Yes that little speech by Keeble was out of character for her and a truly pathetic attempt by the DTC to let the Beales off the hook.
I can understand as Splashy says that Keeble wouldn't want the investigation into Max looked at more closely, but I don't believe for one second she wouldn't be furious at Bobby's parents for leading her and her colleagues up the garden path. The sympathy she showed was an outrageous attempt to whitewash Jane and Ian's part in covering for Bobby. And as others have pointed out, Max's wrongful conviction wasn't even mentioned!
I really feel like us viewers are being treated like fools - and this from a rare viewer who's had some sympathy for the Beales' dilemma even though I vehemently disagree with their actions.
I've always wondered what exactly is the point of concurrent sentences?![]()
