Lola's father was Dan Pearce who was taken from his mother Julie Perkins a week after he was born. Billy did not know he existed until later. Not sure why he was a Pearce rather than a Mitchell or a Perkins, maybe fostered or adopted by a Pearce family.
Just seen something that says Dan's adoptive father was a Mr Pearce, so Lola was given her father's adopted name.
