Coronation Street is to stun fans with a new pregnancy bombshell - and this one's a little out of the blue.

Daniel Osbourne - played by Rob Mallard - will start dating Sinead Tinker (Katie McGlynn) and things get steamy between the two.

According to The Sun, Daniel and Sinead's bedroom antics will soon lead to Sinead getting pregnant.

Sinead wants to keep it a secret initially but it doesn't take long for Daniel to stumble across her pregnancy test. Daniel thinks the baby belongs to Sinead's ex-boyfriend Chesney, but she assures him that it's his.

The tabloid says that once Daniel's father Ken Barlow finds out the news from the couple, he's not exactly overjoyed.

Ken fumes that Daniel could be a father at only 22 years old and blames Sinead for holding his son back - and even warns Daniel to stay away.

Will Daniel listen to dad Ken and leave pregnant Sinead behind? Or will he help Sinead through her pregnancy and plan to the best father he can be?



Ken, meanwhile, has a life-changing announcement for his family next week - and it's set to divide the Barlows completely.

Rob Mallard has spoken openly about his sexuality and why he doesn't want to hide it.
The Coronation Street star has admitted that he originally feared viewers wouldn't believe his on-screen relationships with women, but that he didn't want to hide who he really is.
Rob, who plays Ken Barlow's son Daniel Osbourne, spoke about starring in the ITV soap in Gay Times magazine.
He said: "I never planned to keep it quiet that I was gay. The only concern I had at first was if I’m with a female character, will an audience who knows I’m gay in real life believe it? But that was just my own fears because I do believe they will."
Rob had a stress-free experience when he came out to his friends and family at the age of 17, with them immediately accepting him and showing their support.
He added: "I was very fortunate, I had a very non-plussed family and it’s become the subject of warm, friendly general humour over the years."
Rob's character will soon be seen enjoying a saucy romp with Sinead Tinker on the Underworld factory floor, despite her still being in a relationship with Chesney Brown.
Poor Ches, who is played by Sam Aston, will be left devastated after finding out what his girlfriend has been up to behind his back.
Sinead - portrayed by Katie McGlynn - will be swept up by passion when Daniel confesses his feelings for her.
Katie told The Sun: "Sinead and Chesney have been together forever and she’s just grown up. They’ve been arguing. Daniel sees a quirky girl in Sinead and he calls her mysterious and exotic. The situation with Chesney kind of pushes them together.
"They first sleep together in the factory. Daniel needs somewhere quiet to study and Sinead keeps doing overtime at the factory so she invites him to work there.
"There’s a scene beforehand where they are having a laugh and you can feel the tension but nothing happens."
It's all kept a secret until Adam Barlow starts winding Daniel up about being a virgin and he snaps.
Adam tells Chesney about his girlfriend's infidelity, leading to an emotional break-up for the long-term couple.

The character who plays Todd is not gay and actresses who play kate and sophie are not Lesbian so it does not make a difference! We know its all make believe especially with ridiculous storylines. My only problem is pairing him with a character that does not have any chemistry due to lack of personality
