    Right, so here's someone who is scared of an intruder getting into their house and possibly harming them and their son, so they get the locks changed. Naturally, the first thing you do once you get your new keys is to put them down on the table and then leave them there out in the open where anyone can access them while you go off for a couple of hours. Makes perfect sense to me.
