Ken was lucky and got help very quickly, which means that recovery can be quick as a lot of damage would have been prevented with appropriate treatment. And every patient recovers differently and in soapland, nobody is ill for long, even after serious head injuries and operations ... some patients leave hospital without even a scar after a head operation and not the slightest headache .. like Pat Phelan

Has Ken always had a car
Coronation Street boss Kate Oates has teased dark times ahead for Ken Barlow as his past comes back to haunt him this spring.
The last few months have seen Ken reconnect with his estranged son Daniel Osbourne, who he hadn't had any contact with since he was a child. But despite their pair's reunion, it seems that Ken's shortcoming as a father haven't been forgotten either.
"Ken's been an absolutely rubbish father and grandfather," Kate told Soaplife. "Ironically, he's been the best parent to Tracy and she's not even his.
"Anyway, Ken's increasingly ill-judged attempts at parenting and grandparenting will come back to bite him this spring."
In the meantime, it looks like Daniel has some big challenges to face of his own, having recently discovered that his new girlfriend Sinead Tinker is expecting his baby.
Despite some initial uncertainty, the pair have decided to go ahead with the pregnancy - but the news is bound to unsettle Ken who has high hopes for his son's academic future.
Kate said: "Daniel wants to create the family he's missed out on. But, then again, he's set on going to Oxford University to fulfil his academic potential.
"Sinead wants the baby, but it's far from being that simple for the pair."
