This all happens after (presumably) James dies, obviously Ross goes off the rails and fights back against Dan, Ross has been feeling guilty about it so it would make sense for Dan to hit him and then thats it. I'm shocked that Ross hits him back, but it could be a result of his dad dying. Surely the last 2 spoilers are about Ross, he is the only one in the village who has attempted to kill someone, well what people know of anyway, obviously Robert has done his fair share of crimes aswell.

The attempted murder thing could be about James? Ross could be framed or someone else might be charged, it's hard to tell until we see this weeks episodes as they will be holding stuff back

But it could fit in with Ross going off the rails as we know he will have to go off screen for couple weeks
