The repeated stupidity of the police is not realistic and not acceptable with such a serious 'acid attack' incident. The £100,000 reward for Simon is a joke too far, especially as it does not really serve plot or character development. Putting Debbie back with Joe, with all the material rewards she has been getting from him, is offensive given their recent history and is an equivalent to Simon's £100,000 for her. I could go on.

My heart really goes out to all those out there watching all this whilst suffering from the consequences of an acid attack, victims and families and friends. Whoever is responsible for this rubbish should be ashamed.
Agree with everything you say here. I also think that sometimes they are not even consistent with the acid attack scars on Ross’s face, there are some scenes where they are worse than others. I, like you, feel very sorry for real life suffers who may be watching this and wondering just what this storyline has to do with the after effects of such a attack. It is just absolute rubbish how it’s portrayed.

It really is. We all expect Soapland to take some liberties with reality for dramatic reasons, but not like this and not for such a serious story line. It's just awful and betrays the fact that it was used to get media attention and that's all. If it was about more than that, then we would have been told a different story and a better one.

Has IM actually shown any ‘serious issue’ storyline through to a believable conclusion? I dread to think what sort of things he’ll get the characters to do in Corrie.

Am I the only one that feels quite nauseous while watching this Laurel & Bob stuff? Just what is so special about Bob?

Thanks for the links, yet again , Eddy.👋

Looks like this Terry guy isn’t all he seems to be. There’s a surprise.

Typical comment from MP - if he wins Best Actor he may be persuaded to stay. The words, big-headed and manipulation, comes to mind. You would never hear Ryan say something like that.

Not a lot of mention of the boys but I’m sure they’ll be involved in those stories somewhere along the way.

There's stuff there that I'm looking forward to, but there's far too much that I am thoroughly bored with, for example the Debbie nonsense. Just because Sarah is angry with her does not mean that she is being punished for what she did! Emmerdale must think we are all stupid if they really believe we will buy that.

As for Michael Parr, I've never really liked him. I've always hated the way he cruelly trolled young Robron fans on twitter, especially after the ONS. He knew these youngsters were upset but he continued making cruel jokes. Not nice at all.

I agree with you on all points. I know technically Debbie did not ask the guy to throw acid but she is still responsible for it happening. She was the one who started it off. It will be good to see if Sarah’s character changes as she was beginning to turn into a mini version of her Mother which was not good to see. Justice needs the be done properly.

I’m particularly bored with the big love interest of Laurel and Bob.

Michael Parr has always been sarcastic in things he has said, just to gain attention, which is very unprofessional in my eyes. I actually won’t miss his character when he leaves.

It’s going to be a long week waiting for the boys to reappear.

BIB - You are correct. For such a serious story line, justice must be done, even if that means that Debbie is written out for a few years. This is not an ordinary soapy issue that Emmerdale chose to feature and use for publicity. Important messages need to be clearly sent out and it's nor too late for this to be done. Something like a police 'breakthrough' or Simon bragging about how he got his £100,000 could bring about the desired goal.

I'll just add that we now know that the village will find out what happened next week. Are we supposed to believe that not one person will inform the police about the acid attack confession? Come on Emmerdale!

Emmerdale stars to take part in charity football match

Story here, together with a pic of a rather muddy Danny Miller.
