Why does the Ryan storyline stop you fast forwarding through the Steeeeeeeephen bits?

Bad grammar. There is nothing that would stop me from whizzing through the Steeeeeephen bits unless it was a scene where someone was giving him a damn good thrashing. I should have said the Ryan bits keep me watching Corrie at normal speed. Sadly scene involving super Transatlantic lawyer Dee Dee may soon make it on to the ff list

Poor Ruby is left out again. No invite to the party. No friends to talk to. Left on her own while mum and dad are out dancing, nan working in Dev's or in the Rovers and sister out with her friends.

Hearing a lot of 'yeah no' as in 'are you ok?'- 'yeah no, I'm ok'.
I'm confused... what are they replying 'no' to?

There is a danger in showing kids in soaps getting very drunk all the time as being seen as normal behaviour. Perhaps it is and I'm out of touch.

In fairness to Traceyluv she probably meant she understood the reasoning behind it. How many of us have used drink as an excuse? Long term it doesn't help but short term its acrutch

I haven't for one. And I agree with Dennis. excusing it doesn't help anyone. It's a "crutch" that can lead to long term abuse that needs to be dealt with not excused.

Thats what I tried to say - Its used as a short term crutch but in the long term it doesn't help. I speak from experience as someone who has been involved in several life threatening issues and at the time alcohol was seen as a quick fix. Back in the day there was no such thing as PTSD or counselling
