Then the sadness of loosing a child after being shunned by her husband for his childhood sweetheart. Then the court case and charges! The writers must really disappointed like Mrs Willis as she had to deal with a ridiculous relationship with Pervy Paul urgh!
As for Mark and Steph it was a clear case of who's left? It won't last Mark is to square for Steph.
Page and Jack do one go bore someone else! Page should go to her uni classes more and sod off and concentrate on her studies and farther jack should go to the Olympics in Rio as he seems pretty tidy with the gloves on for an Australian and in return this boring story line would disappear but not like Lucy and keep reappearing every 6 months I mean like kyle! Gone like the wind.
I hope Gary c gets his own back on sleeve ball Ã*nd piper pipes down and perhaps considers summer camp or something as she too is becoming particularly annoying.
I will say my favorite charchter is Lauren as I'm in awe of her ability to have such interesting eyebrows yet give the impression she made all the cakes and pastries single handedly as her catering protégé and long lost daughter page has definitely not had her mind on the job as she's been boring us to tears for ages.
    Bit like me lol
Nice rant! I agree with much of what you say (except for the Lauren part).

However, I'm sure Paul recognises deep down that he's done a lot worse and is hypocritical to hate her for what she did when mad with grief. He's been forgiven many terrible transgressions by his family and the residents of Erinsborough. Only yesterday he blackmailed poor Gary and threatened to send him back to prison on a trumped up charge!
If you'd agree if it were real, well why not in this case?

Paul has done many things, but not to Terese. However grief stricken she was, she didn't have to pay someone to put Paul in jail.

Neighbours is set in its own fictional universe so I don't apply my real life standards to it. I think Paul is a great character because he's entertaining and charismatic and played by a good actor, however I'd despise him for his immorality in real life. I'd also tell Terese to run a mile from the scumbag, but I like their on screen chemistry and want to see them get together.

As for what Paul has done to Terese personally, I don't think that matters. He's a very bad person and would do the same or worse if he thought someone had killed one of his kids - so he's a hypocrite for blaming Terese. Plus he has in fact hurt her personally. Remember that time not so long ago that he planted drugs on Josh with the intention of sending him to prison? If I remember correctly, Josh only escaped punishment because Naomi discovered Paul's evil plan.

Nothing Terese did to Paul was worse than what he has done to other people. Karma.

    Monday

Terese reveals to Madison that she has the rundown for the shareholders' meeting this afternoon, which she received from "an anonymous source". Terese decides to attend herself on behalf of Amber, given that Doug's shares in the motel were willed to Matilda. Paul is stunned when Terese shows up at the meeting and proceeds to argue with everything he says.

When the meeting is finished, Paul asks Terese what it will take to get her out of his motel. She tells him she wants her chef back and Paul concedes defeat. When Terese later runs in to Gary, she thanks him for his help – but Paul gets suspicious when he sees them talking.

Meanwhile, Jack is worried when he learns of Paige's plan to take part in a pro boxing match. He later tackles Tyler, accusing him of not showing enough care towards the woman he's involved with. Tyler retaliates, reminding Jack that what Paige does is none of his business. Spiralling out of control afterwards, Jack has too many drinks.

Jack wakes up the next morning by the side of Lassiters Lake and has no memory of what's happened the night before. He's also got a bloodied hand, but what did he get up to?

Elsewhere, Ben is gutted when he realises that Xanthe didn't stand him up. Xanthe is similarly devastated, given Ben has been with Alison. What will happen when Xanthe later finds herself in a compromising position with Cooper?

    Tuesday

Still with no memory of the night before, Jack worries that he injured his hand by beating up Tyler. He turns to Amy for help and she is relieved to discover that Tyler is actually unharmed. Amy also confronts Paige, wondering if she's having this fling with Tyler and deciding to train for competitive boxing just to get back at Jack.

Paige is enraged and goes to tell Jack off for sending his friend over to fight his battles, but she's stopped in her tracks when she sees his injured fist. She learns that he saw her with Tyler the night before and was so upset that he punched the wall. Seeing how tormented he is, Paige urges him to admit that he made the wrong decision by sticking with the priesthood.

Meanwhile, Paul urges Gary to keep Terese distracted enough so that he can call Amber and convince her to hand over Matilda's proxy vote to him. While at lunch, Terese and Gary get on great. Despite this, Gary dismisses a call from Amber when Terese isn't looking, effectively losing her opportunity to talk Amber out of giving the proxy vote to Paul.

Later, Paul tells Terese that she no longer has Matilda's vote and it was Gary who set her up.

Elsewhere, Sonya tries to reason with Clive but he is less than cooperative. When he starts to threaten Sonya, she has no choice but to put her foot down. Sonya is disappointed that she couldn't solve this problem, but Toadie is proud of her strong stance.

