I did not see any leaks or spoilers about the Lewis death plot, so it came as a complete surprize and made the episode much more enjoyable (not that I was glad to see Lewis meet his end). This is the way soaps used to be, when we were not told plots in advance, wish they would go back to doing it this way.

Also, she didn't move in with Roy for financial reasons; it was mostly because she needed somewhere to stay near her family when she had kidney failure. I can't believe she stood Roy up - we didn't see her apologise either. Speaking of Roy, he seems to spend most of his time driving batty women around recently. (Evelyn and Mary)
That boat's going to become an eyesore if Peter doesn't move it soon. Are you allowed to keep a huge boat like that on a residential street?

Yes Mary, you are a stupid woman.
Sent from my desktop computer using my fingers on the keyboard.
I can't believe she fell for his lies again. I realise she desperately wanted to believe him but handing over all that money was a step too far. I hope Jude never comes back after this.

I was very surprised at Roy repeating the now discredited story about Margaret Thatcher helping to invent soft ice cream.
Mr-Whippy-style soft-serve ice-cream originated in the US about a decade before Mrs Thatcher worked at J Lyons. When soft-serve arrived in the UK, J Lyons was indeed at the forefront – but it had teamed up with the US ice-cream giant Mister Softee and operated franchises under that name.
Thatcher was a food research scientist at J Lyons but, as a Royal Society article noted in May 2011, the details of her work there are sketchy. She reportedly worked on the quality of cake and pie fillings as well as ice-cream.
The idea of Thatcher helping to invent soft ice cream is really a story invented by her opponents because it added air, lowered quality and raised profits.
I always thought Roy was a stickler for the facts.
