll save me trying to cram tonight!
If you don't know if by tomorrow morning then you never will. Last minute cramming never worked for me, I just remembered the stuff I'd crammed and nothing else.
Good luck :) You got any other celebratory plans?

I know everything that I need to, it's just a case of going over stuff now. It's not too bad anyways because paper two tomorrow is the sources paper for history.
I don't think so, might just have a drink with a few friends but nothing planned so far!

I have sources tomorrow too. Went to see teacher with a couple of others today. He gave us a really good plan to follow. (If you want just ask) :)
Back to school today. My friend and I have been chasing teachers about all day trying to get the withdrawal forms for our fourth subject signed.
I wasn't very impressed to find that my two other friends had gone to Bristol Uwe open day. I really want to go to one of their open days but my mum refuses to drive me :( The school are doing a trip to Southampton University open day - typical, I'm not so keen on the courses there.
I have Business coursework to do already - the tasks seem vague at A2.
i hope they do, i think at the minute the cat isnt to happy on his territory being invaded and also the lack of attention he seems to be getting in comparasion.
Its probably a good idea to go in early and have a last minute look over the notes. Thats good then Hollie, i had some of my friends trying to learn stuff on the morning of the exam and theres just noway things will go in then. Good luck with your exams.
I reamember i just went home after my prom as i was only 16 when i left school, so we couldnt have really gone anywhere as we were all too young, and at sixth form it was very informal. so we just went to the pub.
I tripped today :( stupid foot is sore yet again, does not help me! But bring on tomorrow :D i can't wait!
Posting here usually cheers me up, hope it does this time.
I am so busy at work, I am travelling miles every day, give presentations to people who really don't give a toss imo, standing for a couple of hours at a time and now my back is killing me. Had to leave bellydancing lessons early because I could not stand the pain anymore. :crying: Another 3 weeks of the busy work load before I think it will ease off again. Just feeling down because as usual, OH fooking useless. Why are a lot of men so unable to deal with illness/pain, even if it is not their own? :searchme:

Most men are the same Perdita, unless they're dying of man flu in which case they need all the attention and sympathy.
A few painkillers, hot bath and an early night :) Like you say, you've got three weeks then it should get easier.
It's not long until your well deserved holiday is it?
2 biology exams on friday, I feel sick at the thought of it

Very happy now. I could not find my driving licence last weekend ( I have the credit card type) and have been looking for it in all sort of places, no luck. Decided this afternoon to get a replacement and got onto the dvla website. It said that I needed a credit card and when I took my credit out of my purse, my driving licence was tucked in behind in the compartment. :D A day's rest has also helped with my back pain a lot, should be ok for work again tomorrow. :)
that was lucky!
I had a maor panic as before i couldnt find my passport, but its all ok, we have found it now. Got to go and redo my student loan form as i have messed it up again. Such a pain.

She hates driving unfortunately so I don't think that will work. I don't know if you will know the answers to all of these, but if you do:
The course I'm looking at is on Frenchay Campus. What's it like there?
Do they permit cars? (Hope to have passed my test by the time I go.) I couldn't find anything about that in the prospectus. :hmm:
Is there a minimum distance that you have to be away from the uni in order to qualify for accommodation in the first year? And if so what is it? I haven't found that in the prospectus as yet either.
That's all I can think of at the moment; thanks. I'll get back to you if I think of anything else.
you could try posting a message on the student room Kim? There are loads of students on there from all the different unis and most are able to give you a good idea of the place.
I really am gonna fail these exams tomorrow
I'm sure it will be ok Abbie, Good luck anyway. What are you planning on doing next year?
I just had an email saying my results are out on the 10th July!!! Argh!! I am not wanting these at all, fingers crossed there are no resits.

cool that sounds good, im sure you will. You seem to be working hard and doing a lot of revision.
im trying to see if i can get any sort of benefit, either that or extend my overdraft, i am so skint at the moment. Need to go to the bank tomorrow and the job centre.

Not 28 days yet i dont think, im going to go to the job centre, but im not sure if there is anything they can do. I can probably live on my overdraft or get a loan from my parents and pay them back when i get my loan through but i dont really want to do that.
Heard theres meant to be a job at tescos wher my friend works so i can always try but when they realise i will be back at uni in septemebter and i have no retail experience they wont touch me! ARgh!!!!!
Try anyway, they might just give you a chance. How are people meant to get experience if employers don't give them the opportunity to learn.
At my local Tesco you only get a job if you know someone that works there e.g. parent, sibling or friend. Half of my year group who I went to school with work there now  I didn't know enough people :(
My kidney is really hurting, especially when I stand or sit up. I've also got a molar coming through and there isn't enough room for it. A couple of the boney bits are coming out of the side of my gum instead the bottom. Oh joy.
So overall, along with a few other things, I'm not really having a good day :(
Sorry to hear that, Abigail. Rest and a visit to the dentist for you, I think. Hope you are feeling better soon. xx
I have to send my HC1 form off because I can't afford to pay dentist fees and a possible extraction. The joys of being a student
Cloves of Clover are a good herbal thing for pain relief until you can see a dentist :)

