We trade three times more in value with europe than we do with the USA and if he carrys on his protectionist policy he would obviously look to reduce imports from every where... good luck May your going to need it.

Still being fobbed off by the contractors re the point to plug in a washing machine in my flat, will give them today to come back to me then Im calling the company executive direct,, this is getting silly now.

I read an interesting article in the Guardian the other day that gave me a bit of hope. I'd never heard this before but apparently triggering Article 50 doesn't necessarily mean we'll only have two years to withdraw from the EU, nor does it mean that we HAVE to leave. The time we have can be extended and we can change our mind if enough people come to realise what a bad idea it is.

Also, even if we do leave it doesn't mean we couldn't rejoin very quickly (possibly under the same terms we have now) if we realise we've made a huge mistake. Most other members of the EU don't want us to leave because Brexit destabilises the whole region, encourages other countries to think about doing the same, is also helping to fuel the rise of ultra nationalism.

I think there's still reason to hope it won't happen, but we're going to have to suffer for enough people to change their minds that it creates a strong enough national feeling against it.
