You are probably right that she does not care. But I still think it is stupid to take that risk. Has she spent the two grand already? I would not be so sure that Liv would not throw her out, if she caught her drinking. Is she still drinking? For an alcoholic she seems to be able to stop very easily

I think Liv knows how hard it is to get off the booze, and probably misses having her mum around ... difficult situation to be in.
