I had a lovely day out in clacton on sea last week. Took a whole load of older people on a coach as part of my voluntary work. Its such a laugh. . The beach was packed out. I nearly did'nt go as my husband had a heart attack a few weeks ago. But he is on the mend slowly but surely. I was so tired though so it was good there were lots of benches to sit down on everywhere On top of all that i just found out i am diabetic which is a shock thats probably why i was feeling so tired. Life without sugar is hard especially as i love chocolate. But i am following all the right guidance
Siobhan hope you have a good break

Awww I am so sorry to hear about your diabetes diagnosis and that hubby had a heart attack, glad he is on the mend and that you got the right guidance to live with your condition. Did you see parkerman at Clacton on Sea? Hopefully you can go on more trips like that as you obviously had a fab time

Glad you had a good day out in Clacton.

You should have looked in on me at the West Cliff Theatre!

Sorry to hear your husband had a heart attack and you've been diagnosed with diabetes. You've had a terrible run of bad luck.

Missed your earlier post Parkerman re. Ray Brooks. Should be a very interesting guest at your theatre. I don't know how many remember in the 60's he played the husband to the actress Carol White in a TV drama called "Cathy Come Home" written I think by Ken Loach. Told the story of an evicted family who eventually had their children forcibly removed by the authorities. Viewing figures around 12 million. Caused absolute outrage with the public and questions for politicians. Too close to reality I guess.
Remember him in EE ,has some very interesting views about the show ,allegedly,
