Are you sure he taught Fizz at school? I remember him teaching Rosie Webster at school, and her flirting with him. Don't remember Fizz though.

He might have met her at the school but he could not have been teaching her as she would be about 23 at the time, perhaps she was working there, or they just met in the street or The Rovers. Trouble with introducing characters and stories from a past that did not exist at the time, is that it rarely makes sense.
