Remand prisoners are kept separately if possible, but may have to share with a convicted prisoner if that is not possible. Decisions are made depending on risk, on the charge, or if they have previous convictions. Brixton prison in London only houses remand or prisoners awaiting sentence. It is probably unlikely that Harvey would have a cell on his own, as most prisons here are overcrowed.

Perhaps he told the prison governor that he needed a cell to himself as having a cellmate might interfere with his mobile phone signal.

i like the actor but associate him more with comedy so harvey is a comic panto villain for me

I'm really hoping that the police are secretly allowing Harvey to keep his mobile phone so they can monitor his calls and listen in. Because if that is not the case, it has gone completely past the point of credulity.

Yes, I know it is a bit of a forlorn hope, but surely even the Corrie scriptwriters can't believe that viewers would swallow Harvey's constant use of his mobile phone as in any way credible.....ok, you're right, they can!
