I know life events can have profound effects on people, but I struggle to think Nicola would have been so broken by her experience. She has always been portrayed as as strong confident individual, and I accept that being beaten up by the gang could have had a profound effect on her, confidence. But I feel they are overdoing the way she has been affected by Naomi's presence in the village, especially now she knows that Naomi did not actually take part in the beating. The old Nicola may have have been more likely to set about Naomi. I wonder if this story would not have been better told with another character, like Lauel or Bernice?

How thick is Vinny, that he cannot see Sandra's plotting. A phone call asking him to clear an industrial estate just as he is about to book a flight to Spain. How likely is it that someone would ask a one man scrap merchant to clear a whole industrial estate. Apart from the fact that Vinny probably would not have the equipment to do so, I imagine that such jobs are usually tendered for.

True. And now he is going to pay money into her bank account. I doubt Liv knows about that.

And you do not just take their word on a phone call for it.. immediate meeting in person, on site to actually see what needs clearing so he can make arrangements for equipment, manpower etc. As so often, farcical storyline and probably no end in sight for weeks to come still....
