Shona Ramsey has a shocking connection to evil Nathan Curis on Coronation Street.
Actress Julia Goulding – who made her cobbles debut over Christmas as the brash cafe worker – has revealed Shona was Nathan’s last victim and only found Bethany Platt because he was trying to track her down.
Shona was wandering the cobbles alone after Nathan attacked her at Christmas and luckily found herself taken in by Vicar Billy and embraced by the street.
However, her dark secret is set to either be the making or breaking of her, when it emerges that her abusive ex is actually Bethany Platt’s grooming boyfriend.
Actress Julia told The Sun Online: “Nathan and Shona used to go out and obviously we’ve seen what he’s doing with Bethany at the moment and because Shona’s a bit older, he tried to do it to Shona but she said, ‘No way’.
“Hence why she ended up homeless on Christmas Day because he’d kicked her out.
"So when Nathan came to the street it was to follow Shona, to try and get her back,, and then he found Bethany which is awful.
"She's got cigarette burns on her shoulder that he inflicted on her.
"She has no idea that Bethany's Nathan is the Nathan she used to go out with."
The secret comes as Shona was revealed as the mother of Kylie Platt's killer, Clayton Hibbs.
Nathan has been targeting Bethany to pimp her out to his sick gang of perverts.
The schoolgirl has been slowly groomed by Nathan as he separates her from her friends and family to stop her from escaping his clutches.
It was recently revealed that Bethany would even agree to marry Nathan as his manipulation continues.

Coronation Street is lining up a grisly twist for Shona Ramsey as she is subjected to a brutal attack in an alleyway.

The ITV soap recently unveiled Shona's big secret as she was revealed to be the mum of Kylie Platt's killer Clayton Hibbs.

It had been hinted that there was a secret link between Shona and David's late wife Kylie, but her shock connection with murderous thug Clayton wasn't exposed until last week.

Unfortunately, it looks like Shona's story will take an even darker turn in upcoming scenes as new pictures see her suffering a terrible beating. Shona can be seen bruised and bleeding in these images after she is kicked in the face by two thugs, before being left for dead.

Of course, it's not just Kylie who Shona shares a connection with – she also has a concerning romantic history with Bethany Platt's groomer Nathan Curtis.

Nathan was actually following Shona to the Cobbles when he stumbled across a vulnerable Bethany on Christmas Day, but Shona is currently unaware that he's the older man who the schoolgirl is dating.

It's surely only a matter of time before Shona discovers where Nathan is now directing his attention, but she's bound to find herself in danger if she tries to come between his plans for Bethany. Could he be behind this awful attack?

But Nathan isn't the only person who Shona needs to worry about, given that we all know what her dangerous son is capable of.

Clayton might be serving time in prison for killing Kylie, but it's clear there is no love lost between him and his mum – so it's possible that he could organised an attack on her from behind his prison cell.


And let's not forget that Shona recently found herself in a pickle with another killer too – Pat Phelan.

The evil builder is aware of Shona's connection to Clayton – given that he was also in the visiting room at the same time as her – and we all know that Phelan is the last person you'd want to uncover your darkest secret. So, is Shona about to learn that the hard way?

Fans will have to keep tuned over the next few weeks as the storyline continues to play out. But the big question is, will Shona be alright after the awful attack?

Yes, she was. Clayton's father is called Dane Hibbs. Only Dane was mentioned in the episode but he must be a Hibbs as that's Clayton and Macca's surname.

Macca probably wouldn't look as old if it wasn't for the beard and moustache. The character could be around Kylie's age (30 this year.) If his father had him as young as Shona did Clayton then he could be around about his early 40's.

He's guilty of statutory rape, we know that.

Somehow Clayton had something to do with Macca while he had nothing to do with their father (as Kylie knew him pre Weatherfield and Clayton was with Shona until he was 10 in 2011 or late 2010.) Perhaps Shona originally knew Macca (remember Gemma vaguely knew her) and she got mixed up with Dane in a Dirty Den/Michelle scenario.