No more exams EVER. Or until next year at least ha.
Finished school today. I feel so grown up. I don't think it's actually hit me though yano. Like I thought I'd be dead upset, cos we went back to say good bye to our form tutor who we've had for four years and I thought I'd cry, me being the emotional person that I am! But I didn't it'll probably hit me over the weekend when I realise I'm officially a bum! - Out of school and out of work! However, I do have a job interview tonight so fingers crossed! It's only for saturdays but it's better then nothing at the minute and my mum came home yesterday and said that if I want, I can get a job up where she works at the children's centre, I can work in one of the nursery rooms where as my mum does family support/link work like social services etc.
Hope everyone else has had a good week (: and thanks everyone for wishing me luck through out the exams :D
Never heard of them. Chemist?
Supermarket, spices and herbs :)
Ooh, well done Hollie! Hope ou get the job as well.
I have handed in yet another load of application forms. Hoping my phone bill doesnt go out anytime soon. Just watching TV tonight, im sor tired, so not going to go out, theres always next week.
I am uber happy seriously. Don't think i've been this happy in a long time.
Last night was amazing. I'll post a picture of me when i get one uploaded onto my laptop. Amazing night, had a couple of drinks but didn't get drunk. A few people did and it was soo funny! Best friend stayed last night and had another drink while watching Wild Child.
Then went over to edinburgh shopping. Got clothes and Mamma Mia again. Ordered a pizza for tea and had another drink of smirnoff ice with Lucy. And now she's away i'm home. I'm watching the end of Mamma Mia, and then going to bring the washing in:D

Ugh my english exam was rubbish :( at first I thought yeah I could do this, this is ok.... then I ran out of time and rushed most of it :(
I then went to my brothers sports day and got chased by a wasp... I think I deserve a gold ribbon for fighting the thing off! Haha
Then I got home and had a niceee batha nd then fell asleep, then I went out for a little drive in my Mums new car which she is obsessed with haha and I've not long got home from going out with 2 of my mates for a kebab and brownies from Asda.. happy days :)
And now I'm watching Twilight... I aboslutely love it! I didn;t think I'd see the hype over it, but I really really do!
I was the same with twlilight y sister was all hyped like most the country and was like you really have to this its really good, so i gave it a go and really enjoyed.
I'm thinking of putting my Kidney up for sale to!
need to book a train ticket back to bangor so i can help the others clean the house. and pay this rest of my bills. 65 quid, not impressed not even been there put my names on the contracts so have pay up realy, dont want to end up in court.
Theres police up by the paper mill cause there was a fire last night, i don't know if it was a bad one but there were two fire engines. I'm sitting here on edge expecting one of them to come to my door, but my mums asleep. So it'll probably just be me that gets questioned but thats only if they come cause it looked like no one was in last night! I was absolutley terrified last night for no reason. I deteste fire. The pub next to me caught fire when i was 5 and i was terrified! I sat up in my room in tears last night, texting my mum (who was on night shift). I hate being in the house on my own when that happens. And there goes another police car!

Have you got a rail card? You might save money when you buy a rail card and ticket together.
My rail card paid for itself the first time I used it.
yeah i have a rail card, life saver arent they!
hope the fire wasnt too bad Tannie, i hate fire as well! I set our house on fire when i was three, have been terrified ever since.
Just found out my cousins girlfriend had a baby on tuesday evening, called him Noah, im dead chuffed for him. Cant wait to see the little man!
I dunno if it was bad but i never got questioned. There was like 3 police cars, a sniffer dog and a van! One man got arrested i think but i don't know cause i wasn't going to sit at the window all the time! lol.
Congratulations to your cousin katy :D
yeah i have a rail card, life saver arent they!
Definitely. I've saved hundreds of pounds using mine.
65 quid for a ticket is ridiculous
I'm so tired :( Took the dogs to the beach, tidied the house and just had a roast chicken dinner. Think it's time for another snooze.
Tell me about it, i have no idea why it is that much either, but i think i should be able to get it down if i book two single tickets and book it in loads of stages, ill investigate anyway there is no way i am paying that much for one day!
Been into town today and got some sunglasses (there's no sun now, typical!) Going to get some more work out of the way now I think. EMA haven't paid me for one of the weeks of my exams so need to sort that next week.

She numbed it but I'm not gonna lie - it hurt a fair bit lol. Can't wait to get the bar changed next weekend cos they put a long one in to start with for the swelling so because it's so long I've got me a lisp ha.
Glad you had a good night tannie :D

I don't like fire either Tannie.... my aunty managed to set our kitchen on fire years ago. I ahve to check that the cooker is off eveyrnight ike 2/3 times now. I'm awful.
Not a very good day. I was supposed to go and see a car tomorrow, but the girl has cancelled because she's repariing it now... I'm really really not having much luck with this driving lark.
And I found out in work today that Adam had 2 tickets to go and see Oasis last night but his mate dropped out so he wouldn't go on his own... so he didn;t go!! I was well mad lol. I would've gone!
And I dropped a bin on my foot in work and my foot is bruised :( plus I have so much work to do still and I jsut don't know where I'm going to get the time from at all.

