The idea is that if you have any site-related problems or questions, you post them in this thread and then a moderator will be able to reply and help you out!

why do some people have little + 's next to their names?? The "+" means that they are in your buddy list. Go to their profile to remove them from your buddy list. It's just so you can easily see if your mates are online!

You may notice that some threads on this forum also include a section where you can vote on an issue or question. These threads are called 'polls' and this is how to create them:

Creating a new poll

Originally I was able to post polls, then around the time that the 500 posts rule was introduced for banners, I couldn't find the poll option anymore. It reappeared again when I got 500 posts.
I didn't try changing anything in the User CP section though, so I guess that might work. Otherwise I suggest you wait and see what happens when you get 500 posts because that worked for me. (Not too many posts to go before you're there!) :)

I presumed the rule was introduced because there were too many polls being posted. I remember at one point almost all of the threads in the Eastenders General section were polls.

An alert is just an alert anyway, it doesn't count for anything except to alert you to the fact you've done something wrong.

Different warnings have a different number of warn points. When you get 5 warn points, you get a temporary ban. The warnings mature after a while though and are no longer valid. The warn points only count from valid warnings.

Alerts are given if you break a small rule, like text talk, posting in the wrong forum etc... If you have been alerted for this before though, you could be given a warning for it.

It is possible to get an instant permanent ban for severely breaking an important rule, like abusing other members or doing what WQ did.

When I got the money refunded, I did it again, but was told by a friend to lift the pop up block before I did it, I removed blocker and got my glow, then put the blocker back on.

The warning will always be logged on your screen, but it won't apply anymore, it's just for reference, with got an alert thats been there for months, they just stay on your screen, but they are only for refersence, after the warning time is up, don't worry. Hope this make sense.

Signatures are supposed to be 524 x 124 i think.

you'll get an alert or two if your signatures too big, if you fail to sort it- you'll get it removed by NB and also get a warning

People can rate your posts and how good they are. You start off with 10 points which will increase when someone rates a post of yours as good, and decrease when it's rated bad.

11 points means your swap shop post was rated highly by a poster!
