I must admit I was a bit bored with tonight's episode, it seemed along 27 minutes. ( I don't think EastEnders works sandwiched in between the two Corrie's)

Aaron Sidwell stepped up to the mark tonight, the scenes with steven and Jane were very good, but I can't bare Lesley Jane taking the moral high ground after what she did with Lucy's body. The scenes with Ben and Denny were good as were the scenes with Kathy and Ben.

And that wasn't the worst of it. Letting Max go to prison was unspeakable. Moral high ground? Jane is in a cesspit of immorality - in fact she is a cesspit of immorality.

I wonder if anyone will even notice her deterioration?

(I wasn't quite sure what Dot was doing when she was scrabbling around in a cupboard towards the end so I might have missed something important.)

I'm also wondering where the embezzling storyline is going. It feels to me like it's going to lead into something bigger.
I think you may be right with Dot going blind, does she already have glasses

I think Sharon's bratty son will scare her with his fireworks

It's a bit frustrating the Kim vs Dot story.

Kim clearly dropped her phone was trying to get that when she ran into Dot. Whilst not having a driving licence to be unaccompanied.

Writing it that Dot's not able to see just wipes any blame from Kim which is wrong.

Dealing with the issue of Dot not being 100% fit to drive should have been kept separate from Kijm's driving lesson saga.

It's a valuable thing to get people discussing - when are you too old to drive. You have to self-declare and often the loss of independence is felt that it's the beginnning of the end for old people, especially those in rural areas.

I'm still quite horrified at the idea of Dot needing a car let alone driving. They're in London. Which has buses and tube that run at much greater regularity than anywhere else in the country. Dot works across the square from where she lives. She's always popping in to the minimart for things and there's a great veg stall there too. Why does she need a car?

Does Ian and Jane not speak to Peter anymore?

That young son of Carmel with the bun is a huge douchebag (I feel so hip and cool using that word ) Rebecca deserves better

Lovely scenes with Dot and Patrick. Good to see EastEnders making the most of their older cast.

I wonder if they are setting the storyline up for Peter's return? I wouldn't trust Steven as far as I could throw him. I am surprise at Jane sticking up for Steven. We all know why Peter won't come back Jane, because of you protecting your Psycho son, who killed his sister. Who can blame Peter. The Beale's are rotten to the core. I don't think even SOC will be able to repair the damage left by DTC. They are repugnant.

Was it acknowledged that Peter stopped talking to Ian and Jane and cut off contact over Bobby?

It would have made sense for Lauren to have returned with Louis as she and Peter clashed over Max getting blamed but her return was a failure as she too sided with Bobby

And we to believe Stephen that Peter is now an alcoholic in New Zealand

I enjoyed Kim in tonights episode, I did find her amusing the way she left the car virtually in the middle of the road. Stacey is just simply amazing. I love all the scenes in Pat's house. I can just picture Pat looking down on them all, smiling and saying to Stacey " you are doing a good job girl."

The Lee scenes are quite sad to watch, I wonder how Danny Boy is going to leave the show? and does Linda leave soon afterwards?

I find it quite strange that I've grown to like Lee for the first time. I've been indifferent to him before now and wasn't at all sad when I heard he was leaving. Better writing recently has made him much more relatable and I now wish he was staying (not least for Whitney's sake - who's also much more likeable nowadays).
