Boring and very silly story, contrived beyond belief, with a ridiculous and unbelievable outcome. It's just left me disappointed in Emmerdale and in myself for wasting my time this evening.

Well done to all the players for doing their best with what they had. Nevertheless I hated it.

Fair enough if Joe had got the Home James shares that I could live with as being realistic, but Joe being owner of The Mill is just taking manipulating a situation too far.

I agree that the players did a brilliant job with a very flimsy and badly thought out storyline.

Sorry to be personal but the sooner IM gets the push the better if he believes that stretching what are supposed to be real situations to a point where they just wouldn’t happen is good entertainment.

What annoys me is that they insist on having to permanently tie Robert to Home Farm in storylines. There are plenty other things they could do with him & Aaron that don’t involved HF. It gets very boring. Joe is just a spoilt brat too which doesn’t help the situation.

Robron are worth so much more than this rubbish they land them with.

That was not good enough for Emmerdale to present to an adult audience. That sort of nonsense belongs to a Disney fantasy animation for under 5 year olds and even that audience would be bored.

Emmerdale just make Robert richer or poorer depending on the latest plot-driven requirements. They assume that their loyal viewers will remember nothing.

Your storylines are utter crap. I'm not watching now. I think I'd rather gouge 10 inch nails through my eye sockets than endure one more boring, unnecessary, plot hole that is supposedly a storyline. Trash show.

All we wanted was the “electrifying reunion” & “dates at the Grange” that Iain promised for when back together. Keep hearing about #Robron being loved up - WHY ARENT WE SEEING IT?! Just wanted a few weeks!! Especially after the awful last year! Don’t care about bloody Joe.

well just watched both eps but not caught up here

Ryan and especially Danny were fantastic tonite but fraid the plot was utter rubbish if its just a device to get Robert in Joe's debt, whether joe was actually behind the kidnap or not. Its unreal like he just happens to be jogging around to see them with Syd. wow what a clever idea to have Robert in this position so much in debt to Joe in a matter of minutes and Syd was so desperate for money he didn't even check all the way down the bag and some of it could just have been paper ridiculous

really ed can you not get some better writers or was it all your own idea mista iain ? I actually think its more annoying than anything else

and how is Robert able to sign over the mill anyway its not in his name ? what about Liv's rights ?

as for other stuff, Lachlan sl just getting boring, same with borel, and I still don't have remotest sympathy for Rebecca if we are meant to

and why does almost every other ep have to have some toilet reference ? some strange interests for someone at ed

It’s amazing to see the extent to which this programme goes from bad to worse in terms of how absolutely unbelievable storylines are becoming. This £100,000 nonsense has just seen Emmerdale writers sink to a new all-time low, at least from my viewpoint. From the silly cage scene to the kidnapping of Aaron, it was absolute codswallop! Don’t just be ashamed Emmerdale. Be very ashamed for taking your audience for fools!

Have I missed a bit...but I thought the house was bought with Liv's money. So how can Robert hand it over to Joe Tate ?????

I was wondering if I'd dreamt the fact that Aaron n Liv bought the place with inheritance. So even if Robert got hold of deeds, he can't just hand over to the smarmiest creep on tv (the poor has to live with that face in the real world. This hostage storyline was cringeworthy....what happened to the 500k Robert had not that long back? Why not use some of it instead of selling out to that muppet Joseph...keep it real Emmerdale!

This storyline is so predictable I could have written the script for them. How pathetic. Joe tries to rip of Rob, Rob rips of Joe, now Joe rips of Rob and so it goes on and on and on. Do the writers of this rubbish not realise how stupid it all is. They were doing so well too. How come devious Rob hadn't got the brain power to work it out !!!!!!! !!!!!!

What about Cain standing there like a stuffed pigeon with his rifle on the floor . They had no strategy at all. The thugs were much better prepared. And why are all thugs in Emmerdale getting £100000. The one with the acid also got £100000.

I know it's a soap but please give us the viewers a bit more respect to expect us to believe story lines like that. What have come out of the blue. Just a hour of total trash.

It's not a soap anymore....it's a fairy tale where anything and everything happens without reason logic or believability..
