I just had a quick look thru the episode summaries etc & found out the following: Episode 6413 (Mon May 2 in Aust) Billie was raped at the end of this episode. Episode 6414 (Tue 3 May) the aftermath of the rape & Billie tells Oscar what happened & that she is going away for a while, & gets him to promise he won't tell anyone. The next couple of episodes are the explosion/Oscar dying etc. Episode 6419 (Mon May 9) Billie returns & VJ turns up at the farmhouse - they sleep together. Episode 6420 (Tue May 10) Dylan takes Ash & then Kat hostage & when Billie turns up he throws her to the floor. Afterwards, Billie collapses & is taken to the hospital. After the lady doc takes tests, she says to Billie "Did you have any idea you are pregnant?" Billie says "What!". It sounds like the doc then says "Your Beta NCA? levels are elevated about 25, which means you probably would have conceived about 10 days ago".
(So Billie finds out she is pregnant after the hostage situation, not after the gym class I mentioned before. And she is told she is about 10 days pregnant, only the day after sleeping with VJ)

I have this memory of watching the episode when Billie and VJ first slept together and wondering if she only did it so she could claim him as the father. It turned out she wasn't being manipulative after all, but I'm just wondering why I clearly remember that thought passing through my head? It's probably just a good example of memories being completely unreliable.

Carjack Drama Leaves Billie & Baby in Danger!

The lives of Billie Ashford (Tessa de Josselin) and her unborn baby will be put under threat next week, when the mum-to-be is hit by a car driven by her friend Phoebe Nicholson (Isabella Giovinazzo) following a carjacking!

TV Week reports that the drama starts when Kat spies Ash conducting what looks to be a dodgy deal with Simmo – and whilst Simmo manages to give her the slip, Kat later arrests Ash at the garage when he refuses to cooperate. After a reluctant Ash agrees to help Kat catch Simmo in order to secure his own freedom, an undercover operation is put into place. However the snare goes wrong when Simmo spies a radio on one of the undercover cops and makes a run for it.

Later, Phoebe returns to her car after a date with Justin when she is suddenly grabbed from behind by Simmo, who forces her to drive him out of the bay. Once a safe distance away, Simmo makes his getaway and tells Phoebe to close her eyes and count to a hundred before she departs. Shaken up after the experience, Phoebe puts her foot down and looks over her shoulder to make sure she’s safe, only to then hit something – Billie!

Billie is rushed to hospital where Nate (who else!) battles to save both her and the baby—and whilst both will make it through, Nate later makes a discovery following some odd blood tests, one which Billie will beg him to keep secret….

Viewers already know of Billie’s big secret of course, being that the father of her baby isn’t in fact VJ Patterson, but Irene‘s long-lost son Mick Jennings, who raped Billie in the gym earlier this year.

Could Nate have rumbled her, or could it relate to something more serious…? The synopsis for that episode states that Nate makes a “devastating discovery” so it could well be.

Those who keep up with spoilers will know that Billie will tragically lose her life in the new year, and rumours are abound that Nate may be about to deliver a cancer diagnosis. If true, then could Billie choose to forego treatment in order to save the life of her unborn daughter?

We already know the baby (named Luc according to a leaked script page) survives and has already been seen in dramatic scenes with Irene & Mick, and later pictured at her mother’s memorial service.

With several months of storylines to go before Billie’s demise, including a wedding, the possibilities are endless….

That`s such a shame about Billie....I had really grown to like her. I`m not looking forward to the VJ grieving scenes. Although it seems with any sad storyline involving a death on H&A, VJ`s grief will last about a week - about the same length as Hunters grief when his Mother died.

Last just rejoiced th police force. I think ash gets caught up in the chop shop gang, Andy was involved in. He then helps Kat.

Yes, TaintedLove, as kaz21 mentioned, earlier this week we saw Kat rejoin the police force. Sergeant McCarthy let her back in on the proviso that she is not involved with Ash anymore - she assured him they are over. But, the spoilers for a couple of weeks time say "will Kat & Ash be able to keep their relationship a secret?" & there are pictures around of Kat & Ash together recently (see the latest article I posted on the John & Marilyn thread), so it will be interesting to see how they try & keep things discreet! I think Kat mentioned to McCarthy that she may also look into getting out of her investment in the garage? - that hasn't happened yet, so it will also be interesting to see if that goes ahead/is followed up. When she rejoined, the Sarge gave her badge back, but there was no mention (unless I missed that part!) of whether she got her old rank back. Didn't she get promoted not all that long ago to Senior Constable? Does she go back to being a Senior Constable or does she have to start from scratch? (I don't think they have shown a close enough look at her name tag as yet, to see whether it has her rank on it.)

I believe you're correct that Kat was recently promoted to Senior Constable.

My completely ill-informed guess would be that she returned at the same rank, especially if the phrase "get her badge back" was used. I haven`t seen this weeks episodes yet. I watch H&A at Oz pace, and I save all all episodes to watch at the weekend in a wonderful marathon session along with Neighbours. I can get a lot of my knitting projects done while watching online. Its my fave part of the weekend.

I don`t know what it is about Kat, but I just can`t warm to her. She seems to speak in a monotone kind of way when she delivers her lines like she`s reading off a teleprompter. Even during a particular tense scene.
I can`t help but wonder if the H&A producer bought her onto the show as a replacement for Charlie Buckton as they both are beautiful and have similar features. And it always bugged me how badly Kat treated Ash....one of my fave characters on the show. I`ve always had a soft spot for Ash since he first appeared.
Oops sorry, I didn`t mean to go way off topic on a Billie thread (sorry Billie). I`m so sorry she is leaving. Not sure if it was her decision to leave or not, but its a shame regardless. Having a cancer storyline is a bit of a cop out considering what Billie has gone through this past year.
And to think I really disliked Billie when she first appeared. Its amazing what a good bit of writing can do to change my mind on a character.

My completely ill-informed guess would be that she returned at the same rank, especially if the phrase "get her badge back" was used. Taken literally that phrase implies she got the very same badge back that she handed in when she left (I'm again guessing here that the aforementioned badge would state her rank). Also, no mention of a demotion implies that didn't happen to my mind.

However, never let it be said that H&A is either realistic or logical!

Well done Dazzle! In tonight's episode Kat actually mentioned to Ash & Billie that she is indeed still a Senior Constable (but on a period of probation), so case closed, so to speak! (Kat also mentioned to Nate later on that when she rejoined the force she signed a contract saying she would declare all her relationships & wouldn't associate with criminals).