Also today, Mark receives a call stating that a snake has been captured. When Elly tells Mark that a different snake bit her, he realises that someone has deliberately let the snakes loose and there's no knowing how many are out there. Charlie decides to take matters into his own hands and peeks into Clive's ute, finding the same sort of brick that was thrown through the law office window. However, trouble could be brewing when he's caught by Clive.

    Wednesday

When Steph and Mark discover that Charlie is AWOL, they launch a search for the youngster and find him with Clive. Mark searches Clive's ute for snakes, but finds only building supplies. Clive assumes he's off the hook, but Mark realises the bricks in the ute are similar to the one that was used to vandalise Rebecchi Law and places Clive under arrest. When the bricks prove a match, Mark pressures Clive to confess that he's the one who's been terrorising Ramsay Street. Clive refuses to comment.

Later, Mark and Steph learn that Elly has found the snake that bit her and it's been removed from the street. They dare to hope that they're out of danger, but little do they know, the culprit behind the snake attacks is still out there and has no intention of stopping...

Meanwhile, Elly flirts with Ned to cheer herself up and it's not long before they agree to go for a drink together.

Elsewhere, Ned is rattled by an encounter with an old biker mate and insists he doesn't want any of the old gang to know he's back in town. What is Ned hiding?

    Thursday

Paige listens to Jack preach at the church. She finds his words about love both inspiring and moving, especially the part where he confesses to having experienced love recently. Afterwards, she visits him in the confessional and admits that her hook-ups with Tyler have been about both proving to herself that she's moved on as well as hurting Jack. She doesn't want to play games anymore, but she also doesn't know how to reconcile herself to the strength of her feelings for him when she can't have him.

A tortured Jack is unable to respond, but the two eventually share a moment of connection before Paige flees. When she recounts how she felt about Jack's sermon to Tyler, he urges her to stay away from Jack because it will only cause her heartache.

Meanwhile, Steph throws a party for Charlie's birthday and is determined that his first birthday with her in years is going to be a winner. When Charlie thanks Steph for her efforts and calls her 'mum' for the first time, she is overjoyed. However, her pleasure is short-lived when she registers how much Mark savours parental engagement. Is he going to want a child of his own soon?

Elsewhere, Toadie is uneasy when he thinks he sees someone watching from the bushes in Ramsay Street. He can't find the peeping tom and dismisses it as his imagination, until he returns home and feels that someone has been in the house while he was away.

Also today, Jack is surprised by a mysterious parishioner at the church, who confesses to releasing the snakes in Ramsay Street before talking about how much 'she' needs to be punished. When Jack tries to elicit more information, the confessor flees.

    Friday

Steph continues to fear that Mark wants a baby and confesses her concerns to Sonya. Despite wanting to give Mark a child, she's worried about the health implications. Sonya suggests she asks Karl for advice. While Karl alleviates some of Steph's fears, she realises that in order to have a baby, she would either have to put the child at some risk - or herself.

After much soul searching, Steph tells Mark that she can't have another child and would understand if that means their relationship is over. Mark is thrown, but how will he respond?

Meanwhile, finding a forgotten Harold's Cafe receipt in the confessional booth, Jack believes it's the only lead to finding the stalker. When he asks Mark whether the police have an idea about who released the snakes on Ramsay Street, Jack is shocked to discover the police are convinced it was Clive West. Knowing differently but unable to say anything, Jack vows to stay close to Paige - determined to protect her without her knowing why.

Paige agrees when Jack offers to teach her more about his calling and why he is a priest. Committing herself to Jack's teachings and to be a better person, Paige breaks off her casual relationship with Tyler.

Later, the stalker's real target is revealed...

Neighbours priest Jack Callahan is probably used to awkward confessional visits every now and again, but this one really takes the biscuit.

Jack (Andrew Morley) gets a surprise later this month when his ex-girlfriend Paige Smith (Olympia Valance) comes to see him at the church with something to get off her chest.

First of all, Paige listens in out of sight when Jack preaches to a congregation and she's surprised when he admits that he's experienced love recently – knowing that he's talking about her.

Heading into the confessional afterwards, Paige talks openly about her recent hook-ups with Tyler Brennan – admitting that she's just been trying to hurt Jack and prove to herself that she's moved on.

Paige admits that she doesn't want to play games anymore, but she doesn't know how to deal with her feelings when she knows that she can't have Jack.

Since this is all way too close to home, an emotional Jack is unable to respond – but they eventually share an emotional moment of connection before Paige flees.

When Paige heads straight back to Tyler for some words of wisdom, he encourages her to stay away from Jack and save herself a whole world of heartache.

With Jack seemingly determined to stick with the church, that sounds like good advice to us...

Neighbours airs these scenes on Thursday, August 18 at 1.45pm and 5.30pm on Channel 5.

Paul is concerned about what Terese did to HIM. Not good in a relationship is it?
