Totally agree with everything you say here.

The only good thing about Aaron's story line is that it keeps him and Robert on our TV screens. That is always good. The story itself does not make any sense. It's just silly.

More to Syd than meets the eye, why would he wander around so publicly when he will be on the wanted list, surely he would use one of the McFarlane clan to do his bidding to avoid exposure.

The end phone call could be Joe but unless Joe knew about the escape plot and has full and speedy access to the McFarlane's its another odd one, also, £100k is a lot of cash for anyone to secure in cash, money laundering rules would capture this pretty quickly and how does he assume Aaron has that kind of cash.

Finally, we have Joe who is an immature womanising toff and Syd a real life thug and neither have made any derogatory comments about Robron being a gay couple, I am afraid in society both those characters would have seen it as a weakness (even though we know it truly isn't) and throw some random rude one-liner in to the conversations or barrage of abuse.

I don't know if those two were linked but you never know. I think it was Jason that he was talking to as I find it odd the actor is playing football for the Emmerdale team next week. It could be a coincidence but why play now?
