I cannot remember seeing many disabled people in the village since Chris Tate. In theory, being set in the Yorkshire Dales, there should be a lot of passing trade from tourists, but we do not see many of them in the pub, just walking with their backpacks or cycling down the main street. More sensible for Charity to have stuck with the Haulage Company.
The Equality Act 2010 requires businesses to make reasonable adjustments that give everyone equal access to their services. As the pub is now a new building it must now have wheelchair access in line with wheelchair regulations UK.

Which makes it all the more puzzling why Charity would want to take it on, knowing she would have to spend money complying with this act, on top of the money she will need to make good the fire damage. There is no new supply of customers to fill the pub, and increase profits.

Does the Malt Shovel still exist?

    All true

Does the Malt Shovel still exist?
Yes but ITV have closed it to customers.

I am not sure how much more a wheelchair ramp would cost when the pub needs rebuilding from scratch....since Covid-19 threw a spanner into the works none of the hospitality businesses have been busy, I also doubt that an Indian restaurant would survive without selling alcohol but then I have never come across a hostelry with no booze licence ever before. If you consider the amount of folk that live AND work in Emmerdale village, it is surprising how any of them make a living and I dare say, that goes to all other soaps. Yet instead of having coffee/tea or breakfast at home, they go to the local cafe... guess just something we need to accept as being normal

I suspect that watching people sitting at home drinking tea or coffee would not be good viewing. This applies to the other soaps as well

Charity also said that work needed to be done to the doors and the toilets, she mention ?15,000, which I think was on top of the building work. Considering that Cain bumped up the price at the auction, this seems to contradict what we have always been told, that she is a good business woman.

Now it is possible we will see Chastity take over running the B&B to give her the two incomes need to buy a house. The B&B which I think only has about 3 or 4 rooms so how much could Eric afford to pay her?

I think prisoners on remand are allowed more visits that those that have been sentenced

I would like to see Meena plead not guilty and get convicted of all offences. Then get a whole life sentence

Are they changing Emmerdale from a Soap to a Sitcom, a not a very good sitcom at that. Comedy arguments between Charity and Chastity, Rhona's comedy mother, Meena's prison visits, not to forget Mandy's engagement for married Liv and Vinny . None of this bears much resemblance to reality. Meena's story should have ended with her going to trial, found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. For her to claim it was Manpreet who killed Andrea is a stretch too far. After all she kidnapped Dawn and Billy and shot Leyla, there is no arguing about that, so it is unlikely anyone would believe her latest claim. Has she been examined by a psychiatrist to determine her mental state?