So sorry to have missed your birthday yesterday Abbie and Tori hope you both had a fab day. We have had thunder and lightning and rain most of the weekend and yesterday, then I had to go to the school to collect Marley as she came out with an alergic reaction rash and I'm disapearing under a mountain of paper work on my desk
My colleague who had premature twins has lost one of her much longed for and beloved babies.
The surviving baby is struggling and she is in all our thoughts at work.
I don't think that my place of work can take any more tragedy and we are all praying that baby pulls through.
On top of that my close friend has be diagnosed with a degenerative bone disease and our office ceiling is leaking after recent thunderstorms.
We all need to count our blessings and realise just how lucky we are in life.
Aww, Trinity, you have had a lot of bad news recently. But I am sure that things will become better again, chin up xx :)
I'm sorry to hear about the baby. I hope things get better soon for you.
I love thunderstorms :) We had one the other night and the puppy was crying. She hates loud or sudden noises.
I'm feeling under the weather in all aspects :( I just want to hide under a duvet and not talk to anyone for a while.
Got my last Hpv jag and all i can say is Ouch. My arms killing, took ibruprofen cause i had a headache, it's cured my headache but not my arm
Also i was hoping to go to the zoo with friends tomorrow. It's going to cost a bomb even if i use my mums discount (cause she works for edinburgh council) and apparently its going to rain.
You really havent had much luck at you r work Trinity, hope the baby pulls thorugh.
I have a few a busy few days, going to watch my sisters play tomorrow at her college, then i am going to lean my old house in Bangor.
Beome slightly obsesses with Spooks, bought the DVDs and have watched like 4 episodes today, nearly finished series 2 now,.

I LOVE this weather. Even if it is chucking it down - I want to go dance in the rain! And the thunder storm yesterday was fab.
A friend of ours, who I also babysit for gave birth to her little girl yesterday, everbody has their fingers crossed for her as her baby girl died last year at only 10 days old of pneumonia (sp?) so the nurses gave both mum and baby some antibiotics just to be on the safe side. She already has two children Jack whos 5 and olivia is 3 next month, can't wait to go see baby Anabel.

Sorry to hear about your friends baby Trin. you really have had a sh1t six months, hopefully the twin will pull through. More rain today and it's freezing. Are we sure it's summer.
Funeral is monday. I don't think I can go - I just cannot face it.
I've done something to my neck :( Woke up this early morning and couldn't move it. It felt like someone was jabbing me with a blunt stick. Deep heat worked for a bit, as did heat packs. Tried to sleep but spent two hours trying keep the pain at a minimum and not move too much.
I'm laid on the sofa (which was a task in itself) unable to move my right arm above my head and my left at all. I can move slightly to the right but not the left. The frozen peas are helping better than heat but the muscles are all seized up.
So today I've done nothing.
Do you think you might have caught a chill by sleeping with the window open? That can make my neck ache sometimes. Hope you are feeling better soon. :)
I always sleep with the window open, even in winter. Probably just slept funny.
Not laughing now though, are you :D
Well I wasn't until I read that! Ouchy
haha, i had to read that twice before i got that! i really am dim!
Been to see my little sisters play today, it was really good. Some really good actors there considering its a college drama class.
Got toothache now though, really sore. Hopefully it will go soon.
Almost there Abbie! Then months of freedom before uni and a pretty cushy life for the next three years :D Apart from lectures, assignments and exams.
Good luck to you and everyone else who are still doing exams :)
And im going out on friday night! finally :p
I order season 1 of ER today :D cant wait till that arrives!
I've been vomiting all morning :( I can't even keep water down. Didn't sleep well last night so my body feels like it's been run over.

Kinda anoyyed today, it's been almost a week since my job interview and I've heard nothing back from them. It woulda been nice for them to ring even if I didn't get it; last time they did but in a different department. So that's kinda bugged me, would have just been courtesy to be honest.
On a plus note my tongue has stopped swelling! :D there's just a teeny bit around the bar now and when that has gone down, i'm going on saturday to get the bar downsized - can't wait - i'll finally be able to talk like a normal person again. :cheer:
English exam is in an hour and a half! :S 2 and half hours long it is as well!!
I need to get something to eat and look through my notes again!

Do you have to be 17 to give blood? I would like to but I'm only 16 (and a half actually :p )
I'm on the donor register and that but I do actually wanna give blood too. Something my friends think i'm mad for doing but hey, it's for a good cause.

Haha, made me laugh too
I spent my whole afternoon in A&E. Slept until 12pm then got woken up to say the doctor was coming to see my sister. He admitted her to hospital as he thought she had a DVT. Her clotting levels are slightly raised so she has to go back tomorrow morning for a scan.
I feel so ill :( Almost fainted a few times in A&E (at least I was in the right place :p). It's as if I'm hungover yet I haven't drank for nearly a week :searchme: Shower and bed methinks.
You should have mentioned it there and then, why did you not? You should get yourself checked out, hun, so you can get the appropriate treatment. If you are no better after shower and bed, please consider seeing the doc :)
