New teen heading for Albert Square

[Perdita]

EastEnders producers have cast unknown actress Lauren Crace as the soap's new teenage character Danielle Jones.

19-year-old Danielle arrives on Albert Square and quickly captures the attention of fellow newcomer Callum Monks (Elliott Jordan), who will be seen on screens for the first time in August.

The romance plot becomes more complicated when Callum also sets his sights on Stacey Branning (Lacey Turner), soon after she hires Danielle to work on her market stall.

Lauren, 22, revealed: "I'm thrilled. It's a great first role and I just can't wait to see what is in store."

Producer Diederick Santer added: "Lauren is a real find - a lovely, talented and hugely watchable actress."

i could be totally wrong here, but the first thing i thought when i read the article and saw this girls pic was that i bet she turns out to be ronnies daughter. what does everyone else think? cos apparently in inside soap it said her daughter was already living on the square and im pretty certain her daughters not dead. i could be way off though

I thought that as well. Wouldn't it be brilliant if she were? Then Roxy would see what a nasty man her Dad was, lying about the baby being dead.

I thought the same thing about her being Ronnie's daughter aswell, and like you said Di Marco it would go with what the soap mags have ben saying about her kid already living on the street
I think it woul be good if they did it this way, as ronnie wont know it is her daughter so wont be nice and false lol

i like it too. plus i was thinking why are they bringing this random character in with no job on the square or connection to anyone. the Mitchells are a 'known' family so it is feasible that if she knew her mum came from the east end of london she could track her down.
