Chelsee Healey has spoken out about her plans for a future on Hollyoaks following last week's revelation that she's expecting a baby with her on/off partner Jack Malloy.
The show has already revealed that they knew about Chelsee's pregnancy enough in advance to plan upcoming storylines to allow her some time off to have the baby, and now Chelsee is confirming that time off definitely means just that, and she'll be back on our screens in no time.
"I'm definitely coming back to Hollyoaks," Chelsee told Sunday People. "One of the first things I said after breaking the baby news was, 'I hope I've still got a job'."
Chelsee recently joined the Channel 4 soap as the trouble-making mother of twins Goldie McQueen, and she even added that the soap has a nursery for actors to use during filming on set, which will make her return to Hollyoaks after having her baby all the smoother.
There's no news yet about when exactly Goldie will be bowing out from the show temporarily, but we do know that her onscreen sons Hunter and Prince McQueen will be sticking around to cause all sorts of mischief while their mum's away.
Chelsee revealed she was expecting a baby with long-term boyfriend Jack Molloy earlier this week with a source saying Chelsee hopes the baby can help strengthen the couple's rocky relationship.
And speaking to The Mirror at Wednesday night's National Television Awards, Chelsee said that Jack has "been amazing" since they found out the news.
"He's been looking at all the baby websites," she said. "He's my best friend and I wouldn't want to be *going through this with anybody but him."
Onscreen, Chelsee's love life may not be getting on quite as well, with Goldie's jailbird ex, and the twins' dad, Shane making an appearance in the village and looking ready to stir up trouble.
